Beachfront vacation rentals in County Mayo

What an amazing coastal retreat! Our family (dogs included) enjoyed a long weekend in this simple, modern property. Close drive to Louisburgh or Westport, beautiful beaches a short drive too. We will definitely be back!

The Sandybanks is the perfect house from which to enjoy everything Achill has to offer. I'm a regular visitor to Achill and this was my first time staying here. I will definitely be booking again. It was also so nice to be able to bring our small dog. The house has everything you need, and to be able to light a log fire in the evening was fantastic. A very memorable stay.

Lovely, unique stay in a cozy bell tent. We stayed warm even though it was chilly outside. Took a stroll on the Atlantic Ocean and watched the cows graze. Drove into Enniscrone for dinner. We only had one night, but glad we got there near check in to enjoy it.

Our 5 days at Richard's were exactly what we needed after a busy work trip in the city. His beautiful home with all of its sunshine was just as described. We stayed with our 2 kids, and my 12 yr old quickly claimed the gorgeous top bedroom. We hiked the Red Diamond, traveled to Kylemore Abbey, drove the sky road, and checked out everything Roundstone and Clifden had to offer during our stay. All with a super comfortable and spacious home to return to to relax. We even chose to just stay in one rainy day and read all the books on Ireland Richard had to offer. As U.S. Homeschoolers, this made my momma heart happy! The road to the cottage was not as treacherous as some reviewers stated, though drive it slowly because it is narrow and twisty! The home has everything as described plus more, and was close enough to 3 grocery stores for supplies. the beds were great. The house was warm and inviting. I look forward to returning to do all the things we didn't get to do in Connemara!

A most delightful small cottage in a most scenic setting only two minutes walk from a most beautiful 2km sandy beach. Whilst off the beaten track and away from the rest of civilisation it was a perfect retreat. The cottage had everything you could need, and with its central heating and log burner, it was warm and cosy, and we found it as close to perfection as was possible.

After an October week in a very old stone cottage, Ciara's warm, dry, modern accommodations were a welcome treat. Gorgeous water and mountain views were just a stroll away, with horses, donkeys, and sheep rolling over the hills, and dogs running along the neighboring yards. Decor included botanical and wildlife illustrations with short but informative descriptions of the native flora and fauna. A small wood stove was pre-loaded with a starter log, which came in handy when a gale force 9 storm decided to pay us a visit. Fresh local milk in the fridge, fast internet, a powerful, warm shower, and a nice, private fenced yard elevated this homey little spot from comfortable to pampered. I only wish we hadn't had to leave so early after our one night stopover. Extra credit is due for allowing us an early check in so my fiancé didn't have to leave her wedding dress in the car during her nail appointment. 10/10

Absolutely beautiful place and beautiful scenery. Just a short walk to beach and the Beach Bar which served great food.

We were in Westport for a family wedding and stayed in Mary's house with our adult children. The house worked out perfectly and Mary could not have been more helpful with clear communications and her local recommendations on restaurants, pubs and things to do while in the area. Thank you, Mary!

We couldn't have hoped for a better place to spend our time in Achill, than Noel's house! The house is lovely: spacious, clean, well-located, special views of the sea, and with attention to the smallest details in its design. Our only regret was having to leave at the end of the week!

We loved staying here and Bernie is a super host. The location is super and safe. Easy access to lovely beach. Even the dogs were sad leaving! Thank you.

A beautiful place to stay. House was clean and had everything you could need. Lovely views from the house of the beach. Not far from a great night out in Westport. Ideal location with plenty to do. Great host provided plenty of information on things to do around.

The place was absolutely beautiful, although it is a shared property, it felt extremely private and we never even ran into the other residents. Elaine/Kenneth are extremely thoughtful; they had the house so clean and tidy and even put a Happy Birthday cake in the fridge for us before our arrival as we had specified it was a Birthday trip away. Achill is an absolutely beautiful place and is only 15 minutes away from the property by car (the furthest part of the island being approx. 50 minutes away). Thank you so much for our stay and the many memories from such a beautiful place in the world. We hope to be back in coming years.

We had a wonderful stay on Claggan Island, the location is stunning and the house very comfortable and full of character with beautiful views. Laurence and his family made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed exploring the local area - many lovely beaches and coastal walks - and just spending some peaceful time on the island.

From the initial booking process through to check out Maria was responsive and helpful. The house was way beyond our expectations and the little touches like shower gel and shampoo was lovely. We will definitely be back to visit again!

We stayed in Barney’s fantastic property over the Bank Holiday weekend with 6 other couples, whilst attending a wedding and had a fantastic stay. Each bedroom is generous in size, very clean and it was a huge bonus that each room also had an ensuite. The kitchen area is really big and has everything you need to cook during your stay, with a large dining table and a cosy area to sit and watch some tv. The location was perfect and the view out the front of the house of Clewbay was stunning on a dry, clear day. Perfect for a large group and if we are ever back in Westport with friends, we know where we will be booking to stay. Thanks Barney!

Clodagh had everything prepared. The house was beautiful and the decor of the house was beautiful and very cosy. The views of the house were impeccable, and all the rooms were comfortable. They did everything to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Would highly recommend.

What an absolutely amazing house, loads of space and very family / children friendly. The views are breathtaking, plus the added enjoyment of sheep, goats, alpacas, donkies and chickens to keep young children entertained. The hosts were excellent and very accommodating, my only criticism (all be it very minor) the pots/pans/utensils require to be replaced, and there isn't a teapot.. but everything else was impeccable! Would definitely stay again, and looking at dates for 2025 already!!
