Ranil’s villa is absolutely stunning. Not only is it in a fabulous location right on the most beautiful beach, it is huge with a beautiful internal courtyard garden, spacious rooms and lots of beautiful furniture. It’s really on a completely different scale! The pool is amazing, really big and wonderfully warm. In addition Piyal the villa manager and the team provide an amazing service and experience and Piyal was really super helpful. We would definitely highly recommend this villa and we hope to stay again one day.

The hosts are lovely people, we stayed an extra day, that's why I have a previous review. They did everything to make us comfortableand happy. Karu was also helpful and a great cook. We would highly recomend this place to everyone.

This is the 3rd time we are staying at Namal’s beautiful home. As always Namal is a great host and excellent service and support. Sumudu is a great caretaker. This will be our go to place whenever we visit Sri Lanka. Thank you Namal

We stayed with our 3 kids and we really enjoyed it. We have stayed in Mount Lavinia every time we come to Sri Lanka but this was the best place we’ve stayed at so far. House was very nice, private pool, spacious garden and everything is within walking distance. Nilanka was very flexible when we changed our stay 2 times but it was never a problem. We would highly recommend Samudra House!

We based ourselves at Janith's place for a month and it was a great choice. The house it self is spacious, clutter free, well equipped, clean and have a design that puts you at ease, relaxed. The pool was a great way to keep the kids entertained. Has good internet connection if you intend to work while on holiday. And there is Netflix for kids entertainment. There was regular cleaning of the pool and the house during our stay, which was great. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. There are supermarkets, food outlets, restaurants near by. While the location is away from the busy Colombo centre, it is easy to get to city by taxi. And if you are planning on going Down south to beach you can easily access the highway going south. Janith was easy to communicate with, helpful and friendly. We would definitely love to go back to Janith's place again.

We enjoyed a lot, caretaker Ms.Samantha was very care taking, property is very clean, spacious,pool is clean with water, host everyday take care of cleanliness n rooms got prepared everyday, very safe place,lots of glassware n kitchen is uptodate, at leisure piano relaxing us, rooms r good, towell, blankets etc are in plenty... Regarding availability of conveyance from property UBER and PICKME app in 2-3 min vehicle come to our place. Shopping mall, food city, pizza hut, restaurant all are nearby.. Indeed very good place to stay with family...

Kumar’s place was fabulous. Jaya (house keeper) was such an amazing help, simply made our stay luxurious. Tuan (manager) was very responsive and helped with arranging everything.

We felt so grateful that Shanika and the cohosts looked after us so well, it was a home away from home. The place was really homely. Secured Easy access . Well maintained and beautiful set up along with plants and lovely ornaments and a fountain near the living area. Quiet neighbourhood. Sumal ( the host ) is very attentive and always ensure that we are comfortable . And ofcourse friendly and helpful as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Located away from the main road so it was very peaceful and quiet. The master bedroom has air conditioning which was a lifesaver due to how warm Kalutara was during our stay. Other bedrooms have ceiling fans. Overall a very clean and spacious property. Thanks for having us!

Great place for a family. Spacious, clean and matches the descriptions. Helpful host too. Some advice for foreigners… take mosquito repellent and something for red ants. The kids got bitten!

We stayed at Madampe for Christmas, it was one of the best stays for all of us. The villa is prettier and bigger that in the pictures, pool was clean all the time, very beautiful trees and flowers. The hosts were amazing, very friendly and attentive, they also cooked us amazing dishes for a very good price. It was very peaceful and homey, the beach is literally 5 minute walk from villa and we saw the most amazing sunsets. One thing I would suggest is that if you’re planning to visit Madampe house make sure to bring mosquito repellant spray. Other than that everything was beyond our expectations!

So close to the main road, banks, supermarkets, etc. Nice Garden, Spacious rooms, and kitchen equipment. Clean Rooms and Bathrooms. Sumanasiri is so friendly and supportive. Flexible with Check-in and Check-out timings. Highly Recommended.

This is my third time staying at Yas's place. First 02 times I was traveling Solo but this time came with my wife. Self and wife had a great stay here! The host was extremely helpful right from booking all the way to check out, always checking up on us through messages to see if we had any problems, and always replying promptly. she had been really prompt in communication Short walk to local supermarket and Tuk Tuk stand. Local amenities include pharmacy, Restaurants and take away shops all within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sri Lanka. would recommend the place for everyone who comes to this part of Colombo.

Great spot, friendly staff.

Ryan was an exceptional host. Very warm and welcoming. He was also available for us anytime over call or evwn a message. Regarding the stay everything was taken care of as mentioned in the listing. The place is well maintained and organized. The location is at walkable distance from supermarkets like keels and cargills and also from public transport. All kitchen essentials were present for light cooking. Bathrooms had the necessary toileteries. The rooms were spacious. The washing machine was in good condition. Iron provided was good. No issues with internet, electricity and water as well. We stayed at the property for 9 nights and we always felt at home. Would definitely recommend this property to others. Suggestion would be to put a clock in the living area and bedrooms if possible.

Asela was a superb host, was in communication with us regularly and could not do enough for us. Nothing we asked was ever a problem. He made us feel most welcome into a traditional home. This was the first place we stayed at in Sri Lanka, and Asela’s warmth and kindness was the start of an amazing time in Sri Lanka. Asela was in contact with us during our whole stay on the island and was there if you needed anything. Highly recommend. Great host, location a min walk from the beach with good restaurants and places to relax.
