Adorable cabin in the countryside

Bluebird Cottage is a quaint little haven 8km from Westport town. Its off the beaten track a little, and if you like that sort of thing and the only sounds will be mother nature's animals and birds calling out to each other in the surrounding countryside. It's a 10min drive to Westport, 1 hour to Knock Airport, Achill, Galway city and Connemara with an abundance of activates / shopping / dining on the doorstep. So we are very centrally located in the West. Peace and Tranquillity Ahoy!

Set in an enclosed courtyard with views of the country side, beautiful stone faced apartment is 2k from Westport and adjacent to the Great Western Greenway. Close to all amenities incl, Westport House, golf, fishing, sailing, Blue Flag beaches etc. The apartment is located adjacent to our own house so it is really safe. We have a very friendly cat called Maisy. Westport is voted The Best Place To live in Ireland and we love our town with its great atmosphere.

Wonderfully peaceful spot in a delightfully traditional yet modernised cottage. It felt like such a retreat from the world for a few days - we were lucky enough for lovely weather but it would also be cosy when rainy. Great location just out of Clifden town and accessible to all the main spots around Connemara. We'll definitely be back!

Knights cottage is a beautiful original cottage which has been updated to a high standard with everything you would need for a comfortable stay, including utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer,well equipped kitchen and large bedrooms. Very homely, warm with beautiful views of Lough Mask, within a few minutes walk away. We stayed as a family of 5 for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thankyou Maura for being so accommodating and welcoming.

I had a fab stay in a yurt at Nicki’s magical place. It absolutely chucked it down and the terrain to and from the yurt was challenging on foot as a result - but Nicki has done a lot to try to mitigate that. If you’re someone who doesn’t have mucky boots or can’t stand a bug or two this isn’t for you - but if you want to get off grid and unwind in a unique and private setting then it’s perfect! We had a lovely spontaneous adventure and can’t wait to come back!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The house was super stylish, cosy, and had everything we needed. The farm was a real highlight, we felt like big kids again hanging out with the animals. The goats were especially cute, and the llamas and other animals made it such a fun experience. Edel and her husband were amazing hosts, super friendly, easy to communicate with, and very welcoming. They even left us a lovely grocery pack to get started, which was such a thoughtful touch. Good location in County Mayo, and Connemara is also not too far - easy to explore both areas. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again one day.

She thoughtfully provided a delightful basket filled with treats like juice, cookies, and crisps, complementing the essentials already stocked in the fridge. These thoughtful touches made our stay feel truly special. The peaceful ambiance of the property allowed us to unwind and create unforgettable memories with our family. We highly recommend this haven to anyone seeking a serene escape. Caroline deserves a well-deserved 5 stars for her hospitality and attention to detail. We can't wait to return!

The accommodation was clean, tidy, presentable and very comfortable, it came with all the necessities. Catherine was a lovely host and she welcomed us with her home made scones which were delicious. Catherine is very friendly and helpful. We loved her hospitality. The house is private and comes with a beautiful surroundings with beautiful animals all around. We will definitely revisit. I've stayed in over 100 Airbnbs and this is by far the best. 14 of us , a mixture of adults and children stayed here over Easter. everything was amazing. once you walk in the view us breath taking. The home has evey amenity you could think of. large open space kitchen with high end everything. the underground heating is a great a touch and the house is always warm. this place is made for kids. they have a toy room which kept all of the kids entertained all weekend. perfect for a family get away. room were all clean great big size and extremely comfortable beds. most of all the hosting was the best I've received. the owners could not do anymore for us. even allowed us to stay an extra night for free as they had no booking the next day. lovely people. I really can't recommend this home enough. I for one will be a frequent visitor and I really look forward to staying again. thanks for the fantastic stay

Absolutely gorgeous house and grounds, like something from a postcard. Everything you could need was in the house. House is bright and spotlessly clean. Great location. Handy adventure centre in the hotel a five minute walk from the house. Margaret is a fantastic host who made sure we had a great trip. Thank you Margaret. The Mancunian girls will come again!
