Pelican's Rest is the perfect place to unwind from the daily commotion of popular tourist areas and yet is accessible to tourist activities and grocery stores within a short drive. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. There are nature trails and lots of preserved areas to explore nearby. It is a calm and beautiful area that is not a far drive from the ocean beaches and a ferry to the National Seashore at Cape Lookout. The Maritime Museum in Beaufort is a nice way to spend a day learning about the history of the area. We took a boat tour with Miriam's Science by the Sea in Beaufort and learned a wealth of information about the ecology of the area. It is a very relaxing place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area.

The place was super cute, clean and very peaceful. The view was beautiful. I enjoyed my coffee on the porch every morning. Our host was friendly, greeting us with a bottle of wine and explaining anything we may needed to know to make our stay pleasant. The only negative to our stay was the bed was a little too firm for my back. If your looking a quite get away this is it. It a nice ride to restaurants and grocery stores so be prepared. But we love the remoteness of our stay. We will return again soon. Thanks

Been to Oriental several times, stayed at various places. Found Link Lane and have stayed here each time we come down to visit. Great place! Close to everything. Would not stay anywhere else.
