Jon is a fantastic host – quick to respond and very helpful. The apartment is lovely, easy to find, and in a great location near restaurants, shops, and public transport (Uxbridge underground (10-15 mins walk) and the Elizabeth Line from West Drayton (15 mins via the U1 bus). It’s also only 15 minutes from Heathrow by taxi – ideal for both my arrival and an early morning flight from T5. The setting by the canal is peaceful and perfect for a sunny stroll. My friend and I loved walking along the water and stopping for refreshments. We chose to stay in for supper, using the well-equipped kitchen and enjoying the cosy, homely vibe of the apartment – perfect for a catch-up. I’ve already shared this gem with friends flying into Heathrow and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the Uxbridge area. I will definitely be staying again :-)

Was a great place to stay to explore Oxford. The Flat was very clean and comfortable. And what a luxury to have a parking place right by your accommodation while being so close to the centre of the city. Lovely view over the river. Oxford has so much to do. The flat is such an easy walk from the centre. Or like us you can walk in either direction along the river and enjoy a scenic route into the city.

Could’ve asked for a better location - as it’s a city centre spot everything was walkable which is exactly what we wanted. If you’re after peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. Spotlessly clean, friendly host, comfy bed, with all amenities you would expect. Highly recommend!

We are so pleased we booked abi’s place instead of a hotel. It was like a home from home with all the amenities you could need. Surrounded by places to eat and a view of the castle as soon as you leave the building not to mention the balcony to watch the boats go by while having your first coffee of the day. Abi is so thoughtful and easy to get along with and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her place to anyone.

I’m a repeat visitor to Amandeep’s wonderful flat. The location is perfect: it’s a 5 - 10 minute walk to the Castle, the Great Walk, Eton, Thames path, restaurants, a Waitrose and both train stations (you can be in central London in an hour). Even more impressive - to me at least - is the view of the Thames, which is sublime. Flat is well-equipped and always spotless. Because of the location and windows on three sides, there’s almost always a cooling cross-breeze in the summer months. Recommend without hesitation.

Four members of my family stayed here over Christmas as our own house was full. They loved it. 'Brilliant. Great. Five stars,' was one response. Although it is a typical Oxford cottage and looks small from the outside, it is suprisingly spacious inside. Aside from the comfort , my family enjoyed the personal feel of the house, the selection of books, the charming garden, the location by the river and the thoughtful provision of a vegan breakfast. Everything worked well. We will definitely book it again.

Great stay, with a great host who was very helpful, responsive and flexible. Beautiful lodge in a private location and with great view of the marina. Only negative for us was the hardness of the mattress other than this we had a great time and would be sure to recommend to friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay. Some practical improvements had been made since our last stay, in particular the new teapot was very welcome!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at V's through Airbnb, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, V was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our experience was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend notifying her of your arrival time; it allows her to prepare everything perfectly. Upon entering, we were greeted by a delightful assortment of thoughtful touches that made our stay feel uniquely special. V had arranged a delightful spread of personalized breakfast items upon request, featuring artisan breads, jams, butter, and even delicious chocolates and a cake waiting for us. The warm ambiance, enhanced by soft music and gentle lighting, instantly made us feel at home. V's interior decor is truly one of a kind, reflecting her fantastic personality and talent for design. Our family booked Mark's house for an Easter break for us all. We absolutely loved the house and the space was perfect for all of us. Mark was very responsive giving us recommendations for The White Hart at Minster Lovell for a pub tea and delicious Bird In Hand at Witney for a delicious Sunday Lunch. We walked around Minster Lovell, booked Archery at Batsford Arboretum and visited Burford along with Cotswold Wildlife Park. We enjoyed cooking in for two nights, playing games and relaxing in the gorgeous house. My husband and I spent a few coffee's/glasses of wine discussing if the glass extension would work on the back on of our own house as we loved the room. Thanks again for being a great host and allowing us to enjoy your home.

Beautiful property! Adorable cottage very close to a nearby historic town with all amenities (groceries, cafes, restaurants). The cottage does give a secluded feel even though you are close to necessities. The cottage has everything you need (minus food) and even a few thoughtful surprises to welcome you, I won't spoil it. You can tell that the owner takes great pride in their home as it has been beautifully restored to keep the old world vibe, but with modern appointments. It's a great location if you want to be secluded, but also quickly drive to Oxford, Bath, and Bibery. We would absolutely stay here again!

Quiet and off the beaten path, but a quick walk to town. Loved the faint sound through the window of the little river running next to the apartment. The place was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Feels like it was recently redone. We appreciated the heater in the bathroom to warm our towels. When we messaged her with a question, Lesley responded very quickly. Would love to stay there when we visit Oxford again. This place is a gem!

Beautiful home, perfect place to stay. The garden is absolutely amazing. Claire Marie was very welcoming, made us feel at home. Went out of her way to ask if we needed anything. We had a short stay of only two nights and didn’t really get around to using the many amenities provided, but never felt we lacked for anything that we did need. House and bed were comfortable, bathroom shower fixtures were easy to work. Good stay.

Apartment very well designed with everything you might require, plus lots of individual touches to make it extra special. Train station is a short walk away giving easy access to Windsor. Linda is an excellent and the welcome basket was a really nice touch!

oh my goodness what a position actually on the River Thames. It was perfect for my 93 year old mother as no stairs to climb. Accurately described, a little rustic. Great communication replying in a few minutes. Feel very lucky to have stayed at Waters Edge.

I wish I could find the right words to describe how amazing our stay was, but I will try! First of all, Karen is the most amazing host. Always friendly and happy to help me. We had a peculiar situation as we were relocating from abroad and she was so kind and generous with us. The apartment was spotless and had good quality linen, towels and amenities. The bed is very comfortable and the wardrobe is very big, making this place ideal also for long stays like ours. The parking space is safe and convenient with the lift taking you in front of the door. The view from the balcony is so nice and peaceful with birds and ducks around all the time. We enjoyed the place so much, but we also appreciated the pleasant walk to the train station to go to central London or Reading. Overall, I couldn’t have wished for a better place for our first home in the UK. I know that when I will have people visiting, I will always try to book Karen’s place and I will miss it so much.

Our host Evie was very friendly, flexible and helpful. The property was perfect for our central Oxford stay - literally a minute's walk to Westgate Shopping Centre and many bars and restaurants. The beds were extremely comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed including easy car parking. Thanks for a fab stay! :-)
