Rachel and Dominic have fantastic places to stay at Moonacre, there are a variety of different options in a stunning location. Quirky and fun, these outdoor living spaces are a joy if you are looking for a peaceful retreat in the countryside or an adventure with your family. It’s not unusual to raise your head from your book or laptop to see a herd of deer peering at you from the fields or woods. This time I stayed in Monty the Motorhome, a converted motorhome, a very quiet and relaxing night. I will stay again when I get the opportunity.

Fantastic location with brilliant views over Exeter. Eco friendly campsite. Very quiet and tucked away on the hillside.

This is a wonderful and peaceful place. The caravan is spacious and full of games, books and general stuff to keep everyone entertained. Garden is just fabulous and the wildlife flourishes. This is a very child friendly place with lots of space for kids to run around and lots of things to do without having to leave the comfortable space…and you have chickens as your neighbours. Location is ideal for exploring nearby places & attractions and / or you can just walk to Longford which is a stunning place.

The place was absolutely stunning—beautiful, clean, and surrounded by fresh, clean air. The environment was so peaceful and well-maintained. The owner was a nice guy, but he had quite strict rules about everything. As long as you follow them, everything is fine. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I appreciated the well-kept space.

Jill’s Far Out Caravan Site was wild and wonderful. A perfect mixture of adventure and peace. The caravan was homely and well cared for. I recommend the walk to the beach through the most magical woodland. I great find - a few minutes drive from Blackgang Chine. The sea view from the caravan was stunning. What a picture to wake up to. Tranquil and private caravan site. Jill is super friendly and accommodating ✨✨🌸

The big hoot is a perfect place to stay if you're looking to get away. The garden is beautiful and so peaceful. Great to wake up to. My son really enjoyed the play barn. There's so much there to do for children and adults too! The caravan was lovely. Everything was very clean, cosy and comfortable. Everything was easy to find and Nigel and Maria were very welcoming and attentive. We would love to come back one day! We really enjoyed our stay ☺️

A wonderful little haven in a fabulously peaceful valley. Ideal place to get away from it all. Compact and cosy but with everything you need to relax. We had a lovely three nights escape, within really easy drive of Taunton. Great for my three year old as well as myself. I particularly enjoyed sitting out under the stars after little one was in bed. Amelia is a fantastic host and Penny is very welcoming and accommodating too. My daughter loved feeding the ducks, and seeing the goats and chickens. The trampoline was very popular too. We will definitely visit again as we have family in Taunton, and have found our home from home.

It was so much fun! We wanted to escape any New Year’s Eve fireworks, and from inside the trailer we could not see any other homes so it was very secluded. Phone reception and 5G coverage is surprisingly good for the location and toilet cabin is only 2m outside of gated garden. Bridget was kind enough to leave extra duvets and the heater warmed the place up very quickly. I wish I had brought binoculars as we stared at the stars for ages. Bridget’s communication was quick and detailed despite it being a last minute booking.

We had a lovely weekend staying in Nuthatch. Beautiful setting, so peaceful - both felt like we were actually able to relax! Did struggle to start the hot tub fire but we had someone come out to help us within an hour of messaging Laura - he was super friendly and helped us solve the problem. Lots of lovely extras included to make the weekend even more special. Just wish we were there for longer!

I booked this as a last minute surprise for my boyfriend, and when we arrived he said it was being in a fairy tale!! Stephen and Amanda came and greeted us and showed us the caravan, which is tucked at the bottom of their garden, it was so peaceful, watching the birds and squirrels. Everything was catered for and enjoyed relaxing by the fire til midnight listening to the owls. And the bed was so snuggley! Slept so well!! Highly recommend if you want a piece of nature and outdoor living with all your creature comforts! Many thanks, definitely will return. 😊

Could not recommend this Shepards hut enough! We stayed in late December, but the cold only made it more cosy. The outdoor shower and basin facilities were an authentic touch to the Shepards hut, the water was instantly warm and they added an outdoor living experience to the hut. The hut itself was beautiful and cosy, definitely one of the comfiest beds I have stayed in! The wood burner in there is enough to keep the hut warm all evening and night. We absolutely loved the visits from Dylan the cat, he was friendly and loved a nap by the fire which made the experience even more relaxing!

We had such a sweet stay on the school bus! It's exactly as it says in the listing. For a camper van type experience it is very comfortable and roomy and interesting to see how you can live exclusively off solar power. There are lots of sweet touches like little solar powered fairylights on the big oak tree beside the bus and a slide out of one of the exits. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. Our 5 year old daughter loved the trip .

Amazing place for holidays! My family and I had a great time! The caravan had everything we needed, was beautiful and comfy. Very clean which is something I really appreciate. Richard was very friendly and responsive at all times. I recommend this place 100% :).

I really enjoyed my stay, Chris was a superbe host and a generally lovely person. The caravan was immaculate and the bed was lovely and comfortable. There is a wonderful dog walk straight out the door and because the location is right at the end of a very small road it is so quiet and peaceful. i would definitely stay here again.
