Family friendly & great location

AnthonyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a true home away from home! From the moment we arrived until our departure, my family and I felt at home. The only difference between our own home and this one was the address. The location was even better, nestled in a peaceful neighborhood where the residents welcomed and treated us as neighbors. The interior of the home was impeccable, with everything in its place. I would highly recommend this location to anyone seeking a home away from home.

Historic Swansboro Studio w/ Intracoastal View!

KarenRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Perfect location for attending the yearly Mullet Festival, except the parking; had to park our vehicle in another area to be able to come and go when we wanted too, during our 4days stay. Would have been better if there was a cook stove, but we managed. We brought an electric skillet. On a good note, nice hot showers and a very cozy comfy bed!

Pura Vida : Best of Topsail

BraeyahRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Brian and Liz were awesome hosts. They were extremely responsive and the house was perfect for our family. The location is great as it’s off the path of the main road so it was quite peaceful with some peek a boo views of the intercoastal waterway. The decor was cute as it wasn’t overly beachy, but just the right amount. The couch/sectional was so comfy and the beds offered a good night’s sleep. Highly recommend.

The North Seas

IanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed in Brian’s place at Wrightsville Beach the weekend after Christmas to visit with family. His house was extremely spacious and easily fit 11 of us. It was a quick walk to the beach and very convenient to many places. We had one small hiccup during our stay that was not their fault but they quickly made things right. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice beach house with views from deck overlooking the intercostal water way. Only a couple blocks from beach and very close to all the restaurants. Hot tub was a big plus since it was during cold months. Very clean and nice decor and furniture. Definitely recommend this rental!!

The Great Escape - A Waterfront Retreat

SusieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed with six adults and one 18 month old toddler. The house has four levels, including the basement. The house had basically everything you would need from baby gates, kids silverware, highchair, absolutely everything that we could have needed was provided. Each bedroom had its own private bathroom, which was tremendously nice when trying to get ready to go out. We went for walks every morning, it’s was just over half a mile to walk down to some stores to do a little shopping. Everything went smooth and perfect while we were there. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us..

P&J's Cottage Unit P - Relax on the Waterway

AdrienneRating, 5 stars5 months ago
This was our second stay, and we loved it just as much as we did our first. The house is so cozy, and the neighborhood is peaceful. The kitchen has all the essentials needed to cook and serve meals. The dishwasher, washer and dryer are so handy to have. We enjoyed fishing, sitting on the swing, and taking in the beautiful scenery. We would definitely stay again and again.

Your guide to North Topsail Beach

Welcome to North Topsail Beach

The southern tip of North Carolina is flanked by the lovely port city of Wilmington and miles of pristine, sandy coastline. Like the Outer Banks on the northern end of the state, Topsail Island is a barrier island that stretches 26 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. It is home to three seaside towns: North Topsail Beach, Surf City, and Topsail Beach. The northernmost community, North Topsail Beach, provides that toes-in-the-sand, small-town vibe you might crave from a beach vacation, far from chain restaurants and crowded bars — but with plenty of beach houses large enough to accommodate your entire family or group of friends. Aside from being a hotbed for water sports like surfing and paddleboarding, North Topsail Beach is also widely known for its conservation efforts, including preserving the many loggerhead turtle nesting sites.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in North Topsail Beach

Though North Topsail Beach is rarely crowded, you’ll get the best weather in spring (March through May) or fall (September through November). The summer months are pleasant, but certainly more crowded than the rest of the year. The Atlantic’s hurricane season can start in June and run through November, so you’ll want to monitor weather conditions before and during your stay; in recent years, the most serious storms have hit in August and September. Both the water and air temperatures are often warm enough to enjoy the beach and its water sports through late October. October also brings with it Wilmington’s annual Riverfest.

Top things to do in North Topsail Beach

Lea-Hutaff Island

Spanning 5,641 acres, nearby Lea-Hutaff Island is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The untouched creeks double as nursery areas for fish, shrimp, and crab. Birders, in particular, will love to dust off their binoculars to bring to the state’s last remaining uninhabited barrier islands, where they can spy on thousands of feathered friends who claim these skies as their playground.

Salty Turtle Brewery

North Carolina is home to the largest craft beer industry in the South. Salty Turtle Brewery in Surf City was the first brewery to open in Pender County. If you’re into full-bodied, hop-forward beers, you’ll love what this veteran-owned brewery serves in its pet-friendly beer garden and taproom.

The Battleship North Carolina

Wilmington is a town with a rich military history, and it’s also the final resting place of the USS North Carolina. During World War II, this battleship was considered the world’s greatest sea weapon, participating in every major naval offensive in the Pacific. Take a self-guided tour of this vessel, which has been at its current berth since 1961.
