House vacation rentals in Amherst County

We had a great time and loved the house. It was a perfect trip! Only a few minor issues getting in the front door and turning on one of the air conditioners. Hallin & Co responded immediately, came to the property to address and handle the issues. The house was extremely accommodating to our group and we will definitely plan to rent again.

It was beautiful and peaceful. The house was clean and spacious and if he had any questions or needed help with something she was very responsive. It was a healing trip for our family and exactly what we needed. We hope we can return next year!

What a unique place! It served its purpose well. We felt safe & comfortable during our stay and have no complaints at all.

House has amazing views, comfortable sleeping arrangements and close to breweries and wineries. Also close to Wintergreen. My children loved the ping pong table, adults loved the hot tub. Would stay there again.

Karen was very pleasant & quick to respond. We rented her home for our son’s wedding. She gave great recommendations & took care of a problem right upon arrival. The home was beautiful, we had plenty of space for our family & loved being able to bring our dog. The master bath floor & tub wasn’t the cleanest, I don’t blame that at all on the host, I’m sure it can be hard with cleaners managing a property. And the steps going upstairs weren’t swept. I didn’t want to bother her again, as she had already taken care of a problem for us earlier, so we just went with it, it wasn’t unbearable. Beds were comfy. Towels were nice, washcloths may need a little updating, but overall, it was what we needed & served its purpose.

The house is very spacious and the game area is great for both adults and children. We had a great time with my family there, thank you for everything!

I was in the area because I was building a home nearby and this place was perfect. Very comfortable bed and the basic necessities. Even had a rooster to great me when I left in the morning. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

Rebecca was an outstanding host. An amazing person and a pleasure to be around. The property and house were exactly what we were looking for during our weekend of history. The horses are amazing to be around and the property is so peaceful. It’s a different feel there. The house was beautiful. Highly recommend

We rented the Tree Lodge in Lynchburg, VA for three adults over Easter weekend. It was just what we were looking for in a clean and quiet home near Liberty Univ. where we could prepare our own holiday meal and have a relaxing time. Beds were comfortable, neighborhood was quiet, bathrooms were spacious, and the entire house was clean and well-maintained. The owner, Glenn, was quick to respond to messages and was so kind and helpful from check-in to check-out. Should we return to the area in the future, we would not hesitate to stay at the Tree Lodge again!

Our 2nd time staying at this location. Great place to stay while visiting college kids! House very clean- Abigail is excellent at communicating- very responsive!! Will reserve again, if available!

Great little place with comfortable beds. Just as depicted and described. A wonderful value for our quick trip to Lynchburg.

I was recently in town because relative was in the hospital at Virginia Baptist. This place was about a mile from the hospital and close to everything else I might need. I also chose it because it had a washer and dryer so I could pack light and wash clothes when needed. The parking is marked for guests and was a little difficult to get in and out..I drive a minivan and was able to park fine. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the price was far better than I expected!

This is the second time we have stayed here with a small group of staff accommodating us while we attended a local expo as vendors. We like the separate spaces. It provided for everyone's needs in the way of sleeping, bathroom, laundry and kitchen. It is close to shops and restaurants. We will stay again if we get the opportunity. The host is great!

This is a beautiful, spacious home. It has three nice living room areas with TV's, wonderful showers & lots of fluffy towels, comfy beds. big kitchen, and it's in a nice neighborhood. It was perfect for our family of six. There's a tenant living in the separate, upstairs apartment, but you wouldn't know they were there.

Definitely a wonderful location, quiet and peaceful, with so much character and history. Not for everyone with the long driveway- but for our family it was perfect. Sitting by the river is wonderful- saw deer and eagles and osprey. Great hosts.

The home is spacious and very comfortable. A cooks kitchen. Close enough to downtown to walk. The wrap around porch would be great in the warmer weather. Mike gave great instructions. A very nice airbnb experience. It’s an old home with great high ceilings. It was plenty warm and cozy during the winter.

We tremendously enjoyed our weekend getaway! We could not have asked for anything more! Karyl & Matthew provided great suggestions when I inquired about local spots (one of the recommendations ended up being the highlight of our trip!) Easy check-in. Super clean. But most importantly, the location is everything!!! Super private, yet 5 minutes away from some cool history & restaurants! Would definitely book again if I had the opportunity!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Chris's ! The place was clean, cozy, and truly felt like a home away from home. Even though we had a lot going on during our trip, it was such a comfort to know we had a peaceful space to come back to and unwind. It made all the difference in our weekend. We’d absolutely love to stay here again!
