Great stay, clean and nice. Friendly hosts. The rain had washed away the road making the last mile rather tricky on the dirt road, but otherwise a lovely stay!

Field Art Room Guesthouse 6. Country Life Style

SamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A stunning and peaceful retreat with everything you need for a perfect base to explore the golden circle and Icelands dramatic south coast. We had 2 nights at Akurgerdi and loved sitting in the hot tub with a glass of fizz, watching the horses in the field. On the second night we walked down the road to the Viking restaurant and had a fabulous meal in quite spectacular surroundings! Would highly recommend. That night we sat in the hot tub again and watched the most incredible northern lights display right overhead for a good half an hour! Unforgettable memories. Thanks to the hosts for a wonderful stay!

We have booked this tiny house far in advance because of my moms 60th birthday! My Mom, my sister and I had the most amazing time even though we had 3 days rain in a row! The house is perfect & Anton has checked on us several times! Its a perfect spot to stay in quiet and pure nature! We can definitely recommend the sand dunes which was our favorite spot! We even got the chance to see some nothern lights from the bedroom! Loved it & we can recommend this a 100%!

Front Lake A-frame Cabin with extra hut.

MikhailRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

Modern Luxury Villa in South Iceland

CheriRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This is the only Airbnb in the entire world that we've returned to a second time, and wholeheartedly recommend it. Since both trips were in the winter, we planned on enjoying time after sunset cooking together. The thoughtful layout of this home with the open kitchen-dining-living room was perfect. And of course the location is 15 minutes from Selfoss for easy grocery store runs, and plenty of sights within 45 min. Hot tub and sauna were both lovely while our baby napped - seeing the Northern Lights from the warm sauna was unforgettable. Other little things that felt especially luxurious to us: soft throws for the couch, fluffy duvets, extra towels, and just being well stocked (glassware, serving platters, teas, fancy salts, many spices, candles, games, firewood, WD-40). The owners went out of their way to borrow a high chair for us, and even put an adorable pillow and tiny duvet in the crib. Thank you for an amazing second home for the week, we will always treasure the memories!

Cozy Cabin in Hveragerði with hot tub

HunterRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Amazing location. Secluded but not too far away and very peaceful. The hot tub was amazing to sit in while relaxing at night and hoping for the northern lights, which we saw 2 of the 3 nights we were there. Was equipped with everything we could need and some extra goodies. Fantastic place and an easily accessible group of restaurants and grocery store.

Charming Studio Suite in the Green Town of the Capital

TracyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Wow! What a fabulous stay, our first in Iceland! This was a first trip in a long time without our teenage children and it allowed us to look for a property that would accommodate only the two of us. We both loved the rental. It was an easy, beautiful 50-minute or so drive from the international airport and only about 15 minutes to drive into the capital where we had other worldly meals in the evenings among other cultural stops. Approaching the rental, there are beautiful mountains flanking one side of the road and a lovely church at the top of a hill on the other side. The area was peaceful and quiet. We discovered a nearby bakery for daily breakfasts (Mossfellsbakeri) that is heaven.on.earth. The rental was immaculate, the bed was SO comfortable, the decor beautiful, the tub a treat. We have been long-time Airbnb renters and this experience was truly a standout. Helga was so friendly, responsive & helpful! I hope we will return to stay here again sooner vs later!

The cabin was beautiful, from the modern interior to the stunning views around! It was the perfect stay, very remote and out the way of the city but still close enough to travel to. The hottub was a nice touch, great for stargazing at night. Elka and Barbara were Great at responding and were very helpful. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Jónsstaðir H-00014952

CarolineRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Jónsstaðir. The cabin was lovely and warm on arrival thanks to the underfloor heating. The cabin had everything we needed for our three night stay. We were a little apprehensive about the outdoor shower but even in November this was great! It is in a wonderful location overlooking Þingvallavtn and only a 10 minute drive from þingvellir National Park and 30 mins from Reykjavik. The hosts Anna and Björn were very accommodating and helpful and answered our questions quickly. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at Petur’s cabin during our honeymoon to Iceland. It was perfect and cozy with many thoughtful touches. The lake it sits on is just beautiful and we loved waking up to the view each morning. Petur’s guidebook was very thorough and helpful, and the instructions on finding the cabin were clear and easy to follow. Thank you Petur for sharing your cabin with us, it contributed to a very special trip we will never forget! (:
