Wonderful getaway in Iceland

ColleenRating, 5 stars20 months ago
I've stayed at hundreds of airbnbs and I can tell you you will not find a better host. Stefanie truly looks out for you. She texted me when a storm was coming so I was prepared and not on the roads. She asked how I was doing. It was very clear if I needed anything she was there and that meant so much to me. Her place is such a sanctuary! So cozy and hygge. Highly recommend.

Designer bungalow close to the city

Such a beautiful place tucked in the mountains. We were not expecting the physical beauty that surrounded us. Perfect size for a damily of 5. Would definitely recommend if you want to be outside of the city. About a 45 minute drive to downtown Rekyjavic.

Small and cosy apartment in 101

JorisRating, 5 stars29 months ago
Very cozy stay in an appartment that breathes authenticity more than other places do. Amids the rather bland stays Reykjavik has to offer, this place looks good, has a nice colour and is located just far enough from the more busy streets. Inside is a comfy living room with an above-average sized kitchen. We stayed in low season (read: darkness) but this place lights up real nice. The attic can be a bit cold if you don’t turn on the electric heater, but to be honest that cold makes for a perfect night sleep so we left it off. Before entering the appartment there is a shared hallway, which works well for storing coats and shoes. For those with sensitive ears: perhaps stating the obvious, but I would not claim the place is 100% soundproof. There are no loud noises in the area, but your co-traveller might produce them. Hilda was 👌. Great communicator, responsive and kind. Thanks!

Cosy and quiet house in the heart of Reykjavík

MeganRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Where to start? This is perhaps the best AirBnB I've ever stayed in – and I've been using this platform for years. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with free beverages in the fridge, and the apartment was warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, unlike some apartments which just have the bare necessities. And the bathroom was a luxury to use. We stayed for a whole month, and the Wi-Fi was excellent too (perfect for working from home). Agust was responsive, proactive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was top notch. The location is perfect, and you will not find a better value month-long stay in 101.

Peaceful Mountain View Cottage with Hot Tub

JenRating, 5 stars7 months ago
My husband and I wanted to get away from the city and out in the country. This was the perfect place for us. The scenery around the cabin is breathtaking. We enjoyed the hottub and we're also able to view the Northern Lights on a few nights. The amenities inside were perfect and just what we needed. I was a little apprehensive about the shower being outside in a separate building, at first, but the water was hot and the pressure was excellent. Our stay was perfect and the communication with Vidar was top notch. Such a beautiful place.

Our stay was memorable, and Jóhanna made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The space is well-decorated, charming, and tidy with a cozy cabin ambiance. The area has a countryside feel, surrounded by mountains, open space, and greenery while only a ten to fifteen-minute drive from the city. This Air BNB was a highlight of our trip, and we'd certainly stay here again!

Adorable Tiny House in Reykjavik,FREE parking, wifi

We had a great stay at the tiny home! Everything was clean and had exactly what we needed. The kitchen had the perfect amount of things to make a few meals easily. We enjoyed the hot tub and saw the northern lights while relaxing—it was amazing! Safe neighborhood with a great walking path behind it (It still feels private even with the walking path nearby). Check in was easy with a lock box and parking was easy as well. We loved our stay!

Cozy Cabin in Hveragerði with hot tub

RobynRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had the BEST stay at Kristine’s cabin! It’s in a sweet small town situated in a perfect location for Golden Circle exploration. It’s so clean and decorated beautifully, and it’s up above the town center so it’s private and so peaceful. Kristine went above and beyond with a sweet welcome of fresh flowers and treats; we felt so at home! The space is perfect for a small family of 3, and the hot tub was the best end of a day. We already want to come back!

Charming Studio Suite in the Green Town of the Capital

TracyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Wow! What a fabulous stay, our first in Iceland! This was a first trip in a long time without our teenage children and it allowed us to look for a property that would accommodate only the two of us. We both loved the rental. It was an easy, beautiful 50-minute or so drive from the international airport and only about 15 minutes to drive into the capital where we had other worldly meals in the evenings among other cultural stops. Approaching the rental, there are beautiful mountains flanking one side of the road and a lovely church at the top of a hill on the other side. The area was peaceful and quiet. We discovered a nearby bakery for daily breakfasts (Mossfellsbakeri) that is heaven.on.earth. The rental was immaculate, the bed was SO comfortable, the decor beautiful, the tub a treat. We have been long-time Airbnb renters and this experience was truly a standout. Helga was so friendly, responsive & helpful! I hope we will return to stay here again sooner vs later!
