Vacation rentals with breakfast in River Eden

Excellent place to stay for large parties. Loads of room and amenities were excellent. The host is great at answering any questions. We will definitely stay again as location is perfect.

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

Myles and his little place was excellent, location was great parking was about 100m away and a reasonable price, Myles answered my emails promptly and everything he said was accurate. I would definitely recommend this place again if I am in the village visiting friends again I would have no reservations about rebooking Thanks Myles great host great place could not have asked for more

We had a wonderful time staying with Sarah and Mark. Absolutely lovely home and friendly, welcoming hosts. The studio is stunning and comfortable. It was a lovely touch that breakfast was included. We felt so at home and comfortable here and quickly made friends with dog and toddler! We loved it here.

This is such a wonderful place! It is charming, cozy and beautifully decorated. It is perfectly located to explore the Northern Fells of the Lake District with beautiful scenery all around. The house itself was perfect in every way and the owners were very generous with little touches around the house, with bread and milk on arrival, food for breakfast and much more. The fire was set for us and there were lots of fresh flowers. This is a great place to stay and we had an amazing weekend there.

A beautiful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. A great place for a meeting amongst friends. Plenty of space, extra blankets for cold nights and a fire to keep warm. An amazing authentic experiences which was loved by all of us. This was a place to remember. Thanks.

The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Close to Derwent water. Lots of space in the house so you don’t feel crowded. We walked along the shore of Lake Derwent and then took a boat trip from Keswick. Perfect mini break just what we needed.

Wow, what a great studio. The ensuite bedroom is fantastic and the bath is so luxurious. The kitchen has everything you need and the lounge is lovely and relaxing. Just a short stroll and you are in the centre of Hexham for bars, cafes and restaurants. It's also a great base for exploring g the wider Northumberland countryside. We will definitely be looking to return again soon. Thanks for hosting us.

Zoe’s place was great, we stayed here the night before the Dirty Reiver bike race and she facilitated us securely storing our bikes as well as giving us a really great dinner recommendation. The property is set in absolutely stunning surroundings too!

Julie is a friendly host. Extremely helpful. Lovely cozy annexe with everything supplied. Tea, coffee and eggs . Bread and milk too . Excellent cake too. Right on Pennine Way. Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful cottage in great location in the centre of town and handy for the Lakes. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with lots of lovely touches like a beautiful bunch of flowers and goodies on arrival. Highly recommended.

What a lovely find for a last minute get away. Very easy to book and communication was excellent. We were greeted by Martin, who offered to help with our luggage, quirky followed by Howard. Both hosts were friendly, chatty and welcoming and were available if we needed anything during our stay. Howie provided us with a parking permit, a bargain at £5 and Martin showed us to our suite to make sure we were happy. Recommendations for places to visit were also given The suite was spotless and had everything we needed for our short stay. Bed was super comfy, fluffy towels and it was great to have a living area to relax when we returned later in the evening. On leaving the following morning, Martin came to say bye and again offered to carry our luggage. We had a lovely time, great hosts and will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thanks Martin and Howie.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Motherby House and am so grateful to the hosts, Jacquie and David, for making me feel so welcome. They’re both kind and engaging—and they gave me some great recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area. Breakfast was delicious and Jacquie kindly made me a tasty packed lunch for my hike! I’d be very happy to stay here again.

Beautiful warm clean accommodation . The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Bathroom was large, very clean and hot water. Julie left us a wide choice of breakfast including vegan, lovely. Very private and quiet, parking. Attention to detail was great “sheep” .

Fantastic place to stay in the Lake Distric. We went with our own car and there is private parking at the place itself. It is close to the main beautiful towns, lakes and mountains of the district, fitting every plan you might have around the area. We cannot speak about public transport from our own experience. Stuff was so welcoming, communication was so easy and they were giving us advice on the possible plans around the area, making us feel at home. We will definetly come back on our next visit to the district.

Had a peaceful nights sleep, Jacqueline and Geoff are friendly warm welcoming hosts. And Geoffs home made granola was heavenly, thank you so so much. The room was warm cosy perfect 💚✨🌳

Perfect location and accommodation for us on our Pennine Way walk. Train to Settle was really useful to get supplies for the rest of our walk.

If you want a really homey, quiet base to do hikes from AND several really good farm-to-table vegetarian restaurants all within 15-min. drive, this is the place for you. I stayed 4 days with Bren in her home and felt very at home. She even made me vegetarian breakfasts each morning. Comfy bed, sunny room, excellent shower and a tub if you like to soak. Really good WiFi! and super friendly neighbors whom I met. Bren is super communicative, had great suggestions for places to visit and hikes to take. Would totally stay with her again.

The room and bathroom were really clean and comfortable. The bedroom itself is small, but very well set up to be as convenient as possible (extensions leads to be able to charge phones by the bed, plenty of hooks on the wall) and we were offered the choice to leave luggage in another room if needed (we didn’t have much so didn’t need to). Christine and David were very welcoming and helpful, they welcomed us into their home and offered advice for somewhere to eat but we didn’t feel that they “smothered” us too much. Nice continental breakfast in the morning.

Really lovely place, right in the heart of the peaks, Jill and Steve are clearly really passionate about the local area and gave us lots of tips. Very genuine and active hosts. The cooked breakfast was perfect the day after a long day doing the 3 peaks challenge! Can also highly recommend pie at the Station Inn just up the road! Leah :)
