A really lovely cottage in a beautiful fishing village. Close to the beach and easy to get to Whitby and the moors. Worked well as a winter treat but even better in warm weather, I’m sure

Had a wonderful time at Cate’s house in Marske. The house is spacious with a great kitchen and lovely rooms. We had a great time. Excellently situated near the beach and a short trip from Saltburn and Guisborough. Would recommend and definitely visit again.

Stayed here for a 2 night New Year break, we were 2 couples. Everything about this cottage is outstanding; everything you would wish for with regards to cleanliness and comfort is exceptional. Everything is finished to a high standard. Having 2 bathrooms is a bonus. The log burner/stove is a great feature, and the hosts kindly lit it before we arrived, which made it very cosy. The hosts were very responsive, and answered any questions very quickly. Would highly recommend this property.

David is a great host and was very helpful and informative. The property has lots of history and has been converted into a lovely home, it’s location is amazing with beautiful views and surroundings, however our visit was mid January and on the morning after we arrived it had rained during the night which had then frozen, this made it difficult to walk back up the hill, other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Staithes there are lots of beautiful walks, the Cod and Lobster Pub is definitely worth a visit with great food and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Old Boiler House to stay in. Thank you. Tony & Kirsty.

Full of charm and right in the old part of Staithes so close to all the eating places. very comfy beds and the house was warm and toasty within a few minutes of arriving once we switched on the fire and radiators.

Our second stay in this lovely cottage! The house is so warm and cosy in the winter, with a powerful and super hot shower ideal for after beach walks. We walked to Saltburn and Redcar from the house, it was lovely to not rely on the car and there are bus services back if you prefer too. The pizza and Thai restaurants are two mins away and are lovely too. We look forward to another stay as soon as we can.

Great cottage right in the centre of Staithes. One advantage was that it was closer to the car park compared to other places we stayed before and it was easier with stairs/ walking Lovely views from the attic window The cottage is as described and even better The hosts are very attentive and responsive Highly recommend

Really enjoyed the stay with the family. Vicky replied promptly at all times. Shame we couldn't utilise the great outdoor space more, due to December weather. But overall we all had a lovely time at Vicky's place for our winter break.

Charlie was really proactive and very helpful, providing clear instructions and information. The apartment is in a great location, just a short walk to the beach. Clean & comfortable. There are a few minor wear & tear things that need addressing like the chip in the bath and floors but nothing that stopped us enjoying our stay. A slightly later check out would be great, especially on a Sunday but again this didn’t effect our stay as we already had plans to leave early. We really enjoyed our stay and will no doubt return. We just have come back from a lovely stay. We stayed for two nights, it was very good for families, we’ve got two young children and the apartment was quite also easy to get to the beach and high street from. Thanks so much!

Stayed here with my work colleague for a few days whilst working in Redcar. It was a great apartment felt like we were coming to a home every night instead of a hotel. Not sure if there was Wi-Fi at the property as I couldn’t find a router or a code (probably my fault for doing a “man” look!)but signal is great here so managed to use my own phone data :) Will be re biking In The new year for our next phase of the job!

PROS : Fabulous apartment. Modern, with high ceilings and a bit of olde charm. The apartment was very spacious. With distant sea views . Felt like a home from home. The cleaners are a credit to the company, as it was pristine. Top floor flat, with quiet flat below. Excellent location few mins walk to the small village centre. CONS : Try and overlook the shabby hallway, as the apartment iitself is excellent. The apartment is on the main road into Saltburn. In the bedroom you can hear the road noise, which affected our sleep. They hold your £250 damage deposit for 2 weeks. Which coincidentally is the amount of time Airbnb give you to leave a review. This has left a bad taste In my mouth, as you would obviously be hesitant to leave a bad review. Knowing they have your £250 damage deposit. They will presumably say, pay the very expensive £25 damage waiver insurance. ( I pay £50 per year for car hire waiver. ) They could offer an annual policy, ,to encourage repeat business.

I booked the flat as a Father’s Day weekend get away. It’s so well positioned with lots to do in walking distance. A great cafe downstairs and lots of free car parking. The photos don’t do it justice such a gorgeous flat and so spacious. The hosts were so helpful and responsive and sent a local guide of suggested things to do and places to go which was so helpful.

We had a lovely stay over New Year at the Sunday School. The accommodation was perfect for my partner and our Labrador - so much space! The information and photos in the listing were spot on and it was a real pleasure dealing with Al who always responded quickly. We collected the keys from a property nearby and we were shown around and given all the local information that we needed. A lovely little town with access to spectacular walks, and a smashing place to come back to at the end of the day!
