Townhome vacation rentals in Edinburgh Old Town

Olga is very friendly, and the place is quiet and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing stay. It’s about 30 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, making it a convenient location. We also appreciated that it was pet-friendly! A foldable table for dining would make the experience even better, but overall, we had a great stay.

It was a real pleasure at Alison and Phil's home. Alison and Phil have been nothing but super hospitable and friendly. They also have the cutest little dog Teasel. Every day they provided us with fresh water, coffee and tea readily available in the room including some nice biscuits :-) the location is superb, it's only a 20-30 min walk to the center, a lot shorter by tram, which stops right in the street next to the house. We really enjoyed staying at their cozy place, and will definitely book again if we decide to revisit Edinburgh!

Guy is a fantastic host. The house was warm, clean and very spacious yet it still felt cosy. The three bathrooms are brilliant if you're travelling in a group. As we were staying over Christmas, Guy provided a beautiful Christmas tree that we loved. He also left us a lovely basket of goodies on arrival, including essentials like milk and bread. The house feels private and was lovely and quiet with a great parking space. Easy bus or walk into town to see the delights of Edinburgh. Would highly recommend Guy's place! We had a gorgeous time there.

We loved staying here, very easy entry but was down stairs in the cellar so was a tad slippy and dark. The room was absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures. Smelt amazing when you walked in and everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfy and cozy, very nice and warm room perfect for December in Edinburgh! Bathroom was perfect too and we even had a little side room for our bag and coats off our bedroom which was nice to have things out the way. Great location next to the park and a very easy walk to town/ train station and bus links. Would 100% recommend this place to stay.

He is very nicely located, especially if you like to walk to get to know the city. Will was always very kind and attentive at all times.

superb experience. Emily is a truly great host. Kind, thoughtful and generous, Emily went above and beyond to help us which we appreciated very much indeed. The apartment is luxurious in every respect. And the location is, of course, perfect. We love the city and have been visiting regularly for decades. This was our best trip yet. Even Storm Eowyn could spoil it; thanks to Emily.

Thank you for a gorgeous 4 weeks in Edibugh. The house is beautiful and we felt right at home. Such a great location in Edinburgh as in the pretty new town, easily accessible to the old town and leith and many hill walks! Rosie was a really helpful host and very communicative. We loved the kitchen and the living room and the place felt very cosy. Some great bars around aswell!

We had a great stay at Sam’s place. Perfect location for everything we wanted to do and see, easily walkable to station, the city’s main attractions, restaurants/cafes/bars, on the doorstep of Holyrood park and Arthur’s Seat. Sam is a really great host and provided us lots of useful information and local knowledge of what to do given the rainy weather which we thought was really helpful. Loved the fact he supplied tea, coffee and breakfast supplies free of charge. 😊 His place is super clean, quiet and extremely comfortable to stay in. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again if we are staying visiting the city again!

We had a wonderful time staying with Douglas. He was super helpful with local trips and transport advice! He was very welcoming (and so was max!!). It felt like a home away from home. The house was gorgeous - our room was well furnished with attention to detail. The room had a cute kettle and a fantastic selection of teas!

Roberta’s place was very clean and easy to access. It’s down a quiet street which is easily accessible to the train station and tram. Everywhere is walkable and the Christmas market was easy to get to. Would stay here again!

Really nice spacious flat in a great area of Edinburgh. I spent 2 weeks here and loved it. Marina was super responsive and generous, providing a well-stocked kitchen and a thorough introduction to the flat and the city.

Katrina and David were super friendly and helpful hosts. Everything was as described. Comfy beds and whole house clean. Felt like home. Would not hesitate to recommend and would return if ever in this area again.

We loved the Stockbridge location & the beautiful flat! So many nice restaurants & shops in a quiet neighborhood with Connie stone streets. Matt was a helpful host, recommending & then ordering taxi service to the airport. Matt was very responsive over New Year’s Eve & day when a fuse had tripped & service was needed. It was taken care of within an hour!

I had a wonderful stay! The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city. The room was very comfortable allowing a restful night's sleep. The living room was beautiful and added to the charm of the place. The hosts Gemma and Stefano were very responsive and attentive. I would definitely come back!

Great location - easy walking to cafes, restaurants, shopping, golf courses, and beautiful Gullane Beach. Excellent, clean and well equipped home. Clare was a very responsive and helpful host.

Lovely house with an array of bedrooms to choose for the picky traveler. Well equipped, with beautiful paintings and an adequate heating system. Bathrooms are fully equipped with the amenities like shampoo, body soap, conditioner and body lotion. Absolutely love the house and would stay again in the future! The hosts, both Frederick and Liane were very welcoming too. Either you're here for whisky or for the sights, you won't be disappointed.

The location is great, with the 31 bus stop right outside the residential development. The house is new and in excellent condition.

It was absoulte worth and the place had everything that you'd need to get started in a new city. Host is friendly and polite and helped to settle in the city. The biggest usp in my view was living area as that was quite generous in size and cozy for winter season.

Sitting in the living room and chatting with Andrius for hours，he‘s a kind and nice man！The room was clean and tidy，and i will definitely come back😊
