Ghost town Ruin

It took my husband nine winters to rebuild the ruin from the miners back in the 40's. It has a 10" memory full size mattress, a light, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, microwave, and an outdoor covered patio area with a refrigerator. It is rustic and special at the same time. It has an electric heater for cool nights and a small AC for warmer ones. We have WiFi on the compound, however, reception in the rock Ruin is iffy at best, reception is in the Patio area of the Ruin and common area,

Alma Ranch 2 is a unique property, located on Terlingua Ranch just 4 miles from the Terlingua Lodge, Bad Rabbit Cafe and pool. This trailer has all the comforts of home, with electricity, AC/heat and a septic system (which means flushable toilets) The kitchen is fully stocked, including a full size refridgerator, stove and microwave. We provide some drinking water and coffee. It is nestled in the mountains and provides a view as far as the eye can see. The night sky is amazing, stars forever.

Welcome to my earth bag home located 25 minutes outside of the entrance to Big Bend National Park. The house sits on 100 acres with 360 degree views of mountains, mesas, pinnacles, spires, and buttes. There are walking trails throughout the property. Good luck finding another home with a as much love put into it! If the Earthbag home is booked I have a home called “Rammed Earth” over the hill that is a work of art. For some reason with online algorithms this home is not showing up as often.

Such a peaceful and serene paradise! We loved the simplicity of the residence as well as the nostalgia. This is a great way to renovate a family camper! The locations is great too, we watched the sunrise and sunset every day! The location is amazing too, there are hills/mountains on both sides so you get a fantastic view of the sunrise and sunset! What a lovely way to unwind and relax after hiking the mountains and desert at Big Bend! This residence is 15 minutes away from the entrance to the park, you can't beat that!

It's hard to describe how awesome this place is. It's hard to beat those views even in the park. I had a lot of fun just hiking around up there. Rusty was very nice and told us everything we needed to know. I'd love to come out here again.

Enjoyed the Aframe house, well equipped and stocked to BBQ, cook, relax outside and star gaze. Esteban answered all my questions and was very helpful. He even has an ATV for rent as an add on. Tips: download a map and the location. It’s not in Terlingua like the Air BNB map shows but it isn’t too far. Sign to get there is dark and hard to catch at night so map it before you go out there. If during daylight - no prob, easy to spot.

Private minimal basecamp rental near Big Bend

We rented the Airstream, and while the listing description is incredibly detailed—so much so that you might be tempted to skim—it’s important to note that the description is accurate. The Airstream is situated on a spacious part of the property with room for open fires and includes a private outhouse. However, guests should be fully aware that the Airstream is currently a bare shell. It has a thin 3" mattress with no sheets, and there is no electricity—meaning no power or air conditioning. In my opinion, and I stress this is just my personal view, I would not recommend staying here until the planned renovation (expected in 2026) is completed.
