Casa Starstruck ~ Desert Oasis

CourtneyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Home was so beautiful and very clean and cozy! We got to watch the night sky and enjoy the peace and quiet. The beds were super comfortable also! The only downside was the road leading to it was definitely was a pain even in a truck. Be prepared to go off roading, but the house made it worth the drive. The host was very responsive. I thought I left my wallet and got a fast response back and the host even went to check to see if it was there. If you enjoy being outside in nature away from everyone. I recommend this place 100%!

Tres Patas Terlingua

MelissaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My girlfriends and I traveled to Terlingua for a women's hiking adventure. The property is a little ways away from the Terlingua town. But the views, the privacy and landscape made the distance more than bearable and very worth the stay. All the rooms in the house were spacious and comfortable. Both the front and back patios were very inviting. The house is an open concept which allows everyone freedom of movement. Our beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby both nights we were there. We used the kitchen on our second night for a home cooked steak dinner. All the basic cooking tools are provided. Stephanie and Bruce were very responsive to every message we sent from the time of booking to the time of departure. They offered suggestions and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I would definitely return to Tres Patas at my next visit to the area. The views were absolutely spectacular and we even got to see the Tres Patas bear (from a very safe distance). Book now!

We absolutely loved our stay and wanted to stay an extra night m, but, you know, reality calls. The directions given from Molly were exact and we didn’t lose our way whatsoever. Very clean! View is perfect! Much more secluded than we thought! We are planning to book the same house again soon!

Casa Abuelo Loco, New Custom Home. Grand Opening 1

KateRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We traveled to 5 national parks over the course of 10 days for spring break, and my 8 and 5 year old both ranked Daryl's place as their favorite part of the trip. Needless to say, they were big fans of the pool table and having a TV in their room! Daryl's place was perfect for our family - centrally located to Big Bend and Terlingua, clean, spacious, and had a nice assortment of games for the kids/adults to play. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise in the morning from the porch and mapping out the constellations at night. Wonderful place - we would absolutely stay again.

Casa Tranquilla: Scenic Solar and Wind Powered Hom

Ryan and JulesRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved this rustic getaway in Terlingua Ranch. It was easily accessible with Daryl’s instructions and exactly as described. The place is nestled higher-up between two hills, giving great views of the nearby mountains and desert floor - great for watching sunsets and stargazing. Very good location for access to both BBNP and BBRSP, which were our hiking destinations every day. We had a couple of evening thunderstorms over the course of our stay, which were amazing to experience, but washed out the dirt road a bit, making driving a little more difficult, but manageable. Overall recommend. We’ll be back.

Desert Sky Hideaway: Modern Home near the Terlingu

HannahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had such a great time! This place is in a great location — only 10-15 minutes from the Big Bend National Park entrance! The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. We were easily able to cook all our meals there. The space was really clean and comfortable. We brought up all our own drinking water which I would recommend since the water is a little brown when it is first turned on then shortly goes away. I’m sure this is normal for the area since it’s remote and in the desert so it didn’t bother us! Just come prepared. It seems to be one of the bigger and nicer places in the area and you can’t beat the location! We would definitely stay again and we highly recommend!

Boulder Ridge Ranch: Luxury lodging for up to six

ChristinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house sits on a beautiful piece of land with amazing views of the mountains and night sky. Mornings on the lovely porch are peaceful and beautiful. The house is clean and cozy with a nice kitchen and dining area for meals. The drive from the main road to the house is rocky so a truck, jeep or suv that is higher off the ground is best. We made it in our sedan but it was a little difficult. All in all we had a wonderful stay and can't wait for our next trip to explore the Big Bend area more.

Desert Aura: Southwest Adobe & Detached Guesthouse

TracieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My family was eagerly awaiting our trip to Big Bend. Desert Aura was the perfect place for our getaway. We travel a lot and I can honestly say Darryl's place tops our list of stays. Though isolated (which is what we were looking for), it had every creature comfort that helped with feeling like a home away from home. His instructions for access were easy to understand. There was a binder packed full of recommendations which also proved to be very helpful. The property was quaint and with a beautiful, desert landscape. We definitely plan to return again!

Cactus Corazón: Comfortable, Spacious & Secluded

KaelaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Stayed here with my group, we loved it! It is remote and you get an awesome view of the night sky. It was about a 45 minute drive from Terlingua and 1.5 hour drive from the base of Big Bend National Park. The horseshoes and disc golf were fun add-ons. A highlight was the star viewing deck! I would definitely recommend staying here, its a bit of a drive but worth it. We were able to get accurate directions from google maps which was very helpful! Would love to come back and stay here again!

Coleman was a great host, very approachable and responsive, particularly when we faced a small issue with the AC - he was dedicated to resolving it efficiently. The accommodation was excellent, offering ample space and tastefully adorned with stylish decor. The provision of generous parking space was an added advantage. I would certainly consider staying here again.

Spirit House in the Terlingua Ghost Town

JoshuaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This house was so great but the BEST thing was the location! It was less than 20 minutes from the entrance to Big Bend and it was super walkable to all the restaurants and shops in ghost town. The house was super cozy and well appointed and very clean. We would absolutely book this again if we came back to big bend. Ps- if you play pickleball, there is a court 20 feet from the house!

Texas Home Sweet Home is now Texas Home

ShondaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The Texas House is a slice of heaven in the middle of the vast West Texas landscape. Our group traveled from Houston and Denver and after a long drive were greeted with stunning scenery and a sense of calm and tranquility. The home exceeded our expectations—much larger than anticipated, it provided ample space for the four of us to spread out and relax. The thoughtful amenities and attention to detail were immediately apparent and we appreciated how well-stocked the home was. The host went above and beyond by providing bottled drinking water, which was especially appreciated given that the home operates on a well. The location of the property strikes the perfect balance—close enough to Terlingua to make it easily accessible, but far enough to offer unparalleled views of the night sky. Daryl was a great host—responsive, accommodating and helpful throughout our entire stay. We’re already looking forward to our next trip!

No Stock Ranch: Secluded Home w/ Large Porch

CarolRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Wasnt a bad drive to Terlingua, Big Bend Nat’l Park or Big Bend Ranch State Park. It actually worked out great because we werent far from the Marathon side entrance of BBNP (unpaved road), and we loved the drive going into the park that way. Sitting on the porch after each day of sightseeing was the perfect end to the days. We saw quail and a rabbit while sitting out there. We saw javelina while on the rod getting to the rental. It rained our last night, and it was a good storm, lots of rain, lightning and thunder. Would have loved to have taken a video from inside out, but didnt because of so much lightning. The road leaving from the rental got rough due to all of the water runoff, so for that reason only (heavy rains), low clearance vehicles would have had a tough time getting out. We absolutely LOVED the place!!!!!!
