Charming home, lots of character. Kid friendly, and within walking distance of a park and grocery store. Host was very gracious and helpful when things broke, or needed maintenance. We would recommend this stay to anyone who does not require wheelchair access, and who is comfortable with proximity to trains. TLDR Beautiful, comfortable, clean, not wheelchair accessible and conveniently located!

Great, little place to stay and not a bad drive from Galena. Only wish we had more time to stay! Maybe next time!

My husband, Jeff's stay at this incredible retreat was nothing short of phenomenal! This is our second booking as we both stayed here last year. Perched perfectly overlooking the majestic Mississippi River, the views from this charming getaway were simply breathtaking. Very nice place, a short drive into Galena and around 20 minutes to Chestnut Mountain. We stayed there with our daughter and two of her friends, and they thought it was great. It snowed before we arrived, and we appreciated that Stefania removed the snow and made it easy to get in and out.

Convenient location for stay purposes. House was perfect size for needs and was easy for an out of stater to find. Check in and out was easy and convenient as well. The hosts, Cody and Shannon, were both very accommodating and friendly. Will probably try to rent from this host again in the future!

We had a great stay here! The house is beautiful and private. We grilled, used the hot tub, played pool. We thoughts the beds and the linens were very comfortable!! Our whole group was impressed with the house.

This was such a beautiful property to visit. The view is incredible. We especially enjoyed walking the trails that are cut through the meadows with our dog and watching the birds at the feeders and the cows grazing in the distance. The bottle of wine was a lovely welcome. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool table as well as the unique surroundings. Beds were comfortable. Short drive to Galena and Elizabeth. Highly recommend staying here!

Had an incredible stay at this cabin! It is an incredible view and totally cozy. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked which made it easy for us to cook our own meals. The bathroom was modern and clean. The cabin is on difficult road so I would advise using vehicles that you’re comfortable driving off-road. I am gonna miss having a cup of coffee while looking out at the lake! The wood stove really heated up the place and gave a great atmosphere! Would love to come back at some point!
