I have so many great things to say, so to keep it short I'll bullet point. - Great location/community - Private - Friendly and responsive hosts - Clear instructions and tour - Clean and comfortable - Felt very welcomed - Also a bonus of a cat that sounds like a sheep :) Planning to go again, later this year. Would highly recommend

We had a gorgeous stay at the shepherds hut. Fiona greeted us on arrival, was very friendly and helpful showing us how to use the hot tub. The hut itself is lovely and perfect for a cozy retreat. We had such a relaxed time and are already looking forward to returning. Thank you so much Fiona for your kindness and our beautiful stay!

Last minute Valentine get away with our two dogs. Despite pretty grim weather, you couldn't have wished to be anywhere cosier. Surprisingly spacious and everything you could think of, provided for a weekend away. Basic breakfast foods provided and of course Juliet's famous delicious short bread and doggie welcome treats.Private garden space adjoining a wood and secure field. Dogs roamed and played freely and safety. Bring lots of dog towels if you expect rain. Lovely shower in the cabin. Very well designed compost in a separate cabin. We kept close for dog exercise but there seems plenty of options for walking.. especially to pub...It's between 40 to 50 minute walk away. So many birds. We had such a lovely stay in the Shepherd's hut! so peaceful! The outside bath was a real treat as well as the yummy fruitcake waiting for us when we arrived. Bed was super comfy. We were sad to leave. Thank you Be and Richard.

We had a great stay, was relaxing and a great location for walks, sightseeing etc. Mandy and Andy both very friendly and helpful. Would recommend booking ahead for any local pubs/restaurants as they are few and far between within a 10-20 min drive and busy at weekends/peak times, also bring a 12v charger for charging within the hut otherwise there are 3 point plugs 100m across the yard which can be used.

Thankfully we bumped into Sally’s neighbour who walked us to the site. ( we ended up becoming friends with them!) The accommodation wasn’t very clean, but it was well stacked with everything we needed and more. Beds and pillows were terrifically comfortable. Bath was heaven, evenings and mornings were paradise. Loved eating al fresco and the site contained everything to make us relax. A special thanks for bread, REAL coffee! Eggs, butter and milk! We loved it and would love to return. Just more attention required to housekeeping!

Wow! I cannot rave enough about this place. Me and my partner had an amazing weekend. The check in was super simple. Gill’s communication was wonderful and she was ever so sweet. We felt left to it which was wonderful and sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars was such a highlight! The hut was lovely and warm and the bed was so comfortable! Definitely one I would go to again ❤️

I hired the Shepherds hut as an extra bedroom as I live nearby and had lots of family staying for our Golden Wedding . My son and his partner enjoyed their stay and loved the hot tub. We will definitely hire it again in similar circumstances.

A great place to stay and explore Dartmoor. The views from the hut are amazing and the hut itself is a fun experience. Simon is a delightful host and always quick to help out - Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Second visit this year💗 This place well and truly has my heart. I’ve never been anywhere in my life that I have felt so peaceful then this place (and I have travelled to so many beautiful countries). Dreamview Shepherd Hut are absolutely breathtaking, I could not recommend them enough. If your contemplating booking, don’t think just book it you won’t be disappointed. Melanie has thought of every little detail you could possibly need. I love this place so much, from sitting in the hot tub watching the stars to laying in bed with the cosy fire lit. I don’t ever want to leave this place. Please keep these huts forever!💗 Thank you so much Melanie and family - you have truly out done yourselves with this venue. And please keep this place forever 💗 P.s - would recommend Culm Valley Inn for food (about 8 minutes from venue)

We spent a fabulous two nights at "Lucy ". The hot tub was great, we were lucky to have one clear night to star gaze. The area is fantastic with the York Inn a short walk away with lovely food. the hut had everything we needed, super cosy . We nearly finished the jigsaw!

We had a lovely couple of nights in Herdwick hut at Laverstock farm. The farm is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around it seeing the animals, particularly the pygmy goats, and even had a couple of games of table tennis in the games room. The area around the hut is very private and peaceful, although you could hear some chatter from the cottages above at times. The hut itself is really pretty and cosy and we loved being greeted by the cows in the adjacent field. The separate kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, with the added bonus of marshmallows left by the host! One thing to mention is that the shared washroom is a walk away, up by the cottages, but it was clean and offered products and towels. A relaxing and lovely stay.

