Extremely happy to be a returning guest. The apartment is in a very good, easy to find location. I truly enjoyed the clean, comfortable, beautiful place and the splendid view of the ocean. There are many restaurants near by therefore, didn’t need to use the kitchen but the washer and dryer was very useful. Everything ran smoothly and the place is very secure indeed. The staff accommodated our food needs so well. Served always with a smile. So close to the main attractions. The sea was rough when we stayed so couldn’t go to the beach in front of the property. But Hikkadua was so close and we enjoyed the beach activities there.

We loved our stay at Villa Serenity very much. Gamini, the caretaker, always supported us with everything we needed, was always friendly and helpful and his cooking is amazing. The house is located in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood. Wadduwa is a fishing village and there were not that many tourists, which was a plus for us, because it made our stay feel more authentic. The house is as described and the photos represent it accurately. The pool was even bigger than we expected and the kids were in there for hours. We recommend the house to everyone, especially also to families with children.

Shashika's home is stunningly beautiful. High wooden ceiling, spacious living space with an over-the-counter style kitchen where you can cook and dine. It's complete with stove, utensils, oven, fridge - all you need is the raw materials - it's the perfect Airbnb ever. Spacious bedrooms complete with wardrobes and attached bath give you a resort feel. The small bathroom is little slippery after the first shower. Have to be careful. The highlight is the swimming pool that's about 5ft deep and has some underwater lights, so cool and magical at night. The property has camera on the frontyard and a huge iron gate, it's more like a fortress - you feel safe at all times. It opens to the main road that's takes you to Bentota beach in just over 15 min on foot. Shashika is proactive and helpful in suggesting places to eat, points for water sports and scuba. He had a surprise welcome planned for us, it was truly humbling. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and wish to return sometime with family.

What a fantastic time we had in Sri Lanka! The villa is fabulous, so spacious & very comfortable for us & in a beautiful location. The pictures don't do it justice, we couldn't believe how lovely everything was. The pool was lovely, cleaned daily & very handy for a cooling dip in the heat. The river front location was very peaceful & only a five minute Tuk-tuk ride to a beautiful beach. Plenty of wildlife to see at the villa including monkeys & birds. Malan & Jarnicki were marvellous, wouldn't let us lift a finger to do anything, we felt very privileged, nothing was too much trouble. They are wonderful cooks & all the meals they prepared for us were absolutely delicious. Malan was always happy to take us out in his Tuk-tuk & recommended local places to visit. Also Malan was always happy to pick up shopping for us or take us shopping. We felt we were saying goodbye to friends when we left & we would certainly like to return to the villa for future visits to Sri Lanka. Alistair & Debbie

Sudam is an amazing host. We arrived at 2 AM, and he was awake, ready to greet us with a warm welcome. He made sure we were comfortable and always checked in to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. His hospitality made us feel like it was our own home. The accomodation was extremely clean and well kept. The air-cons worked perfectly. The beds were also very comfy. It was a safe environment with good security. No complaints at all. We would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone visiting. We will definitely be back here when we go back to Sri Lanka. Thank you Sudam for making our stay so wonderful!

We spent some nights at Sahan's homestay. Sahan's friend gave us a ride from the airport to the accommodation for a fair price, slightly more than an Uber, but it was convenient as we didn’t have to worry upon arrival. We received a warm welcome from his wife, Piimi, and his mother, as Sahan was away. To greet us, they offered a fresh king coconut. You’ll share the house with Sahan’s wonderful family and possibly other guests from the two additional rooms, but the bathroom is all yours. Every day, we enjoyed delicious, authentic meals prepared by Sahan’s mother, charged at 1,500 rupees, comparable to restaurant prices in the south. There were many mosquitos, so we asked Sahan for a mosquito net, which Piimi provided, ensuring we could sleep peacefully. Be cautious in the bathroom! The beach is just a short 5-min walk away. The path goes through some wilderness where you might spot monkeys, lizards, and plenty of dogs. The secluded beach is mostly deserted, with some stray dogs.
