We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

5* reviews & views, nr Ullswater, M6 15mins

MikeRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Lovely accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Claire is a great host with lots of suggestions for the local area. We enjoyed the local pub and being able to access multiple walks right from the front door. Also within easy driving distance of all that the Lakes has to offer and a cosy, homely place to come back to after a long day of walking! Highly recommended for a peaceful break in the Lakes away from the crowds!

Mary Meadows - Character Lakeland Barn Conversion

PeterRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Mary Meadows barn is a beautiful place to stay -cosy, comfortable and very clean. With parking straight outside the front door, the village of Dockray is extremely peaceful and within walkable distance to the shores of Ullswater. The kitchen is very well equipped for 'stay at home' cooking after a days walking and sightseeing, with an outdoor space to sit and enjoy the stunning view of neighbouring farmland, with sheep and horses grazing in the nearby fields. A very charming location with friendly locals, we would highly recommend Joanne's property. The perfect base to explore this most picturesque part of the country.

The Bothy - secluded in The Lake District

KirstyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Loved our stay in the Bothy. Rebecca gave great recommendations on local places to eat and the bothy itself was homely and the perfect base to explore the Lake District from. We loved how cosy the Bothy was and all of the details like the blankets and log burner were very welcome after a day of hiking.

We had a delightful stay in the converted barn. It was so impressive to see the photos of Angela and Wayne's efforts in the instruction book and really appreciated all the information and communication provided. Beds were comfortable, we were warm and all amenities were perfect for what we needed. We definitely want to return one day and will recommend to friends!

Whiteside Farm Granary - Hot tub - Dog friendly

JennyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
One of our favourite Airbnb getaways (and we've had lots!) Clear instructions of how to get to the property, left to our own devices, I actually really liked the fact it was on a running farm - a tractor went by, but I enjoyed it. The surroundings were stunning and the hot tub was very well received. I loved the little extra bed/corner area for reading/watching TV etc in the bedroom. All the amenities you could possibly need. We are only gutted we booked one night! We would love to come back here!!!

The Barn

AdamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The reviews did not lie! Pat and Neil were extremely welcoming and helpful when it came down to suggesting local walks, places to eat etc. We would really recommend the Aira force/Ullswater walk! They also introduced their dog Bob to our nervous dog which ensured our girl had a much more relaxing and enjoyable time. The barn was very spacious with a gorgeous fire which made for a very cosy feel. The bed was exactly what everyone had described it as, extremely comfy! The garden was lovely and big which extended the enjoyment of our dog. The whole barn was spotless and we couldn’t fault a thing inside. We would really recommend this stay and hope to return again in the not so distant future. Thanks once again Pat and Neil :)

Barn conversion on farm in beautiful countryside

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely few days away here, we especially enjoyed the large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge space. We relaxed in the evenings and made the most of the lovely accomodation and spent our days exploring places we had not been to before. We did Holy Island and other stops along the coastal road and had a day in Newcastle. We drove to the metro centre and got the train in which was very easy to do. Helpful and friendly host, thank you for the treats and eggs on arrival. We would recommend a stay here to anyone interested 😊

The Byre at Hole House

JamesRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is the 2nd time staying at Emma’s , I stayed last year around the same time. The cottage is tucked away in the countryside not far from Penrith and the M6 motorway, it’s such a peaceful location. When I got there just after 3pm the cottage was warm and very cleans, in fact spotless !. The kitchen and bathroom use quality fittings and the walk in shower is wonderful (I must get one in my home). The bed is very nice, the mattress is perfect has is the bedding. The tv is small but has a brilliant picture and has a hdmi port for a streaming stick if you have one also the DAB radio is great . The biggest surprise is the speed of the wifi I got about 450mbps down and the same up, not what you expect in the countryside !. Emma left me a pint of milk, bread, homemade cake and a bottle of wine. Last year I stayed 3 nights but this time I stayed 5 nights which tells you everything !

We had an amazing stay at this warm and cozy place with fabulous view! The host gave very clear instructions and we did not have difficulty finding the place. He also made checkin very easy. The place was very spacious for our party of 5 adults and 2 kids. There were many books, toys and games which we and the kids enjoyed using. Kitchen was very well equipped. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Cosy Cottage near Cockermouth, Western Lakes

RyanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an excellent 4 night stay at Andrew and Lynn’s. A very easy and flexible check in made for a relaxing arrival. A warm cosy cottage with a wood burner and plenty of character. Outdoor area is an added bonus if the weather is right! Pardshaw is a superb location and only a short drive from Loweswater. The cumbrian coast is also not far away for those who are drawn to it. Thanks for an excellent stay.

Garrs End Laithe – Barn conversion, Grassington

KarenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our family of 4 enjoyed our cozy break at Garrs End Laithe. As previous reviewers have said, the barn was perfect in terms of facilities, cleanliness and location. We loved accessing the beautiful Dales straight from our doorstep as well as pubs, tea shops and eateries - without needing to get in the car. Fish & chips, R bar, Craven Arms and Gordale Scar were particular highlights, as was Karen’s helpful local advice, lemon drizzle cake and even the loan of a food processor! A fabulous property and all round experience!

The Mews, cosy barn for 2-4 people.

JordanRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Beautifully converted barn which had everything we required. We travelled as two couples, an infant less than 1 year old and a dog and it felt home from home. The surrounding views and views from the property is breath taking. We would highly recommend. Car is required to travel to local town, shops and pub.
