Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Rockland

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We unexpectedly had beautiful cloudless days most of the week. Great location & easy to get to the Harbor and Southport both of which we enjoyed! Recommend the Carriage House for a really top quality meal as well as Blue Moon Cafe (good lobster roll) which was one of Shirin’s recommendations. Would totally stay here again!!

This place was very nice.. The kitchen was one of the best stacked kitchen I have seen.. It was a straight 40 min drive to Acadia Park. It was a straight drive. So it was worth it. Close to Bar Harbor and Bass Harbor. The house instructions were great. Easy and fast to communicate with host. The host was very helpful to give tips about the area. Very clean house. You do hear road traffic noise from house. It did not bother my wife. But I am a light sleeper so I was aware of it. But still worth it. Host has firewood for sell on property to do fire in fire ring. We did not have fire but nice activity to have available. Very nice and welcoming house. You will enjoy your stay there. Host was very friendly.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at this beautiful home on Springy Pond! The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for a getaway with friends and family. We especially loved the peaceful surroundings and direct access to the lake, kayaking early in the morning and watching the sunrise over the water was absolutely magical. The kitchen was great, making it easy for us to cook and enjoy meals together. It was also a great base for visiting Acadia National Park, which we were able to explore during the day before coming back to relax by the lake in the evening. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic retreat with easy access to outdoor activities. We hope to come back someday!

Arian's place was absolutely beautiful. This home was spotless and they thought of everything. There were books for parents to read, games for kids and adults a like to enjoy, the hot tub was meticulously well kept and so relaxing. Arian was also extremely responsive with whatever needs I had, including when I left something at their home. 100% recommend booking here. We will be going back.

fantastic stay in OOB. Just off of the main street. it's quit no traffic. but down town is right there. a 1 minute walk away we enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. plenty of beds. overall great stay. 100% recommend

We had a wonderful time in Dedham and the Narrows Lake House was a great home base. The lake is absolutely beautiful, and the house is relatively close to Ellsworth and Bangor, as well as Acadia. Really nice place to wake up every morning (with the added plus of a very friendly dog named Miss Aspen who will definitely say hi!). The house is pretty far back on a long and narrow gravel road, so it's not particularly walkable and you'll want to have a car that's at least a little bit suited for it. Our rented minivan was just fine but an older vehicle or one with dim headlights might make it a little tricky. The floors are also quite thin and sound travels downward, so if you have kids or louder members of your group, you'll want to have them stay in the basement if possible. Finally, Colleen was a kind and attentive host! She reached out before the stay, which was very appreciated, and is delightful to talk to. You'll be very well taken care of if anything does happen.

Beautiful and cozy place and very responsive and accommodating host. Place is 30 mins drive from bar harbor and Acadia . The river down the house is an additional beauty in its own. The place had everything you need. The care the host took for arranging everything is really appreciated.

Delightful place to stay in Portlands West end. It is easy walking distance to everywhere…. downtown and even the East side. Great restaurants in the neighborhood from breakfast to dinner. The apartment was immaculate and was stocked with just about everything you’d need. The shared yard was charming and felt very private. We have family in the area and I hope we can stay there again and again. It was much more comfortable than a B & B. Lorie was very responsive to anything you might need.

Great apartment in a very walkable part of Portland, a perfect location for exploring the city. It was clean & spacious with a very comfortable bed and we appreciated the off-street parking. The owner Jeff and his wife are very friendly and served us a fantastic meal at their small brewpub downstairs. I normally wouldn’t choose a rental above a pub, but theirs closes at 9pm every night, so noise wasn’t an issue at all. Would highly recommended this unit for a stay in Portland.

The place was amazing, such a great find! The hosts laid out check-in and check-out instructions very clearly and offered an abundance of amenities to make our stay more enjoyable. They offered toiletries, tide pods, cooking spices, coffee, books- the list could really go on and on. It really felt like a home away from home! Thank you to our wonderful hosts, we hope to visit again!!

Had a lovely and comfortable stay with my husband, infant and dog. Plenty of space for everyone and was easy to set up a travel crib in the living room. Dog bowls and toys were also appreciated! Great shower pressure, too. Nice area for walking around, and plenty of good restaurants (most pet friendly outdoors) and breweries just a few minutes away. Heidi also accommodated a late checkout request which was so nice since it was Mother’s Day! Parking wasn’t too bad considering it was the weekend, we never had to look for a spot for more than a few minutes. Would recommend!

I had an amazing stay! Rachael was a very responsive host, and was very helpful throughout my stay. The location was quiet but within driving distance of all the things I wanted to do, and it matched all my expectations based on the listing. If I’m ever back in the area, I would certainly love to stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the desert of Maine! Our a frame was so adorable and the giant window allows you to feel fully immersed in nature. My husband and I always enjoy a fire pit, which we had right outside of our cabin. Would definitely come back!

We have stayed at Jackies place twice now and enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Even though it rained for two days the house is plenty big enough to spread out. We had to change our reservation days twice because of circumstances and Jackie was very accomidating..

Our stay at the cabin was perfect! My boyfriend and I wanted somewhere we could stay with our dog and go hiking in Acadia National Park. The cabin is a short drive to many of the best hiking trails and only a 25 min drive to Bar Harbor. It’s in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that we were able to walk our dog around. The cabin itself was the perfect size for us and was very comfortable. The grill was great and we cooked out on it almost every night. We had everything we could think of there, and it truly felt like home for the week that we were there. The house manual had great recommendations for the area. We can’t wait to come back.

What a wonderful cabin on the river! The property is private and welcoming and the small beach on the river was perfect for lounging and reflecting. I described our stay to my wife as "a Spring cleaning of the Soul." The place was spotless and even the woodstove glass was cleaned! We loved this location and will keep it in our favorites for the future.

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! We loved staying at the cabin! It was 2 adults and one infant, and we had plenty of space to setup a pack n play for the baby to sleep. It was very clean, even for such an old cabin. The heat worked good since it was still cold in April. Lisa came over to introduce herself and asked if we needed anything, super friendly. It’s perfect for a short stay with a small family/couple. Just remember to bring your own towels :) The front porch with the rocking chairs is awesome as well. We will stay here again the next time we are in the Skowhegan area!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this charming camp on Webb Lake, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The serene setting was perfect for enjoying the outdoors together. We spent our time fishing on the beautiful lake, where we caught a handful of fish. Kayaking was a highlight as well; the combination of being on the lake, mountain views and beautiful weather was simply magical. The camp itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing a wonderful weekend getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway filled with outdoor fall activities, this is the place to be.
