Vacation rentals with breakfast in County Mayo

Our stay with Dennis and Mairead was a dream. We were warmly welcomed into their home. The room is very cosy and the charming house so peaceful, we slept soundly and woke up to the cuckoo calling. In the morning, Dennis prepared a lovely breakfast and gave us plenty of tips for things to see and do. We wished we could have stayed longer, as there are so many more beaches and walks close by to explore.

Mary and her husband are really lovely people. They were so welcoming, kind and respectful. Their airbnb was exactly what I wanted (clean, everything was so easy in terms of the check in and out, the bed and pillow were lovely and comfortable, the shower was great, the room was nice and spacious). The location is beautiful too. I can definitely see why they have all 5 star reviews (and I'll be leaving them one too). I would love to stay with them the next time I'm up in Mayo.

Perfect for a solo traveller who wants something better than a hostel. Ruth quickly shows you around the house and then you can go to your private room if you want to - or stay and chat with Ruth, and she'll give you tips of the surrounding area - such a lovely irish lady. Highly recommended!

Margaret and Eamon went completely above and beyond anyone's wildest expectations - from a tea / coffee greeting to an absolutely delicious breakfast and a bed that is incredibly comfortable. Even getting up extra early to say goodbye and feed me again! - couldn't recommend highly enough.

What can I say, we were made feeling so welcome, it felt like coming to a friend you haven’t seen for a while. We had a comfy and quiet room with a bathroom of our own where we slept well. Some of us were more than happy to play darts and billiards. That was so great. We had eggs boiled and coffee cooked in the morning and there was so much other food like cereals, toast, bread, butter, jam, … Denise and Nikolas always were there for tips of where to go, what to do, if you want some tips. Both are extremely nice.

The amazing view of the ocean in one direction and of Achill Island’s hills and grazing sheep in the other made for a particularly memorable stay at Mary’s place. The studio is spacious and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches and we loved all the healthy breakfast choices Mary left us too. Even though we entered the studio thru the main house, we always felt a sense of privacy and comfort during our entire stay. Mary and her husband are wonderful hosts and their studio provided us with a comfy home base from which to explore all that Achill Island has to offer.

Our first time using Airbnb and Diarmúid has certainly set the bar high. The house is beautiful with everything to make you feel at home, responses to questions extremely quick and Diarmúid went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. Would 100% recommend A*** Thankyou Diarmúid for being an exceptional host.

Evleen’s place was perfect. She gave very clear directions on how to find the location prior to arriving. She also made me and my partner feel right at home as well. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Beautiful location that’s very walkable to the city. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Westport.

Absolutely fantastic apartment. Mark was a brilliant host with great communication from start to finish. The apartment is in a private complex and absolutely perfect. All the essentials were provided which was great and everywhere was lovely and clean. Huge balcony area with lovely views. Bonus for us was that it was pet friendly too. Private secure parking and you are so close to plenty of shops, restaurants and take aways. Aldi and Tesco nearby too. Highly recommend! Thanks for a great stay.

Catherine’s place was very cute, clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Snacks, breakfast, juice were provided along with all bathroom necessities. Gorgeous view from the unit and close enough to seafront where there are plenty places to eat or drink, you can walk in 10 mins or else it is a 2 min drive.

We had a lovely stay at Mairead’s apartment. The accommodation was more spacious than expected from the pictures. Perfectly clean and comfortable. We are very familiar with this area and would recommend this lovely quiet spot as a great base for enjoying Westport and surrounds and also exploring the rest of Mayo and North Galway.

We just spent a week here in Strandhill as a family of 3plus our dog. The house was as described everything provided and spotlessly clean. we will definitely be back as host Patricia and Catherine were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this house for a stay in Strandhill, only a short walk to the beach front, shops and restaurant everything at your finger tips. Thank you so much for a lovely Easter break we will be back soon 😊

Really enjoyed our stay with Sharon as we were up surfing in Easkey for a few days! Unbelievably welcoming and friendly family and I couldn't say enough nice things about them and their accommodation! It would be the first place i would consider booking if I am staying up around that direction in the future! Thanks again Sharon!

We stayed for three nights at Maura’s beautiful home whilst visiting family. The location was convenient to Ballina. The accommodation was very homely and we enjoyed the views of the Lough. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to go! Maura is the perfect host and we hope to be back again soon.

Eileen and Desmond’s place is centrally located to the town and easily walkable. We were there for St Patrick’s Day and a really great experience! Desmond welcomed us with warmth and showed us around the place. He offered any assistance we might need. The breakfasts are fantastic and quite filling. Barbara, their helper, was fun and full of good information. We checked out earlier and Desmond had our breakfast ready for us before we departed. He took time to show us more of the family photos and made our stay over the top. 10 stars Desmond!

Our stay with Noreen was only one night and my father and I were almost sorry to continue our trip. She has a lovely space available to guests, both bedroom and a kind of living room, where she even served breakfast. After a great walk from the letterkeen trailhead, this was wonderfully relaxed and welcoming with the sweetest hostess.

The place is so cozy and lovely! It truly felt like an enchanted getaway. Steve is very friendly and made sure we felt right at home. One morning he offered us a suggestion for a beautiful route to take to our destination for the day. Wonderful host and place! Hope to visit again
