I recommend this apartment to everyone that wants to have a genuine experience of the Alentejo countryside. It is easy to approach, the apartment was equipped with everything we needed, and the farm was simply beautiful and peaceful. Sabine and Dries are lovely hosts who made sure we had a great stay. I fell in love with Alentejo and I hope I can come back to their farm next time!

Idyllic, peaceful, beautiful. It was the perfect setting for a few days of peace over the holidays. We left feeling absolutely rejuvenated. The cabins were perfect, felt private. All the cork trees were amazing - such good vibes. The animals on the farm were all adorable. Would be a great place in summer when the pool is usable. The farm looks like a nice place for a wedding or other milestone family celebration for those who love nature. We would definitely visit again :)

Our stay at this charming farm in Ribeira Grande was such a memorable experience. The property itself had so much character, with a peaceful and authentic atmosphere that made us feel right at home. What truly set this stay apart was the warmth and generosity of the host, who welcomed us with homemade guava drink, bolo lêvedo, and delicious jams, such a thoughtful way to share the flavors of the Azores. Every corner of the farm felt special, with a perfect mix of rustic charm and comfort. It was the kind of place that invites you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of nature and good company. We only stayed for two days, but it was enough to leave a lasting impression. We would absolutely love to return and experience it all again!

This was the most magical place for our family of five. I now want to come back and try all of Miguel’s other properties. A true highlight was taking advantage of the connections to local vendors that come with the hosts recommendations. Private dinner at the Pinta Lounge was amazing . I said to my husband at one point , “ I am so happy I could cry” - that sums up this cottage.

I have been so lucky to be able to stay at this property that I do not know how to start my review!!!! The communication was fast, helpful and friendly. The property is beyond words.......it is amazing. The photos do not do it justice as it is just spectacular and it took my breath away. It is a relaxing and peaceful home that offers everything you could want and more. We were met on arrival and the whole place took my breath away. The home is clean, well looked after and obviously loved and has everything you need plus extra special touches. The gardens are beautiful and perfectly kept. The swimming pool is clean and a wonderful place to relax. The BBQ areas are well kept and thought out and so lovely to be around in the evenings. We had the whole property and my words to describe that are WOW! There were 3 of us and a dog. It is perfect for pets. Thank you for making our family holiday so perfect.

Beautiful place, stunning views, very yummy breakfast every morning. Carlos is very friendly and helpful. the little cabins are comfortable and perfect for families.

Rogerio and his home is fantastic. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The grounds and surrounding area is beautiful. Lots of trees - they harvest cork, beautiful flowers. Great bird-watching. Very easily accessible to Monsanto and nearby sight-seeing but take Rogerio's recommendations on his favorites. Great stay.

We had a great time at Maria's place. It's a very nice house and very nice. Beautiful kitchen. On the terrace you have very nice views. It was perfect. Maria is incredibly nice. How sweet she is. But also very helpful. Ester, but girlfriend, is also incredibly nice and helpful. We really felt at home there. It was really, very nice. We can recommend this place to anyone.

We rented the space to be able to work in peace with the management team in Portugal, and still have plenty of space to retreat individually - if desired. It was perfect. The location, the huge space, the facilities, the communication with Rita, the reception, the giant big table, the well-equipped kitchen. Nothing but praise! We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful house, beautiful property. Spaces are very big, all have private bathrooms, big living room, big pool Good taste in decoration Highly recommend!

We - 3 adults and a two year old - had a great relaxing time in the lovely house of Jonathon and Sandra. Plenty of space inside, everything at hand. It felt like a home away from home. The land/garden around the house was very spacious, with a nice big (a bit cold at this time of year) pool, nice garden furniture, a cosy dining area and for my daughter a great playground. In the quiet area around the house, mostly national reserve park, we could do a fun activity every day. With as topper the Safari park and the beach at Comporta for a luxury lunch and beach of Santa Andre for a relaxing day. Highly recommended for those wanting a relaxing holiday with family or dear friends.

The place was very clean, comfy and a very comfortable bed. It was perfect for our stay.

Had an amazing time at the lemon tree farm. Was very spontaneously looking for a peaceful weekend in the countryside and got exactly that. Surrounded by the beautiful smell of lemons and with super cute ponies and horses as my neighbors. Jorge was an amazing host and made everything possible even though my stay was super short notice. Would definitely visit again.

