Places to stay in Furnas

A charming and quiet location with a very nice view from the terrace behind the house. The rooms are furnished and decorated in a personal and comfortable way, the kitchen had all we needed. We found the mattress too soft and the bed could have been a few centimeters wider, but this may be a matter of personal preferences. All in all we had a very enjoyable time here.

Andre has a beautiful home and the location is amazing at the edge of the lake in Sete Cidades! The views from the livingroom, dining room and front porch were amazing of the lake and surrounding mountains! There are many hiking paths to walk to and/ or bike to and/or drive your car to. We just loved all the wood tables, countertop and carvings. Beautiful! The home was well appointed, comfortable and perfect on the lake! There is a very delicious bread kitchen to get fresh out of the oven bread. We were provided with an amazing welcoming basket of goodies that included yogurts, granola, milk, butter, local rosemary honey, local sweet rolls, local pineapple, apples, oranges, local cheese and a bottle of wine!!!! And to top it all off there are bikes and kayaks to use! Definitely recommend staying at Andre’s home!

What a quaint fisherman’s cottage! Access to sea pool just lovely. Our flight was delayed 1 1/2 days and Carlos was right there when we finally arrived! He gave us a whole island tour of ideas. Place is in a delightful neighborhood with a bar/restaurant a few steps away. The location could not have been better! Everything was 45 minutes away, but the city was only 15-20-super easy to go out at night and sight see in the day. House was exactly-no, even cuter in real life. Kitchen has all you need and market is 3 minutes away drive.

Joe is an extremely nice host, and his place is just amazing. It's located right by the ocean, and you can always hear the gorgeous sound of the waves crashing. The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. During our trip, we had some trouble with our rental car, and Joe was very helpful in the situation, which we deeply appreciated. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in São Miguel!

Casa do Cerco is located in a privileged location in the microclimate and peace of Caloura. The house is exactly what we need to feel at home, comfortable, elegant, well-kept, clean, with everything necessary for a short stay. I hope to be back soon.

Elisa and Pawel are very nice and friendly hosts. They shared a very detailed guide to the island. The house is very cozy, a quiet and beautiful place. Twice a week they provide yoga practice, highly recommend visiting

“Compact” apartment but it has everything one needs and is very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed, excellent Internet connection! Beautiful view of the city (south and east). The hosts were reactive and a pleasure to deal with. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood (and a quiet building) with a parking lot across the street. It is a walking distance to the city centre (shops and restaurants) and also to a larger shopping centre. I had a very pleasant stay.
