Farmstay vacation rentals in River Eden

This cosy one bedroom annex was exactly as promised in the description. We loved the cottage and its location and had a great few days exploring Littondale and Upper Wharfedale. Carole made us feel very welcome and we’d love to return one day.

Lovely Airbnb for a couple, plenty of space. The kitchen is small but still a very functional space. Part baked bread for sandwiches cooked easily in the microwave oven. Madonna was very helpful and gave us very clear instructions so the Airbnb was easy to find, even in the dark. We had an issue with the hot water not working when we arrived, however I contacted Madonna and her husband came to fix it even though it was nearly midnight, so we could shower before bed. Great communication and a lovely location with great access to Wasdale, which was as beautiful as I remember it!

Lovely stay at Lind end cottage, beautiful scenery and a cosy cottage. Janet was very welcoming and made me feel very welcome and at home, thoroughly enjoyed having a chat with Janet. Nice and quiet and out of the way but still within a small driving distance from Coniston or Windermere. Will definitely be looking to come and stay again.

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

What a perfect place to stay with all of the family from 11 months to 80+yrs of age. Accessibility for my mum was excellent with walk in showers and sofa chairs easy to get in and out of. A travel cot and high chair provided for the youngest member of the family. A dishwasher including the tablets along with a fully equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub ideal with a glass of wine or too. Our two dogs enjoyed lots of walks and it was brilliant that the garden was fully enclosed and safe for them too. Sarah the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, little touches like jigsaws and board games where available and the barn had been decorated for Christmas to make you feelst home. The barn was in a beautiful location with lots of walks and a local pub ( booking is essential). If your into astronomy go to Grassholme Observatory I learnt so much and the dark skies are awesome. We had a lovely New Years break and would highly recommended Sunrise Barn for families.

We had a truly lovely stay at this comfortable and pristine clean cottage, hidden away in a peaceful location with stunning views in every direction. It’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking fresh air, tranquility, and access to a range of beautiful hikes and cozy local pubs. We spent two nights here and didn’t want to leave! Lynda and Fraser were incredibly helpful and accommodating, and recommended a stunning walk to Cautley Spout, which quickly became a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this gem of a place — we’ll definitely be back!

The check-in process was effortless, with the key conveniently left on the door—completely hassle-free. Booking the boat with Rob was straightforward, and his clear, brilliant demonstration made it easy for us to operate the boat independently. A big thanks to Jonathon and Rob for making our experience so seamless and enjoyable!

Really enjoyed staying in the pod, the location is absolutely perfect and incredibly peaceful. Adam and Emma were great hosts and were really accommodating responding to any queries instantly. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing get away.

A great place to stay, clean and tastefully decorated. Well equipped kitchen that it was a pleasure to cook in. Would definitely choose again if returning to area. We spent much time simply watching the sheep, chickens and horse :) An ideal getaway.

Had a gorgeous stay at the garden rooms. The hut is immaculately done out, with lots of thoughtful little touches that really add to the experience. The setting is super peaceful and private, so it is the perfect quiet escape. All info from the hosts was clear and Sarah was very helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to return! Thank you.

Hi Reg and Lynn, From Darren, Vic and Charlie, we want to say a massive thank you for your hospitality, your kindness and allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage. we've had the best few days in a long time and felt part of your wonderful family whilst allowing us space and privacy to truly relax. we'd like to thank you also for the little extras we found upon arrival which were most thoughtful and kind. We struggled to leave this morning and the love you've all put into the cottage was felt from the second we walked through the door. I really don't think the photos do justice to the beauty and charm. The local walks are wonderful, the beach is an absolute delight, you've made everything perfect for us and hope we'll be back one day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, it's been the most perfect of breaks Darren, Vic and a truly tired Charlie x

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

This is a really lovely "cabin"........spotlessly clean , with all necessary equipment and very friendly host. Knowledge of the area was readily available and the newborn lambs provided plenty of entertainment . Mixed weather for our 3 night stay, but we were really cosy . Ideal area to explore , being so near the Yorkshire Dales and also within easy drive to the popular towns and villages of the Lake District. Tina was a great host. Responsive and very accommodating and friendly. The accommodation was homely and well equipped with everything we could need for a walking holiday with our family and our dog and there was a secured garden that our children and the dog could enjoy (and us a gin and tonic in the sun!)

We had a brilliant time at Emma’s place! It was wonderfully located, peaceful and the surroundings were just stunning! The Airbnb itself was clean, it had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. We really appreciated the brownies and coffee upon arrival and enjoyed reading her collection of local books! Emma was very friendly, accommodating and communicated well throughout. We could have happily stayed longer and if we’re ever back around the area, we will definitely book again! Highly recommended!

I had the most incredible stay at this unique Airbnb in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales! The location is simply stunning, completely isolated with no phone signal, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you're looking for tranquility, this is it. Last minute decision to have a night away and Toms place was spot on! Perfect peaceful location, the annexe is gorgeous with everything we could need. The hot tub was dreamy even in the drizzle as the sun went down over the fields. Tom was a great host firing up the hot tub for us and recommending the fabulous Crown Inn for a great dinner! Thank you!

A really lovely property full of character. It was even nicer than the photos suggest. Rebecca was very helpful and allowed us access to one of her fields where we could let our dog off his lead. The scenery was stunning and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (the dog included, although he was exhausted from having so much space to run around in). The property is well located for visits to the surrounding tourist attractions, and lovely to retreat to after a day of sight seeing.

Had a wonderful stay at Maria's. She made us feel right at home, gave us local recommendations and made us crack a smile with her tips and humour. The accommodation was spotless, nice and quiet too which was a bonus as my dog can be a little noise reactive at times so busy lake district accommodation never suits her well. The farm is located only a short walk from a local pub and several great walks. We stayed in the western lakes to avoid the Easter traffic and crowds and got some amazing walks done based on Maria's recommendations. The TV worked well, we cooked each day with the ample kitchen facilities and had a lovely hot shower after our long walks. Great stay highly recommended!
