Family-friendly vacation rentals in Edinburgh Old Town

Lovely, spacious apartment in a great location, Jing was really helpful with all check in information. Very clean with great facilities, would definitely stay her again as it was very affordable and easily slept 8 people. Very quiet area with regular buses into town and bathrooms were great as well with good hot water and big shower.

A fantastic family stay at this wonderful barn conversion. We couldn’t have asked for more. The location is great,just a few miles outside the main town of Galashields (which has everything in it….and some great delivery services) The property was spacious and catered for our needs and our wheelchair user. The hot tub is the icing on the cake,peaceful and tranquil at any time of the day. We would love to return in the future.

If you're able to climb to this fourth floor apartment, it's definitely worth the effort! But please know that the ceilings are very high, so each flight includes 25 steps. But the place is absolutely lovely, with great architectural details, lovely furnishings, and newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen. Martin and Charul are very welcoming hosts who communicate effectively, and they were very accommodating of the baby we were traveling with. (Added benefit: there are lots of toys and books for little ones!) This was my first real Airbnb experience, and they set the bar very high.

Our recent stay at the Bus Stop was amazing! Gorgoeus surroundings, fantastic idea and beautiful accomodation. Very warm welcome, lots of ideas of things to do, but also lots of pesce and time to relax and just enjoy! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back again

Loved our time in Edinburgh. Accommodation is lovely. A more central location would be hard to find. A few pointers for future visitors… detailed instructions on how to use the jacuzzi and the sauna would be really helpful as we couldn’t use either despite getting information from Michelle. Info regarding recycling would also be useful. We were made very aware of the “no party” policy thanks to your emails, messages via Airbnb, the posters etc, however we had to put up with a lot of noise from the surrounding apartments and environs, which is a bit of an oxymoron. We would definitely return and would recommend especially if our points are addressed The only downside (if it is a downside) We were made very aware of the “no party”

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, and Sonia was lovey. The hot tub was a hit with our boys along with the board games. My youngest son loved the visits from the highland cows 🙂.

The cottage is lovely. Nice location and very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was great. We would go again.

Beautiful house, very clean and perfect for our stay. Enjoyed the hot tub and lots of space for a big group. Kitchen stocked well for a big group (lots of glasses, cooking utensils etc). Beautiful location, thank you :)

Everything about our stay was only made better by having such a great place to come back to - everywhere we turned you could tell this host thought of everything and everyone who could stay - we had no use of the plethora of items made available from pushchairs, travel cots, storage, games, books etc but it was clear you could just leave home and drop somewhere seamlessly - what a place to stay! Communication excellent, met in the property, loads of advice.

Roland has a lovely flat, within walking distance of everything. Lots of helpful recommendations, and Roland was very helpful. Even messaged us to prepare us for a bad storm. What a gent!

the stay was warm and cosy , enjoyed the morning walk around the property, I just loved the central heating which kept room warm when returning night.Felt as a good get away from busy life , only thing that put us off was the smell in the towel ( i doubt it could be the way it was washed or dried which made it smell awful, therefore I had to go to nearby Tesco to get a new bath towel) and the dust on top of the fire near the books , tried to take the book and noticed dust in nearby incentive sticks . apart from those two everything was on spot . may be if cleaning was done well the experience would have been 10/10. Anyway would like to return in future for a get away

Beautiful big flat in a great location in Leith, which we love. Lots of restaurants, pubs, bakeries and the park. Very close to the tram, which makes city centre and the airport very easy. Had everything we needed for a great stay thanks.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. 2 lady professionals traveling for work and this was a fabulous stop over. Quiet, super comfortable, safe and a lovely welcome hamper on arrival: Highly recommend. There is a lovely beach/woodland walk to stretch weary car travelled legs as well. Thanks Julie - hope to be back one day

Great location in walking distance of key areas of Edinburgh (such as new town, Old Town and Arthur's seat.) clean accommodation and responsive host.

We - a group of 7 friends - visited Edinburgh for 2 nights. This was the perfect place for us to stay. The location was particularly good, with a very simple tram journey to the city, and plenty of shops on the doorstep. The sleeping spaces were ideal - particularly as we all needed our own beds. The main living area would be a squeeze beyond 7 people. Axel was a sublime host, going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our weekend and explaining all the logistics in depth.

Great place to stay if visiting Edinburgh, close to city centre with easy access to public transport. If driving, plenty of parking with no issues. Ronnie’s place was lovely, a lot bigger than what the pictures show and has everything you need for your stay. Ronnie himself was very helpful and friendly, overall a great stay.

We had an enjoyable weekend break in the Lookout at Pitmilly. Excellent standard of accommodation and facilities and a wonderful setting, convenient for exploring the Fife coast. Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this apartment, very good location ten min walk from train station, easy access and met Audrey who went through everything with us. The apartment was very clean , there was milk, tea, coffee, bread , butter and marmalade which saved us going to the shop.

Well described and clean, comfortable caravan. Responsive hosts who communicated really well. Easy to find and to access. Thanks very much for having us.

Fantastic caravan with gated outdoor space brilliant for my two big dogs. At the quiet end of the park yet really close to the shop and entertainment. Caravan was really clean and had lovely little homely touches when we arrived. Peter and Georgie replied really quickly if we had questions too.

Dianne was a very friendly host and her place was a great value for money. Location was very convenient with a direct city bus line that took us from the place to the heart of Edinburgh in a single trip.