My Portuguese home! I stayed for two months - could have stayed longer. The vibe of this place is wonderful, it instantly feels warm and cosy. A place to relax and recalibrate. The gardens are beautiful with lemon trees welcoming you from the entrance, almond trees blossoming and roses surrounding you whilst you dine alfresco. Kathleen was a super host, responsive and attentive. Lilian looked after me on site impeccably, even saving me after I’d locked myself out! Adriano was super friendly when he came weekly to clean the pool and look after the garden. The kitchen is great for home cooking with everything you need. The main shower was delicious and the main bed was like a dream. Everything has been thought about and is setup as a home and not as a airbnb (or hotel). Thanks Kathleen, see you again soon!

A beautiful little farm, very well maintained and tastefully designed. Strader, Laura and their little boy Coyote couldn’t be any friendlier, they are lovely hosts and made us feel right at home. The bed and bedding are super comfortable after travelling for so many hours it was bliss to get into bed! We booked very last minute and they were super responsive. Highly recommend !

Great stay! I strongly recommend this listing. The location is excellent, in a very quiet area and surrounded by nature, providing a perfect environment for relaxing. The space was pristinely clean and very well taken care of. The service was equally fantastic – the host was always very attentive and responded quickly to all questions. Undoubtedly, a great option for those looking for comfort and quiet!

Very nice local house, has everything necessary inside. Host was very friendly and gave lots of local recommendations. House is located in quite neighbourhood with some beautiful views. Perfect if you travel by car, because makes good staring point to explore eastern part of the island.

Our house was Alambique, it matched the description perfectly, all the amenities in it; the bed was very comfortable; fireplace, toilet and a full bathroom, two TVs… the location was very nice and quiet. Definitely super recommended.

A comfortable, clean and well equipped little villa in beautiful surroundings. Extremely peaceful and relaxing and only a short drive to a lovely old town with shops, restaurants and history. Ideally located to explore the area - 30 mins drive to the coast and an hour from the airport. Would highly recommend a stay here if you like to get away from the tourist traps and enjoy being surrounded by nature.

What an incredible stay we had! Francisco and family were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. As others have said, he even brought us fresh bread in the morning, which we combined with local cheese, jam, and a nice Nespresso coffee. All very good but really it was the breakfast setting that made it amazing. Essentially you’re sitting out on a terrace in the sky overlooking the vineyards and the Vale de Mendiz. Stunning! Everywhere you go is a picture taking. The colours in the valley view are constantly changing with the light. Francisco also made recommendations which were very enjoyable outings, e.g. beautiful Casa de Mateus (we had lunch at Bistro Palcio just outside the main gate, try it), winery Quinta de São Luiz (Francisco’s son João recommendation), Pinhão for Douro river boat tour (the drive there along the valley is incredible). Must not forget the family’s happy-go-lucky long haired dachshund Pappy. What a cutie! Merci beaucoup Francisco! Gary & Suzie

We loved staying here and would like to again! The house was just as described and within walking distance to local grocery stores and restaurants. I loved waking up to see the beautiful fog roll in over the mountains and a herd of sheep doing their morning grazing. When it rains you can see the river from the balcony and it creates a relaxing sound. We also enjoyed getting cozy in front of the fireplace at night. More than anything, we appreciated António’s mother, who was very sweet and brought us pastries and chocolates. António was very kind and answered any questions we had right away. His father was nice as well! The cleaning service after two weeks was also a lovely touch. This place is a perfect getaway if you are looking to de-stress and be near nature and friendly people. The only thing I will note is if you are coming in winter it can be a bit cold (not surprising-it is winter!) so bring some warmer comfort clothes to wear around the house.

Very private and peaceful place to be. I enjoyed my two week stay immensely. The grounds are fun to explore and perfectly manicured. The variety of fruit trees growing are quite a treat and everything grown is organic which is special. Joao invites you to sample the same. The accommodations are private and include every amenity you could want and everything was spotless!

Excellent stay! Beautiful charming quaint property. Well maintained. Convenient to a great restaurant next door and right in town. Would recommend to others. Hikes in the surrounding areas are excellent.

Simply amazing stay. The super quiet place, good to escape the rush of the city. The house is extremely clean and corresponds to 100% as the photos. The kitchen is super complete. Mr. Rui was an impeccable host. I've honestly never been in a place so good and complete. Let's no doubt repeat in the summer.
