Vacation rentals with lake access in West Virginia

If you are looking for a nice get away this is where you should stay. Everything was clean, it was very peaceful with beautiful scenery. The beds were so comfortable felt like I was sleeping at home. The kitchen was packed with every utensil that you need for cooking. Me and my girl friend loved our weekend at their place. Definitely would stay here again!

It was a peaceful family get away. The house is well stocked with necessities. The animals were an adorable touch. I enjoyed feeding them more than the kids did. The trails are more for able bodied people. My clumsy 2 year old was not able to get very far. My kids and dogs loved playing in the mini beach. The cave hot tub unique but we were not able to use it. The peoperty itself is gorgeous. I would love to come back.

This house was even better than the pictures and description. It’s perfect for families especially with all the amenities for young children.

Home was clean and as described. It was large and roomy. Outside had a nice yard to play in. Harper’s Ferry town and the national historic park are amazing places to visit. Lots to do and see even in March. I would visit again and stay at this home again.

We had a wonderful stay here. It was refreshing to take a break from work and immerse ourselves in nature, surrounded by such beautiful scenery. The house was in great condition—clean, well-maintained, and fully functional. We especially enjoyed kayaking at Morgan’s property and found the whole experience to be incredibly peaceful. Harper’s Ferry is a charming town with plenty to explore over a weekend.

The house was absolutely perfect! it's a beautiful place with beautiful views. The layout was great for our big group of people and everything was so clean and comfortable. Check in was easy, host was very responsive through messages and information was clear and easy to follow. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. My whole group was really impressed. thanks

This was one of the nicest Airbandbs we’ve stayed at. It was very clean, fully stocked kitchen, and even a basket of toys for kids. We will definitely be back.

Jacqueline and Nate were more than accommodating during our spring getaway. We encountered a flat tire traversing the WV mountains and needed to stay another night to have it fixed. Jacqueline was quick to respond and was able to grant us another night, which maybe we just truly needed :) would recommend place to any families with small children. Absolutely beautiful !

Like my dad always says “location, location, location. Cute condo right on the slopes with easy ski in/ski out access to the locker room to store your gear. The condo has everything you need for your trip. It’s a nice room with a little kitchen, nice size bathroom and a great view of the slopes. I will definitely stay there again next year.

Had a blast staying in Erin’s condo. The unit is very cozy and clean, in a prime location. She was very cooperative and gave great instruction for accessing/parking. Highly recommend to anyone visiting snowshoe.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Unit was exactly as pictured/described. Comfy beds, plenty of hot water, well stocked kitchen with good quality pots, pans, etc. Great amenities and nice touches like stocked coffee, creamer and popcorn. Owners were very responsive and flexible. Thank you!

It’s an excellent unit, for me it’s maybe a once in a life time experience shipping-container made into a getaway and it’s really nice . Would love to come back .

Our family enjoyed our stay the Mountain Mama property. Communication was great from booking through checkout. The house was big enough for our family of 7 to spread out nicely. There were plenty of books and games to entertain our kiddos. Enjoying the fireplace while watching a family movie was perfect for a cold weekend.

This cabin was just what we needed for a peaceful getaway! It was exactly as described in the listing, except you couldn’t fish this time of year because the lake is closed, which ended up being fine. It’s a beautiful cabin when you don’t want to “people”!

This is the second time our family has stayed at this beautiful home. We enjoy the peacefulness and view of the lake. All the furnishings are comfortable too.

This place was just what I needed for the weekend. It was a beautiful and relaxing getaway and Kimberly is a great host! She even accommodated our last minute late checkout which was very nice of her. The wine and snacks that were there upon arrival was a nice surprise too.

Bryan's house was such a gem of a find. We went with four adults, three children and a dog and the house was *perfect*. I actually found that the photos didn't do justice to the view: both the lake and the mountain all in one view. We spent the days hiking Blackwater Falls and coming back to fish the lake (caught multiple largemouth bass and bluegill). The kids had a ball, and the adults loved warming up each night on the lower level with the gas fireplace. Truly a 10 out of 10 experience.

This is a lovely house! Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Super cozy living area. The only thing I missed in the kitchen was a dishwasher. Also, do yourself a favor and don’t park at the bottom of the drive to be close to house without assessing first whether you can get back up the driveway. I’ve never seen such a thoughtfully stock rental. My kids enjoyed playing down by the creek. There’s one restaurant nearby - maybe 15 minute drive- that came in handy!

We had a peaceful and renovating time!! Wish it was longer. Great family space for games and hanging out. Loved how easy it was to walk to the river. We even got to see a river otter! And lots of ducks, frogs, and other wildlife. Bring your river floats to chill in the river! Can’t wait to go back.

I can honestly say our host was the best we have ever experienced at Mountain Mama! He was beyond helpful and always reached out during our entire stay to see if we needed anything at all. He even allowed us to add an extra evening because we loved it so much we wanted to extend our trip! The cabin and surroundings are beautiful and so serene. We had more than enough room for our guests and the home had everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend Mountain Mama for your next trip, you won’t be disappointed!
