Mayo Glamping - Fia na Foraoise

PaulRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Stephen surely has created a wonderful, little, dog friendly oasis, a quirky haven of creativity and fantasy...you can feel his love for the place at every corner...the accommodation was cosy and warm, the kitchen spacious, well-equipped and clean, the bathroom facilities top class:)..we even got a pizza baked in the hand built oven...our absolute highlight though was the wood fired hot tubs - stars, bubbles and all...and the cosy sauna....a wonderful experience! hopefully we get to meet stephen in person some time..i'd say he has some stories to tell:) aloha

A very charming spot with a friendly, helpful host. Cabin was plenty warm, pizza was delicious, and bathrooms/kitchen spotless and had everything you could need. We would love to come back and stay longer, and take advantage of the hot tub!

WesternWay Cabin : Sheefry Hills : Croagh Patrick

MarionRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The cabin was everything I hoped it would be. Quiet, close to nature and very relaxing. The wood burning stove added great atmosphere and I had a very restful nights sleep. Jess and Dara were very responsive hosts. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again.

Connemara/Westport Eco glamping pod No. 2

EimearRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We really enjoyed our brief time here. The pods were basic and very clean with great views in the surroundings. The bathrooms were spotless. The composting toilet was a tiny bit smelly as the fan was accidentally not turned on which could be easily resolved. Otherwise they were absolutely impeccable, the cleanest composting toilets I've seen. It is an Eco Glamping spot so facilities are basic and not overly manicured which I loved as contributes to the remote feeling and there are lots of nice details in the design which Michael has done himself. Michael was very kind and we had a cuppa tea and biscuits with him with some good local tips and chats about world travels. Overall fabulous place, much nicer than any hotel, beautiful views of the mountains and great hospitality too.

Ox Mountain Lodge

RoniRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I booked the place wanting to stay in the Ox Mountain area as my grandmother loved to glance at the Ox Mountain in north direction as she lived south of Moy River. It was first trip for my best friend, so it was spectacular place to be especially time of the year with all of these fresh snow and experience what it was like to live with turf fireplace. I am humbled by all of this experiences and beautiful surroundings. Dermot and Monica were thoughtful and friendly hosts. Their recommendations on places to visit and where to eat were spot on! You cannot beat the spa fees - affordable price! It is good for anyone who wants to be off the grid from phones/technology and be in tuned with the nature, animals and people.

The Golden Egg

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Jennifer and Danny are lovely! And their charming spot was just what I needed. A lovely, peaceful place where I could unwind and relax after galavanting around Ireland and learning to drive on the opposite side of the road on very dark, narrow Irish roads. The story of how they came to build The Golden Egg is also fascinating. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! And it's because of their guidebook that I ended up at Moore Hall, which was one of my favorite places on my trip. Highly, highly recommend their lovely spot!

The Lodge. One bedroom self catering in Westport

SineadRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Natalia and her partner were extremely welcoming and friendly. Our visit was a bit of a flying one, but they made it their business to introduce themselves and see if we needed any help. The loft itself was perfect for what we needed. Bed was very comfy & there was a nice outdoor space with a BBQ and self made bar too. Location is very good too only 4 min drive to Westport. Plenty of space to park.

Tina was friendly, responsive and really hospitable. she left us chocolates, Christmas cake, milk and butter which was a delicious treat. Her place is in a country setting, old Irish cottage with all the modern amenities, you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed country life and lovely fireplace, our dogs loved sleeping by fireplace. we look forward to coming back in spring or summer next year and enjoy more outdoors.

Hut An Creagan

CynthiaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Just the fact that the hut is located on the best county in Ireland, it’s already a big plus. County Mayo has so much to offer that you could easily spend a whole week. The mountain view as you wake up is really nice and peaceful, this is exactly the place to go when you are looking for some peace and some time on your own. Absolutely recommended.

Lavender Mews is brand new

PadraigRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Excellent location, two minutes walk to centre of town. Easy parking. Extremely user friendly experience. Very clear instructions from start to finish. Didn’t use kitchen as was only there for the night, but was very well laid out as was the rest of the place. The bathroom was perfect and the shower was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Overall couldn’t fault the place. It was pristine. A template to be followed by anyone looking to set up in the business.

Ceide Glamping Pod 6

MarinaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Spectacular place to stargaze at night, with Downpatrick Head right in front of you. Those views are unbeatable. Communication with Lianne was great, and she was very helpful and prompty answering us when we were arriving to the place and found we had to cross a slightly intimidating path very close to the sea, which gave us reassurance and confidence. The indoor barbecue and little oven were fantastic help for us to cook a delicious dinner after a very intense day driving through Mayo. The cabins are also very cozy and warm, having everything we needed for our stay. We were a group of for, and it was okay to sleep for one night but maybe if staying longer we would have had to book two separate pods as the sofa bed is very thin and not as comfy as the bed in the bedroom, and also for a bit more intimacy as to access the bathroom you have to get through the main room, but apart from that we loved every bit of our stay and we would be thrilled to come back for a longer stay!

glamping-THE NOOK - holidayintinyhouse

DanielRating, 5 stars42 months ago
Pat and Caroline are the most lovely welcoming hosts one could wish for. I only stayed one night in the cabin but got that reconnection with nature I was hoping for. The cabin itself is basic of course but I was spoiled with a glass of wine and the use of the bath in the main house which were greatly appreciated injections of luxury and relaxation. Thanks Pat and Caroline for the warm welcome!

Cuckoo Wood Hexagon, 5km from Westport

AnnetteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We absolutely loved Irma's little Hexagon. It felt very peaceful and very private (which is quite special considering all the windows!) Finding fresh bread, butter, jam and fruit as we arrived was just the icing on the cake. Irma gave us useful recommendations for walks and restaurants for the area and always made sure we had enough fuel for the fire. The bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The separate bathroom can also be heated (perfect in winter), only the water pressure in the shower is very limited - which didn't bother us though. Westport is a picturesque town with great restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars. Writing this review makes me want to go back right away.. thanks for the lovely stay! I'm hoping to come back soon.

Glamping and Alpaca Farm: Connemara Hut

AudreyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely magical little spot!!! I arrived on the later side of check in and the hosts were great!! I’ve been seeing this place during my yearly summer visits and it never had availability so I was excited to see it available during my winter visit. I was only there for a night but the hosts treated me like I’ve been there for ages. And the animals were absolutely fantastic!! And there’s trails and activities to partake in, on the property itself all with a beautiful view of Lough Corrib. Absolutely magnificent views and amenities and lovely hosts!
