Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Dorset

We had a lovely ciuple of days at Julias place. It was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Location was lovely, with just a short walk to the shops.

As soon as we booked, Aimee and Paul communicated which was nice. It is a super property in a wonderful location which I know well. I needed to find a property suitable to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday for the family. It housed our party of 4 adults and 6 children perfectly and was very homely. We all enjoyed the hot tub in the rear garden, and the children enjoyed the games room with play-station set up. The lounge area, with the lovely 10 seater dining table had ample space and never felt cramped. Everything was perfect for our stay. The decorated Xmas tree was a nice touch. We walked from Boscombe to Bournemouth along the promenade to find a wide selection of restaurants. My wife, awaiting a knee replacement operation, managed the walk with no problem in about 45 minutes with great views of the Isle of Purbeck. There is ample space for 3 cars on the steep driveway, or parking along the road outside. All in all, a perfect residence for our stay and celebration. Thank you.

Great stay at a great house. Plenty of space with everything needed for the family to spend 3 nights over Christmas - just had to bring the food and the drinks, though there also some goodies to welcome us. Tristan was a great host and would recommend!

Debbie and Ian’s place is literally as stated. Absolutely gorgeous. The comfiest of beds and the quietest of places. A wee home from home. Walking distance to the beach and we need to return as we didn’t visit Just what we needed for a long weekend away with our dog. Debbie and Ian both went the extra mile - nothing was too much trouble for them. We were able to charge our electric car there too using their EV charger which took any stress away of us looking for somewhere. There is so much to do in the area so we will definitely return!

We are four Aussie Queenslanders a long way from home braving an English winter. We have stayed in several different places now and Rubi’s townhouse was voted the best thus far. The rooms are all generous in size and tastefully furnished. The kitchen is to die for. Sadly we only had one night so we didn’t get to fire up the gorgeous stove. The place was comfortably warm and the car park was literally at the front door. We dined at the lovely pub across the road that Rubi recommended and had a lovely time. My only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay. We would recommend this lovely place to any future guests wishing to explore Bath.

We had a very comfortable stay at this Airbnb. A lovely layout and great furnishings. A TV in all the rooms was a bonus and a beautifully designed bathroom and kitchen. The location was exactly what we needed to visit family nearby. And being right near to Avon beach was fabulous. Jack was very responsive on messages and providing extra towels…we didn’t use the hot tub this time…but it was all set up ready. Thank and would definitely recommend.

The cottage is a delight to stay in as always. Really enjoyed being able to walk out and in a couple of short minutes be next to the sea. This time we stayed during winter which we learnt a few things from - from places being closed so less things to do BUT being cosy and snug in the cottage was a much needed respite at the end of a long year. The cottage is looking a bit more worn lately but we can only tell from having stayed here repeatedly. However the cottage still has all the mod cons you need, beds are beautifully comfortable and the pillows are sumptuous. And the light here is amazing, if you feel the dark winter blues, this cottage definitely lifts your spirits. :)

Honestly this is a hidden gem and is definitely hijabi friendly... We had our own private space, including hot tub and outdoor heated swimming pool. Keith sourced produce so that it was accessible, he helped us in getting appropriate taxi services.

We had a wonderful family pre Christmas get together weekend at park Dale Cottage. The house was in a beautiful spot and we found it spacious and well laid out for our extended family needs. Kate was welcoming and available if we had any questions. We really enjoyed walks into the local area and definitely needed our walking boots to go across the field into the woods which are beautiful and full of ponies! The kitchen area was well equipped, the beds comfy and it was perfect for young children with the lovely selection of toys and outside play area. We loved the big open plan space it was very social . Thank you Katie for the welcome hamper food bits. We really had a perfect weekend, thank you.

Great place to stay to unwind from the real world, the host goes above and beyond for us this is now our 4th time back and we are never dissapointed I’m definately going back again

We had a wonderful stay with all our family to celebrate a special birthday - we loved the house, all able to eat together around the table was wonderful, enjoying chatting and drinking in the beautiful lounge and the younger ones loved the hot tub and braver ones the swimming pool. Great position for all the lovely New Forest areas and walks

A beautiful place, perfect for our family stay with our kids and dog. Brilliant walks and so close to Maiden Castle yet a short drive to Dorchester. A lovely space, clean and comfortable with a welcoming host.

Jo met us on arrival and showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed and then left us to our own devices. She messaged with good clear instructions ahead of time and was friendly throughout. Having access to the pool was great and our son enjoyed having space to explore and the toys provided.

My family stayed at The Lodge as a luxurious break for my father and my adult children with heir partners and dogs. . The lodge was spacious , set in lovely grounds with the fabulous addition of a heated swimming pool which made our break such fun. The kitchen space was perfect for family meals with an excellent fitted out kitchen. One necessary feature of the property was a ground floor bedroom and a separate shower and toilet which made access for my father easy and comfortable. The whole house was very tastefully decorated and very clean. We all would love to go back next year my fathers health permitting. I cannot recommend The Lodge highly enough.

We had the most wonderful time staying here as a little stop en route to Cornwall. The apartment is beautiful and the location is picturesque. We loved the pool and the local pub serves delicious food.

Great little get away in a lovely village with a great pub!!! Katie was so helpful, and we were greeted by her, her husband and lovely dogs upon arrival. The accommodation is a great standard, really cosy and peaceful - would definitely stay again

Although I picked the wrong weekend away that coincided with Storm Darragh, the accomodation provided a great shelter. The location was great and we weren't far from the coast or the New Forest when we did venture out. Also close to the shops and takeaways which was very convenient. Will be returning in the summer

Lovely relaxing time at Steve’s apartment in Sandbanks. Really enjoyed the ease for the chain ferry over to Studland/ Swanage, bus stop for the bus tour around to Poole and Bournemouth. Steve was really proactive in communication and as well as a comprehensive guide for the apartment, provided a good list of local services and things to do in the local area. Recommended. Thanks.

The place was great. As soon as you walk through the door you realise that this is an oasis of calm. The kids loved the bunk beds and grandparents the master bedroom. Great part of the world and extremely convenient. :)

Another wonderful stay at the Laurels. Debbie and Colin are just super and very friendly hosts always making us feel welcome. Everything is always spotless and a nice fresh feel about the place. Everything anyone would need is supplied but Debbie and Colin are very approachable if you need anything. Nice dog walk 20 seconds from the gate, and we love The Angel Pub a few minutes walk away. A thoughtful welcome gift of Prosecco and Chocs is waiting when you arrive. We usually just book a few nights just to Chill with our Scottie and to unwind and recharge and have already booked for next year.

Utterly fantastic weekend for our family get away and celebrations - Fiona and Spencer couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Just a brilliant weekend which we’ll never forget. Best spot imaginable !
