Great totally independent apartment offering large authentic spaces and a welcoming and soothing terrace. It feels like home! The small village is very charming, offers the essentials: a sports cafe and a convenience store. Sea and beach nearby and beautiful waterfalls nearby.

Beautiful property, exactly as it looks. We shared the backyard with other guests, but enjoyed the shared experience. Quiet and peaceful place, just note the dogs next door may be barking, but it's fairly quiet with the windows shut. Would recommend the stay!

We love the whole place to stay! With parking in gated condominium, ecoponto, great conditions in the accommodation, this was the perfect accommodation for us. We also love the location, very calm and close to various services. In just a few minutes we are on the freeway to see the rest of the island ! Great family stay in a massive home that is private and centrally located. The Host was extremely helpful in providing great recommendations and always available to address questions/ requests. If we make our way back to the island, we will stay here again!

My boyfriend and I spent a week in this cottage and it was amazing. We felt at home with the couch, spare bed, pillows and blankets. The bathroom was large, beautiful, and clean. The kitchen is not only beautiful but also functional & probably the most well-equipped Airbnb kitchens I’ve ever used. The hosts provided us with everything we needed, even firewood for the fireplace and a speaker to play music. The bed was comfortable. We had a convenient place to park our rental car. The location is great because of the peaceful stream and private drive, but close enough to town that you can get what you need. It’s near the center of the island so our planned adventures were not too far away. We admired how the hosts preserved the history of the old mill in the renovation, it’s a well-cared for place. I would recommend this to anyone.

Set in a citrus grove with birdsong and bells tolling, João's place was a revelation--the perfect place to unwind, with easy access to everything on this magical island. We are planning a return visit and will definitely stay here again. It has plenty of amenities within walking distance including a great market and glorious beach. João left us locally made bread, fruit and cheese, making us feel enormously welcome. The space is spotless, and in a historic 18th century building, with a dreamy courtyard and patio. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening glass of vinho verde wine, surrounded by hibiscus and orange trees, and feeling like all is right in the world. Thank you João!

At Casa Da Burra, you quickly feel at home. This is one of the best Airbnb homes I've had the opportunity to test. The photographs published on the site only imperfectly reflect the beauty and tranquility of the home, beautifully decorated in a spirit of yesteryear with objects accumulated from generations to generations. The conservation of the empty pigsties and the rehabilitation of the stable (where the donkeys were) into a living room allow a journey through the history of this place. Above all, Jose and his son were responsive, incredibly kind. Groceries were provided for our arrival. They even thought of our daughter by providing Petit-Suisse cheeses. Delicate thoughts. Dario's place was clean and as described. He was a responsive host, he allowed us to check in a touch early as our flight arrived early in the day. After the weather got cool the host made sure to check in to see if we needed anything. The location is great for visiting the island it is central and not to far from PDL. Due to the humidity of the island there is a dehumidifier that needs to be on at all times, even so when using the washing machine some of our clothes took multiple days to hang dry (there is no dryer). Be weary of the humidity of the island (obviously no fault of the host). the space was large and we would stay here again.

A fully renovated farmhouse with high quality materials. Very comfy beds. Accessible banana garden. Beautiful country trails. Rental 5 min from all services. Bucolic setting. Songs of birds and roosters. Vila Franca do Campo is an IDEAL destination: in a week we were able to catch them all from the island, thanks to the location of the casa. Around the airport too. Outdoor terrace perfect for breakfasts. Great outdoor shower after the beach.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Carolina and Pedro’s guest suite. They were incredibly friendly, and communication was always quick and easy. Pedro gave us a great tour of their pineapple plantation, and Carolina’s homemade pineapple jam was delicious. A personal highlight for me was seeing their two Jack Russell Terriers, Greta and Fidel, every day. After recently losing my own Jack Russell, their presence brought me so much joy. Since we visited in April and the weather was still a bit moody, the pool wasn’t in service yet – but I’d love to return in the main season to enjoy the beautiful pool as well. Highly recommended!

Very nice local house, has everything necessary inside. Host was very friendly and gave lots of local recommendations. House is located in quite neighbourhood with some beautiful views. Perfect if you travel by car, because makes good staring point to explore eastern part of the island.

We had a lovely stay at Ana's place. We were well looked after from the moment I booked. Ana gave us fresh eggs from her own hens and one of her gorgeous cats kept us company every day, whenever we were home. The terrace is a beautiful big space. We enjoyed doing our yoga there each morning. Great amenities throughout and a lovely home feel. Parking was private and easy. Only 5 minutes to the beach, restaurants and shops. 25 minutes to the hot springs in Furnas along a beautiful road. Perfect base for exploring and taking in the treasures of this wonderful island of Sao Miguel.

Jose's house was perfect for this retired couple who likes quiet surroundings and lots of hiking. The view from the sunroom with lots of seating was amazing. You can access hiking trails and the shuttle to Lagoa do Fogo by walking from the house. Good restaurants and groceries are within a short drive. If you spend the day out exploring further reaches of the island, Jose's house is the perfect comfortable place to relax after a long day.

The house and garden are lovingly maintained and beautiful. Helena+ Felix were perfect hosts and spoiled us with homemade cakes, fresh fruit, etc. during our 3-week stay. I would like to give more than 5 points.

Marion is a great host, kind, generous and always available. The place was actually even more beautiful than shown in the pictures. We immediately felt comfortable. Very clean and comfortable, large superb yard and very convenient for kids to play. Slightly set back from the city, we loved it for the tranquility and the magnificent view! Perfectly located for visiting every corner of the island. Unbeatable value for money. I recommend it without hesitating!
