Rural Shepherd's Hut - The Place for Ewe

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful surroundings, Katherine was a fantastic host and was very welcoming. Lots of extra touches in the hut such as breakfast and milk. A 30 minute walk to the heart of Oxford along a scenic canal, stunning views, wildlife all around and easy to walk. Katherine kindly allowed us to park before check in time. We visited the Perch pub which is a 10 minute walk and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this accommodation. We stayed two nights and loved it! Book now you won’t be disappointed! Thank you for having us Katherine!

We had an absolutely delightful stay! The place was pleasant and just as cozy and comfortable as we had hoped. Bronwen went above and beyond to be warm and helpful, making us feel truly welcome from start to finish. It was the perfect home away from home and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hassle-free and inviting getaway.

Charming Charlbury Cottage set in Idyllic garden

NeleshRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
5 stars all round. Highly recommended. This was a great place to stay. An easy walk from the train station (<10 min). In the centre of Charlbury, only minutes from nice pubs, restaurants and the local co-op, but still very peaceful and quiet. In a lovely garden with own outside deck and table. Bright and airy. Spacious enough for two. Good shower. Comfortable king bed with crisp linen. Cozy and comfortable sitting room. Charlbury is a beautiful town with easy train and bus links to London, Oxford, Woodstock (Blenheim), etc. And gorgeous surrounding countryside with great walks. Martin and Helena were generous friendly hosts. We really appreciated a late check out so that we could enjoy a leisurely countryside walk on our last morning. Many thanks!

'Shepherds Rest' our stunning shepherds hut.

SamRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

We had a wonderful time at Emily’s shepherd’s hut. The hut itself was beautiful and had everything we needed, as well as a lovely wood burning stove, a comfy bed and lots of natural light and ambiance. The area around the Airbnb is beautiful and very peaceful. Emily was so responsive and friendly and even picked us up and dropped us off at the station! We will be visiting again very soon 🥰

Unique stable conversion, log burner, rural view.

GeorgiaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Loved our stay at Shelagh’s! She had really thought of everything and it felt super homey. The little decoration touches, the breakfast, the log burner, she even left cake for us! It was all so so thoughtful, we loved sitting out the back having a drink and watching the sheep 😊 I would say a car is pretty essential if you want to go out, it’s a short drive to lots of little villages. We loved the coffee & bacon baps at the street bakery!

Woodland Hideaway

TimothyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We booked this place to visit various family members which were all located in Surrey and Hampshire. As we had a young Springador with us it was essential that there was a garden and the owners of the lodge very kindly have the whole garden available and she certainly made use of it. The walks from the door were very easy to follow and were various lengths and abilities so there’s something for everyone. On arrival there was a delightful homemade marmalade cake waiting for our attendance. That was and still is being dutifully attended to and that really was quite exceptional. The hosts were friendly and approachable and provided extra chairs for us as our son visited us one of the evenings. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at this Woodland Hideaway.

The Pool House

Honestly had the most amazing time. If you’re a young family like us you will be glad to know that the hosts had great care for our child’s safety, making sure to instruct us on any possible hazard/risk presenting and how to avoid them. They were incredibly welcoming and let us get straight to doing what we stayed there to do, relax. We are locals and we will definitely be back again at the earliest opportunity. It honestly didn’t feel like we were still in Oxford. The property is completely secure, very quiet and incredibly clean, modern features, great experience (see you again soon!)

A peaceful rural retreat

GraceRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I loved this place. The annex was very homely and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a few nights away. This place was so peaceful and I felt well rested when I left. The living room/ kitchen was big enough to relax and cook whilst enjoying a view of a field. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was super comfy and large with again another gorgeous view of a field and beautiful tree. There was plenty of wildlife in the surrounding area which was lovely to see. The host Becky was very friendly and gave very clear instructions among arrival. She left recommendations of walks, pubs and things to do. I would highly recommend this air bnb for a relaxing, peaceful and restful weekend away.