Our stay at Nicola’s shepherd's hut was absolutely delightful. The location is idyllic, offering a serene escape where you can fully relax and immerse yourself in nature. The hut was incredibly clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy and comfortable retreat. Nick and her mum were both amazing hosts, ensuring that everything was perfect for our stay. Their hospitality truly made the experience special. I highly recommend this charming shepherd's hut for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful getaway.

Had an amazing time at Rosa and Marks Shepherds hut. They were amazing hosts and so welcoming and lovely and their dog Daisy was very friendly and got on well with ours. The Shepherds hut is fully kitted out and was everything we wanted. We couldnt have asked for a more magical stay and one we wont forget ! Cant wait to come back and stay again!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. We had a small issue when we arrived but this was sorted out really quickly. The relaxing break we really needed at the end of a busy term

We had a great stay. Clear check in instructions were provided prior to our stay. The Hut matched the photos exactly, was very clean and cosy inside and is in a very peaceful and private location. I was also very pleased with the price we paid for our stay and the fact we were able to book a 1 night stay which is something not offered very often on air b n b. Would definitely recommend this place for a private peaceful get away.

We had a wonderful long weekend at this charming hut in Somerset. It was the perfect cosy escape, made even more magical by the peaceful river stream and the friendly ducks that wandered by. The hot tub was fantastic, offering breathtaking views that made our evenings unforgettable. Clive and Nikki were incredible hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay special. They were so accommodating to our requests, and getting to help feed their adorable goats was such a unique and memorable experience. Their local guide was fantastic—easy to navigate, with great suggestions for walks and local pubs. We followed their recommendation and enjoyed a delicious carvery at the local pub. It made exploring the area a breeze! We truly loved every moment, and our photos have already sparked interest from family and friends. I had the best few days at Sallys shepherds hut. It was exactly as described (in fact, probably more roomy than I thought it would be!) Paddy showed me around when I arrived and I could contact them both if I needed anything. The hut had all the essentials that I needed and being able to park right next to it was really helpful. A few days away for some peace and quiet was just what I was after and it absolutely delivered. My spaniel loved the field to run around in too, just opening the door in the morning to let him run outside was nice. The weather wasn’t the best (very rainy) but to come back and light the fire to warm up was great and the hut holds heat well, I wasn’t cold at all. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and I’d highly recommend it. Perfect location for hikes, getting to the beach and some lovely pubs in the village for dinner. The copper kettle is great for breakfast too! I didn’t want to leave! Thanks again Sally and Paddy for everything.

Chloe has been the perfect host for my partner and I celebrating his birthday and Valentine’s Day. The Shepard’s hut was as described, very clean and cosy. The little extra touches of decorations, Prosecco, breakfast bits and snacks, as well as ensuring our hot tub was warm for arrival on day one and returning from a walk on day two were so kind. Chloe has also been very helpful in posting items left behind quickly for us! The hot tub is super easy to operate and gets very hot. The recommended pubs were easy to get to and great value for money. We will definitely be returning in future and are recommending to friends and family!

This shepherds hut must be the best in the South West! Lou is a fab host, so friendly and accommodating. The hut itself is even more stunning than the pictures - it has been so cleverly designed and decorated. It felt like a really luxury stay, with dressing gowns, lovely quality bedding and overall great facilities. The hot tub is glorious, with the candles and lights making it even prettier. The surrounding area is very picturesque and we would definitely return. Thank you Lou!

Perfect little stay, Andrew was very helpful in the communications. Place was exactly as described. The outdoor bath was amazing, and when we left the gate open, we enjoyed the roaming chickens! Even a nice little touch with a Valentines day game upon arrival, would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic weekend here. The hut is beautiful. Had everything we needed. The location is beautiful and we had the darkest skys at night I have ever seen in the uk. Would love to come back.

We had the most luxurious weekend just before Christmas. Brilliant hosts. Stunning location, looking out over the valley, watching the alpacas roam. The hut feels very private, down its own little footpath. The 2-person hot tub isn't overlooked by anyone else and no one would ever pass by (unless they were lost). Robes and towels provided. The hut is very cosy and warm - even when we only used the heated towel rail. The wood burner is fantastic (wood supplied free of charge). The bed folds down from the wall into the space where the table/benches are. Cooking facilities are two hobs and a microwave, with all pans/utensils we needed. Fantastic shared facilities as well: we used the indoor pool and table tennis - although it was hard to peel ourselves away from our beloved hut! We were there during a mega storm and (a) the hut stayed super cosy and (b) Simon and Claire were super responsive when the storm knocked out the water pump. What a fantastic weekend - can't wait to go back!
