Our stay at Eyjólfurs airbnb was great. The cottage is exactly as described. Its not too big, but big enough for two people. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are very comfortable, the TV has all the streaming services you need. The outside space is very spacious and the view, just amazing. Would definitely recommend this airbnb if you are looking for some peace and quiet and dont mind a longer drive to the city.

Small little cozy place to stay by the harbor. Lots of natural light and pretty walkable to some local businesses.

Excellent accommodation, total change of scenery due to the location "in the heart of nature". Exceptional views with large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking nature.

Great stay and nearby to several small towns. Great experience trail riding with horses and great to see the stars and sky at night

This is sincerely such a great stay. EXCEPTIONALLY clean which I appreciated so much. Kitchen & bathroom are just as pictures and description! Extremely peaceful & serene… although it was dark when we arrived it was super super easy to find and navigate. Only con I can think of is that the hot tub geothermal water is EXTREMELY hot so fill it and then wait a few hours to use, which is something I was unaware of. Sabine, thank you so so much for the amazing stay!! We loved it.

Stay was amazing and super cute! Beautiful views, great hot tub and such a cozy place. Great location and easy to travel out east to Vik or to start the Golden Circle from. Host was incredibly responsive and sent over amazing local recommendations that we were able to use. Great Airbnb -- would definitely come back here if we revisit Iceland.

We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

We are very happy that we have chosen this airbnb for our stay. The communication with Þröstur & Kristín was great, they answered very quickly and kindly helped us with everything we needed. Also the location close to the Golden Circle is perfect for short daytrips to some of Islands most famous destinations. We can fully recommend this accomodation.

Loved this cabin in the middle of nowhere, I loved Iceland in general, such a beautiful, peaceful country. Will be back soon.

Loved our stay for the few nights we were there. Check in was easy and there is a lot of nice places locally, both for food and exploring. Made a great place to start as we travelled and explored the south of the island! A great place to stay!

The description corresponds with the advertisement. Kristin sent very detailed instructions how to get to her house! Very much appreciated. The house is located in a very quiet and beautiful environment.

This is the only Airbnb in the entire world that we've returned to a second time, and wholeheartedly recommend it. Since both trips were in the winter, we planned on enjoying time after sunset cooking together. The thoughtful layout of this home with the open kitchen-dining-living room was perfect. And of course the location is 15 minutes from Selfoss for easy grocery store runs, and plenty of sights within 45 min. Hot tub and sauna were both lovely while our baby napped - seeing the Northern Lights from the warm sauna was unforgettable. Other little things that felt especially luxurious to us: soft throws for the couch, fluffy duvets, extra towels, and just being well stocked (glassware, serving platters, teas, fancy salts, many spices, candles, games, firewood, WD-40). The owners went out of their way to borrow a high chair for us, and even put an adorable pillow and tiny duvet in the crib. Thank you for an amazing second home for the week, we will always treasure the memories!

The cabin is small but cosy and well equipped. The location is stunning. Best to get there in daylight on first visit as a small track off the road leads to the cabin which could be tricky to find in the dark. We were hoping to see the northern lights but unfortunately it was too cloudy during our visit - maybe next time!!

We had a wonderful cosy stay here and found the accommodation very comfortable. We were traveling as a family, 2 adults and 2 kids (3 & 6) The kids absolutely loved the outdoor space and the many games to play with and enjoyed spotting and hearing the ptarmigans and other birds that came to visit the garden. The hot tub is a very relaxing place to enjoy the amazing views all around. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora on 2 nights which was fantastic. We would definitely recommend this beautiful accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing time with incredible views yet not too far from towns and other sightseeing opportunities. We hope to be back one day.

Absolutely LOVELY tucked away spot to stay in Iceland during a solo road trip for two nights. Cozy and safe—I had a stunning view of the Northern Lights. Don’t miss walking down the street to the Red House for dinner.

We enjoyed our stay here so much - and will be back! We stopped at the Greenhouse Food Court about 5 minutes away for dinner before check-in and had a great dinner. They even packaged up a couple of cocktails to-go, which we brought to the cabin with us. The hot tub was fantastic - the views amazing - just so great!

Absolutely beautiful location and perfect for the golden circle The accomodation was perfect for us. Freyjs communicated well with us and we'd definitely stay here again. A gem. If the weather is kind, the sunset on the lake is awesome

Wow! What a fabulous stay, our first in Iceland! This was a first trip in a long time without our teenage children and it allowed us to look for a property that would accommodate only the two of us. We both loved the rental. It was an easy, beautiful 50-minute or so drive from the international airport and only about 15 minutes to drive into the capital where we had other worldly meals in the evenings among other cultural stops. Approaching the rental, there are beautiful mountains flanking one side of the road and a lovely church at the top of a hill on the other side. The area was peaceful and quiet. We discovered a nearby bakery for daily breakfasts (Mossfellsbakeri) that is heaven.on.earth. The rental was immaculate, the bed was SO comfortable, the decor beautiful, the tub a treat. We have been long-time Airbnb renters and this experience was truly a standout. Helga was so friendly, responsive & helpful! I hope we will return to stay here again sooner vs later!

Great overall, everything one needs. Would recommend! The floor heating, whirlpool and privacy were definitely the Highlights. The moon shines very bright right into the cabin and it was hard to see any polar lights. Just for your information, nothing the hosts can do about it :D
