Townhome vacation rentals in Edinburgh Old Town

really a good place to live in for holiday. lovely view esp. when you have a walk in the morning, the view around that area is amazing. Convenient location to go to Edinburgh as well. Everything is clean and tidy. There is a mini fridge in too. highly recommended!

Wonderful host in a wonderful city. We spend a week in October in the coziest spot in town - away from the bustling city in a local home. Fiona welcomed us and told us all we needed to know. She provided everything we needed and the sweetest golden retriever. Couldn't have wished for a better place to sleep. Huge thanks from Denmark! 🇩🇰

We loved staying here, very easy entry but was down stairs in the cellar so was a tad slippy and dark. The room was absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures. Smelt amazing when you walked in and everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfy and cozy, very nice and warm room perfect for December in Edinburgh! Bathroom was perfect too and we even had a little side room for our bag and coats off our bedroom which was nice to have things out the way. Great location next to the park and a very easy walk to town/ train station and bus links. Would 100% recommend this place to stay.

Great place, ideal location for me, own entrance, spotless

Our stay at Emily’s Airbnb was nothing short of a delight. For starters, the booking provided incredible value for money. For what we paid, we expected a small bedroom with an attached bathroom. Instead, we were granted access to our own wing of a manor. The bathroom was both old world AND cutting edge, and the bedroom suite felt lifted from a Scottish episode of “Downton Abbey”. The kitchen was also fully equipped to facilitate a full Scottish breakfast every morning. Lastly, Emily was the consummate host. She was incredibly generous with her knowledge of the area, and even decorated the room with Christmas decorations. When next we’re in Edinburgh, Emily’s place will be our first port of call!

Andrew is an immensely helpful host who offered local information making our stay very easy and pleasant and also helped with last minute check in\out requests. The home was very clean and well equipped and in a very good location to get around even boasting a local cinema and shopping complex. It has been a pleasure to stay in Edinburgh for the first time and will most certainly stay at Andrew’s place again on our next visit. Thank you, Andrew & Patricia, for a lovely experience.

46 Cumberland St is a perfect slice of Edinburgh. Walkable to all major sites, food, and shopping while tucked away on a quiet, historic street. The townhouse was comfortable and spotless. The Christmas decor added an extra special touch and the updated bathroom was a wonderful surprise. 10/10 recommend!!

We have stayed 3 nights at Sam’s place. This was a perfect stay – A True Home Away from Home! From the moment we arrived, everything about this Airbnb was simply perfect. The host went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a personalized welcome note, snacks, and fresh linens. The space itself was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was ideal – quiet enough for a peaceful retreat, yet close to all the attractions and amenities we wanted to experience. The host's local recommendations were spot-on, helping us discover hidden gems we wouldn't have found otherwise. What truly made this stay unforgettable was the host's genuine hospitality. They were always available for questions and quick to answer. This was by far one of the best Airbnb experiences we've ever had. We left with wonderful memories. Thanks.

We didn’t want to leave. Tansies home was beautiful, clean, quiet and the most comfortable beds. We took advantage of nearly every recommendation she provided and our Edinburgh stay was so greatly enjoyed. Easy walks to many places and a short uber ride to The Royal Mile…even though you could walk. We would absolutely recommend Tansies home to anyone traveling to Edinburgh and without a doubt, we would stay there again.

Lovely stay only 20 mins from the centre. Also easy to get the bus straight to the zoo! The place was very homely and happily stay again.

We were warmly welcomed by Douglas, Matthew and Max the dog. They were super friendly and our room was really nice. We got some local tips when we asked and had some nice chats about the city. Overall great experience!

A truly wonderful apartment that goes beyond being picture-pretty—it has a character and heart. From its large windows and original decor (the chairs, the horse, the library!) to the smallest thoughtful touches, this place is a magical choice for a stay in Edinburgh. Unlike typical Airbnb rentals or hotels, this place had no odd smells, and both water pressure and temperature were consistently good. Everything was nice and clean, creating a very cozy and lived-in atmosphere. My only issue was with heating system: despite setting the thermostat to 21.5°C, the temperature seemed to never go above 17°C. Even with wearing a lot of layers of wool, I felt extremely cold, which unfortunately dampened my overall experience of Edinburgh, as I was going out to cold streets already shaking from cold.

Emma’s place was outstanding!! It was extremely clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Great restaurant recommendations! Rollo’s was great! Easy walking to everywhere yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Tram to airport was minutes from the door. Communication was top notch. Would highly recommend.

Really nice spacious flat in a great area of Edinburgh. I spent 2 weeks here and loved it. Marina was super responsive and generous, providing a well-stocked kitchen and a thorough introduction to the flat and the city.

A very comfortable stay here. The sun room was lovely. The host was great, lots of information and very responsive. A bit of a walk into the city but there are loads of bus and tram options. Flexible check in with door access. Felt private despite being shared. Would recommend.

The house has beautiful exterior as well as pretty and well organized interior. There are bus stops few meters away from the front gate. The kitchen is very tidy and good for cooking. Kay is kind from the heart.

This place was fantastic and Clare the host was brilliant, loads of info in advance, the house was spotless, couldnt have asked for more. Everything was top notch and warm. We were up for a wedding at Archefield and it was in a great spot, ideal location and i cant rave enough about it. We felt so at home and didnt want for anything. A very stylist modern property in a traditional stone building on the highstreet of Haddington. Large well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, oven and gas hob on the ground floor. Comfortable lounge on the 1st floor with internet TV. 4 cosy bedrooms over 1st and 2nd floor. Beautiful high quality interior design, high end fixtures and fittings, everything we needed. Hosts live next door, who gave us a tour of the property and showed us how everything worked. Kitchen had all basics included which was a nice touch. Close walking distance to pubs, restaurants, bakery, fish & chips, and local shops. Very relaxing stay for a group of friends

The location is great, with the 31 bus stop right outside the residential development. The house is new and in excellent condition.

Great place, easy to get to and travel into Edinburgh

We had a lovely few days staying at Magnus’ home, which is very welcoming and has lots of character. All the instructions were clear and easy to understand and follow, and Magnus’ communications were excellent. The house is situated in a quiet area of the city with amazing views of Arthur’s seat from the lounge window. Very easy to get a 5 min cab ride to city centre or a 20 min walk. We were also greeted with lovely bottles of wine from the host which is a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend Magnus’ place as a great choice to stay in Edinburgh
