Vacation rentals with lake access in West Somerset District

Booked this for me and my friends (8of us) couldn’t of asked for a better host, great communication, great location would definitely book again thank you!

A beautiful arts and crafts house. Plenty of room for the whole family although, unfortunately, only 5 out of our party of 8 made it due to storm Darragh. The house was warm and cosy and we felt safe during gale force winds. We didn’t need a car - two rail stations eight minutes walk away. Very easy to get into city centre Jacky was very helpful and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Ian's place is absolutely stunning. We stayed as a group of 8 friends and thoroughly enjoyed a cozy long winter weekend. The house had everything we could need and then some - comfortable beds, lovely fireplace, soft towels, plenty of space for everyone to relax, and all the kitchen/dining supplies needed for cooking big meals together. The pictures don't do it justice! The surroundings are also beautiful - we enjoyed a wander down to the beach and had lunch in the great local pub. Ian was incredibly responsive, helpful, and flexible both before and throughout our stay.

Incredible 4 night stay, everything about it was perfect even the weather!! Accommodation was spot on and perfect for myself, wife and our cockapoo. The place is spotless and has everything you need for a home from home. The bed is super comfy and to wake up with the view across the river is really special. Perfect location to walk into Bideford it’s about 15 minutes and the town has everything you want/need. Found a nice little cocktail bar too! There’s a great walk straight from the house ‘coastal path’ we walked for about 90 minutes on the Sunday morning. Also not to far from incredible beaches, Saunton and Woolacombe. Definitely our favourite place that we’ve stayed at recently. Host Wendy is great she gave us some dog friendly pubs and was always quick to respond. I’d go back on a heartbeat and felt so rested after the break.

A perfect few days away - a proper hideaway lodge with hot tub, rolling hills and utter silence! Bliss.

James and Elisha were fab hosts as very attentive and gave clear guide to the house appliances, the pictures are true to what you see there. Really Nice touch with the welcome gifts left too :) everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Thank you both x

A lovely and very special place to stay. Very comfortable and flexible accommodation. We met many very friendly people on the Estate, most of them with dogs! Take care if you do the coastal path from the estate to either Lyme Regis or Seaton. It is very challenging especially if wet! Lyme Regis is a lovely town and a brief car journey from the Estate. Parking can be tricky. There is a bus but it's not very frequent.

We had a wonderful stay at The Frog, this cosy little place was just what we needed to relax and unwind in peace. Its beautifully quiet with only the lovely sounds of nature and a few nearby cows. Pure bliss! We loved watching the bunnies at dusk and what a treat to slip into the outdoor tub and stargaze! Louise was a wonderful host and we will definitely be back to this gorgeous spot!

Best Place Ever Apartment exceeds the pictures in all ways. Most gorgeous AirBnB I have been to in my life. Host Guy is the sweetest, most helpful man. Make sure you walk to the beach and check the surrounding beacons for a hike.

We stayed here for our wedding night. Absolutely beautiful accommodation, lovely touch of petals on the bed. Grounds were stunning and I even had a cuddle with the resident ginger cat. Would love to stay again.

Joanna made me feel very welcome and was a warm and friendly host. I felt very at home and comfortable in The Tack Room and enjoyed my stay enormously. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and it was a privilege to be allowed to enjoy them with my dog.

Lovely stay at Debby's place, easy check in very responsive host. had everything we needed. Great location on the site.

Despite a bit of trouble finding the place everything else was fantastic. Perhaps a bit too warm overnight, but I expect others may have enjoyed that. Perfectly suited our needs . Group attending a study day in city centre. I would recommend.

Terry has a lovely flat by the beach with a cafe next door for breakfast. The bed was comfortable, the water hot and I had everything I needed for my work trip. I used the table as a desk but it would be perfect for a quick microwaved meal for two. I was impressed by the speed of Terry's response to my questions. I would love to go back for a holiday as there is lots to do and explore but my highlight was walking along the beach as dawn broke.

Beautiful apartment with everything u need. Right next to the ocean, u could hear the waves in the night coming in. Would recommend :)

A lovely little place in the Welsh valleys. Steeped in coal mining history & gorgeous countryside around, this little gem was perfect for our short stay whilst visiting family who lived in a neighbouring town. The cottage is so cosy & clean, with everything you need. Just at the top of the street is access to the former colliery which is now just stunning countryside, perfect for dog walks with our two French Bulldogs. There's even a couple of alpacas guarding the sheep up the lane! We didn't meet John, but he was very responsive to messaging. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second stay - really fab, spacey accommodation which is close to the centre of chew magna. Jacqueline is super help and really responsive.

Perfect location for us with what we had on. Really cosy yet spacious. Immaculately decorated and clean. Everything we needed. Really friendly and responsive host. Flexible and helpful. Lovely animals too. No complaints at all!

Our stay at Orchard Cottage was magical. Lower Marsh Farm is a beautiful setting and really helped my partner and I to truly relax. The cottage was such a relaxing environment to come back to after exploring cornwall, and the hot tub really made it extra special. Olivia was a superb hostess, and greeted us and talked us through where we could find local amenities and checked if we had any requirements. We absolutely loved it here and will be returning :))

Really lovely little break. Our daughter loved the animals. The property was well stocked and they had thought of everything. The garden is lovely, although being December we didn't use it. Not a lot within walking distance, but plenty within half an hour drive.

Gorgeous cottage in a really picturesque place. Accommodation has all necessary amenities. Kaye & Richard are lovely hosts - hospitable & knowledgeable. Beautifully scenic walks literally on their doorstep. And it’s just a short drive (20 mins) from the coast where there are some stunning walks. Could have done with a couple more days to explore the area!

The cottage was extremely comfortable, cosy and home from home like. The log fire was roaring when we arrived on a chilly November evening which was a lovely touch. We really can't fault the place or the hosts, our stay was extremely enjoyable!

We had a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The cottage had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We worked our way through Karen's Guidebook and still have lots left on our list to do! Our dog appreciated her welcome pack too! We will be back.
