Earth house vacation rentals in Puntarenas Province

You want to stay with Ria and her daughter Silke for a true and wonderful Costa Rican Experience. Silke is a clothing designer, I purchased a beautiful dress from her collection. Ria cooked us a lovely vegetarian meal for $8 US and delicious breakfast in the morning which was included. We felt right at home and safe in this neighborhood. Once you meet them you'll be friends forever, two very talented and beautiful women inside and out.

This place is more beautiful than pictures can show. We loved the artistic build of the cabin with lots of attention to detail and wood finishing. The location is off the beaten path but the views and wildlife, combined with the sweet local village really make it worth while. We stayed with our 2 boys age 7 and 10. They loved playing on the trampoline with Swin’s son. We really enjoyed hiking the path on the property- saw 2 monkeys- and we visited the secret garden, local cheese shop and bakery in the village. The sunset from the viewpoint on the property was spectacular! Thank you Swin and family, you have made a beautiful place to stay!

We loved staying here. It was a little bit longer of a walk to the beach than anticipated (approx. 10 minutes) but otherwise centrally located to the shops and restaurants of Tamarindo. This AirBnB has several rooms, and this one is by far the largest, separated from the rest. It was large and comfortable, with A/C, a stocked private kitchen, a desk with good wifi, and a large private outdoor space. Highly recommend! Access to the outdoor shared kitchen and pool just a 30 second walk away.

This house is truly unique and absolutely beautiful. It is secluded, safe and private with fantastic views up into the trees all around. We heard and saw many beautiful birds including a pair of red macaws who visited everyday. Also humming birds, toucans, vultures, spider monkeys every day, coatis, lesser anteater, poison dart frogs, lizards and heard howler monkeys and got a brief glimpse of one in the distance. They can sound quite scary but they are not threatening at all. A key feature (see photos) is that there are no windows or doors in this place so be prepared for nature to have full access! There is also a nice lookout platform with a wonderful view of the sea- it is also a bit cooler up there in the wood. Carlos is a fantastic host, very inspiring and generous with his time. He will tell you with enormous enthusiasm about nature all around. A lady comes to clean most days and also gave wonderful massages. We all had a truly fantastic stay! Don't miss it- highly recommend

Jeff’s house is a perfect spot for the Costa Rican jungle experience right outside of the main town. The location right next to the beach was great for our group. We spent every night hanging out on the deck. Jeff himself was accommodating and very kind, he sent us some great places to eat in town. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

For us city dwelles from germany, the stay in this little paradise was adventurous and beautiful. Being so close to nature is a wonderful feeling. Thank you for the great accommodation, which leaves nothing to be desired. Pura Vida

Claudia's home is an absolute dream. The pictures in the listing really don't do justice to how spectacular it is. The property is on 20 acres up a private road. It doesn't get any more private and secluded than this. Their land is in a prime mountain location, offering the the best views we've ever seen from anywhere in Uvita (and we've stayed at many places).. Yes absolutely need a 4x4 to get up there, but you do for anywhere you'd want to go in this part of Costa Rica, and it's worth it. The home is absolutely stunning, with the infinity pool as the focal point. What's especially great is how the rooms are situated separate from the living space. So each person can go back to their respective bedrooms and have peace and quiet, and sleep in if they want, but then join up in the common area Claudia was exceedingly friendly and helpful, and Carolina's breakfast was such a treat. My family and I can't wait to stay here again. Don't hesitate. Book this one!

The soothing sound of the river at night creates the perfect ambiance for relaxation, and the stargazing from the deck is absolutely magical. The house is well-equipped with everything you might need, including excellent internet, making it a great balance of nature and comfort. One of the highlights is the nearby waterfall, just a short walk away. It features a beautiful natural river pool—truly breathtaking and a must-visit! A quick heads-up: a 4x4 vehicle is essential, especially during the rainy season, as the road can get quite slippery. Overall, this place is a hidden gem for anyone seeking peace, adventure, and a touch of luxury in nature. Highly recommend!

Without exaggeration, this is the best Airbnb I’ve stayed at! Marie and Kristopher were attentive, considerate and communicative hosts who made our stay in Monteverde one we’ll treasure for a long time. Their home is beautifully designed and handcrafted, centered in respect and sustainability. The yoga class with Marie set us up for an unforgettable day where we felt grounded and connected to our bodies and our environment. The breakfast cannot be beat! The stay was complete with beautiful views of the surrounding valley and direct trail access to the nearby nature preserve. We look forward to returning one day.

We absolutely loved our stay. The space is private, located in the middle of the jungle, and just minutes to the beach. We were lucky enough to have a sloth right outside our unit! The home itself is beautiful- all wood, and the bed is so comfortable. Damian was so friendly and even lets us push back our check out time a couple of hours to accommodate for our next Airbnb check in. Definitely recommend for a romantic getaway- we will be back!

Irene is a wonderful host. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with her learning about how she designed Casa Domo Eco-dome. The dome is cool. The space feels much larger than it is and it has lots of natural light. It was clean and comfortable and just as it is described. There’s no need to leave air-conditioning on while you are away because it cools off a few minutes. The refrigerator is nice and cold. I put a 2 kg bag of ice and over 48 hours, just a little bit melted. Irene offered restaurant and nature recommendations. She is responsive and helpful. A Tica, she is worldly having traveled to a few continents. I highly recommend this location.
