Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Knox County

This was our first trip to Maine's Mid-Coast and we fell in love! This home was in the perfect location! Very close by to Owl's Head, Rockland, Camden and Port Clyde! We were all able to spread out and feel at home. We even cooked fresh Maine lobsters and steamers (end of Dec) we got from Jess's! in the kitchen. The little ones loved the fun games in the lower-level! We'll most definitely be back!

Fantastic place to rent, I fully recommend it! It was winter, and I’m a solitary person. Linda and Frank respected that while still unobtrusively checking on me to make sure I had what I needed. I’m a weaver, Linda is a quilter and we had really enjoyable conversations. She had great recommendations for yarn and consignment shops (another passion of mine and there are some fine ones around). I will come back when life slows. Linda and Frank, wholehearted thanks to you both!

We had such a good time! Lots of space, kid friendly, well equipped kitchen, beautiful location by the water. Host communication was great. Hope to stay again sometime!

Despite rain everyday, we enjoyed our stay very much. We are 3 women in our 60's and appreciated having our own rooms. We were out alot, but always felt comfortable when we returned. The home is so close to Rockland and the wonderful restaurants. We are sure if the weather was better, we would have enjoyed the water view so much more. Was skeptical about cleanliness due to the fact that animals are allowed. But to our surprise, the home was extremely clean. Would never know animals had been inside. And for those traveling with animals, there is a very nice fenced area for your pet. We traveled to Maine for a Celebration of Life for a family member. The home is located right next to a cemetery, but found that ironically comforting as our Family name was featured on one of the primary headstones. And, on the day of the Celebration, we were visited by a red cardinal sitting on the rail of the deck. It didn't linger long, long enough for each of us to see it. Would stay here again!!

This was one of best AirBnB experiences any of us had ever had! The house is adorable and sparkling clean. We had thoughtful and attentive hosts in a beautiful town in a beautiful state. On one of the best nights of our stay we cooked in using a remarkably well equipped kitchen, ate dinner in the lovely yard at the picnic table and sat by the fire pit talking into the night, firewood provided by Tammie. It was a magical. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed a 5 day stay in Owls Head . Our hosts thought of everything … from a picnic cooler to ice packs readied in the freezer . A binder full of recommendations as well.

5 Stars – Wonderful Stay! Treetop Vista was an absolute delight! The home’s layout is perfectly designed to maximize the stunning views, making it easy to relax and take in the natural beauty. Everything was spotless. Gretchen and Mark were exceptional hosts, incredibly kind and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Treetop Vista to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We hope to return soon!

Very responsive, helpful host. House is well-cared for. Bedrooms/beds are very comfortable; bedding was clean and also comfortable. Dining room holds 8 comfortably. Kitchen stove is remarkable, and the kitchen space easily accommodates two people cooking and another preparing drinks, helping, or just hanging out. Nice neighborhood and easy walk to downtown. Photos on listing are accurate. Highly recommend!

Our stay this year was just as delightful and comfortable as it was a year ago. The house is a beautifully preserved 19th century captain’s house with attractive furnishings and pictures, and plenty of room for the four of us. The kitchen is well laid out and superbly equipped. George is an attentive and friendly host; we appreciated that he made a special effort to meet us and we enjoyed our conversation with him.

We had a very wonderful stay in Camden!! The apartment was spacious and had everything you needed. Very kind hosts and lovely area🩷💛🧡

Nice place to stay for a short weekend visit. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was cold and rainy when we stayed, and the heating system worked very well, which I appreciated!

This adorable addition to the family’s quaint farmhouse was cozy, warm and immaculately clean. Every detail was spot on. Kitchen was fully functional, as if you were in your own home. Luxurious linens and towels. Bed was very comfortable. Met all of our expectations and more! Beautiful property and close to Camden Harbour.

We loved staying at Frank and Michaelanne's place in Rockland! They are wonderful and thoughtful hosts. Communication was easy, they shared their favorite local recommendations with us, and there were many small details that made our stay even better. One example - I was delighted to wake up on our first morning in town and realize there was coffee ground and ready to make. The location is great! The view of the water (and the sunrise for early risers) was a nice surprise and the harbor walk is very close. We also enjoyed walking into downtown Rockland and exploring. We had a very comfortable stay (my husband asked Frank for the name of the mattress, he had slept so well) and we would definitely stay here again.

Abby’s place is in a peaceful wooded coastal setting and in a great location for exploring the mid-Maine and Rockland areas. We felt right at home with everything we needed, even for steaming a few lobsters fresh off the boat at Owls Head Lobster. The bed was super cozy and comfortable. The view of bay gave us some wonderful sunrises. There was lots to see and do in Rockland, Tomaston, and Camden which are all nearby. We highly recommend staying at Abby’s place.

A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. I’ll be back next year! Thank you for everything, Lori!

What a wonderful spot! Gorgeous, quiet pond and relaxing wood fired sauna. Rheanna is a super responsive and helpful host. We'll be back! Just FYI - this cabin is a "three season" structure. Although it was super comfortable, it felt a little more like camping than we originally expected with some cool nights and mornings, a few insect frinds, and a short walk to the shared bathrooms and kitchen area.

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! Loved her place!! Was an amazing getaway for me and my kids, my toddler loved the bed being up high! The amenities were all spot on! The fire pit, kitchen supplies, bathroom, beds. And is walkable to the town area, with coffee shop and restaurants. The river sound to sleep was great!!!

Masha's oasis cabin was just what we needed this weekend. It was so peaceful and private. No lights- just stars, no wifi- just connecting with each other. Masha was such a thoughtful host as well and made sure to check in with us to make sure we didn't need anything else. The cabin is also about an hour and a half from Acadia which makes for the perfect day trip!

Spent a relaxing long weekend at the cabin. Idyllic location right on the water with plenty to do outside. We enjoyed making fires, fishing, and exploring in the canoe. Inside, the cabin was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Camden is nearby for a nice dinner or a stroll and shopping downtown. Acadia is also close enough for a day trip. Checkin/checkout was very straightforward, and the host was helpful and quick to answer any questions. Hope to visit again!

The cabin was great!! Very homey and spotless!!! We cooked breakfast just about every morning!! Perfect simple dishes and utensils to use!!! Place is very centrally located along the coast. Nice lil Shops and restaurants around!! Another plus was the cable tv!!

This was a truly magical stay! Peaceful, private, comfortable… The most well thought out and welcoming off-grid lodging I’ve ever stayed in! The cabin itself is spectacular and the surrounding garden and forest are just enchanted. Rod was an incredible host, responsive and so accommodating when I needed to shift my reservation. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Don’t even hesitate on this one!
