Vacation rentals with beach access in Puako

Excellent location in Ali’li drive near magicsands beach . 3 minutes to walk to the beach. Everything we needed for our two days over Christmas was there. Rebecca was super helpful with information.

We had a wonderful time in Kathie's Condo. Being right on the ocean, we had a wonderful view. We saw whales, spinner dolphins and the Green flash off the Lani! Her place was well located, close to town and beaches. We can't wait for our next stay!

We loved Kathy’s place. It was cozy and just the right size for the two of us. The bed was comfy and we had everything we could possibly need for the kitchen, bathroom, laundry and beach. Kathy even provided binoculars for whale viewing! The place was easy to find with Kathy’s detailed directions and Kathy was very responsive and communicative. We look forward to staying at Kathy’s place the next time we visit the big island!

The property is on Alii Drive which is the "main drag" in Kona. It is walkable to a restaurant, pool and beach which are all located across the street. The property itself is very clean, free of clutter, well decorated, well furnished, and very comfortable. The instructions provided by the host were very clear; and, as such, there was no issue with gaining entrance. Being on Alii Drive, there can be some noise but it is not a nuisance as we are not in the unit during the day and the bedroom does not face the street thus not really disturbing our sleep. Overall, we found the property to be very convenient for our purposes. We enjoyed our time there and also appreciated the responsiveness of the owner to the few issues and questions which arose during our stay. We did find the streaming services offered on the TV a bit cumbersome to use but that also was not an issue since we spent more time outside than inside. We'll definitely look to stay at the unit again on a future visit

What a peaceful, restful retreat to return to after adventuring around the Big Island! We loved the airy spaciousness of the main rooms, the sweet bedroom with surprisingly large walk-in closet, the bed with its gauzy white canopy and view of the Milky Way, the tasty tangerines and lemons just outside the front door, and the outdoor shower which waters the citrus grove. Thanks Matt and Rose for providing such a tranquil, nourishing space. Would happily stay here again. J.T. and Mike

The place is just as described. Bed was comfortable and Kitchen was clean and had everything you should need. Paul was very resposponsive when we needed more body soap. The pool area is a must use!!!! View of the ocean while swimming. We seen dolphins and a whale! The only thing that could use an update is the bathtube. The bottom is very stained. I did communicate this to the owner Paul and he was very responsive. The owners seem like good people. The place is just what we needed for a few nights.

Absolutely loved staying at Bailey’s place in Puako. It was so tranquil and gorgeous with the sound of the ocean at night and the amazing birds in the morning. The unit was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. We were 3 people - our teenage son slept on the pull out couch in the living room - you do have to walk through the bedroom to access the bathroom. This was fine for us. I loved the screen porch!! Bailey left so much info that helped us and was responsive to any request. We would happily come back here again.

Perfect and accessible for Ali’i reservations and plans. A great place to staycation for the weekend. Will be coming back again.

We could not have wished for a more perfect home for our top short stay. We wanted to stay there months and months longer if possible. The house was very well stocked and the owner has thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The view of the most perfect cove is just a gem to wake up to everyday. We could snorkel and surf right in front of the home. There’s an awesome poke place within walking distance. This home is perfect.

I only have the best things to say about Joe and Anna as hosts. We visited over the Christmas holiday and they went out of their way to make it special for the occasion (my personal favorite was the Charlie Brown Christmas tree!) They were responsive throughout the trip when we had questions. We came with multiple generations of family, all with various interests and needs. Their place was comfortable for everyone and had everything we could have wanted and more! Everything was as described in their listing. I highly recommend this place and hope to visit again in the future! 🎄

We very much enjoyed our stay here with Jason, Amanda, and Barbie very helpful hosts. We did run into a couple of minor issues that were quickly resolved (& outside of the owners control). We appreciate how proactive the team was to respond. The best part of the place is how it felt like at home and abundance of space on the patio for our toddler and for us to enjoy. Walking to the beach was only 5 mins and we found we had more than enough of what we needed with some of the stuff that was supplied for beach time etc. Amanda did a great job of providing local restaurant recommendations and other activities to consider doing while there. Overall, thank you for the great stay and would be recommending it to other friends & family!

The home was as described. It had plenty of space for our family, and all the amenities that were listed. We did move the "breakable" decore out of the way as we had toddlers in our party. There were actually some beach umbrellas avaliable (guessing from previous guests) and coolers/beach chairs avaliable. The A/C is not super strong, but worked well for us in the January weather. Overall my family and I had a great time.

We had an amazing stay at this airbnb over 2024 Thanksgiving break. When we were at the house we were all either in the pool or on the deck. such a cool location close to all the best kona surf abd snorkeling spots. the house is huge with great upgrades and a spread layout. the kitchen dishes are so cute.with palm trees...just great deails throughout the house. we will be back for sure. .

Had a dream vacation at Mary’s beautiful home in Captain Hook! We loved hearing the ocean and the birds. The place was clean, and well kept. We enjoyed the pool and big living space. There were lots of beach toys/flippers/towels to borrow which was very handy. The geckos were very charming and kept the bugs away. The bay is a 5 minute walk where you can enjoy the sunshine by the ocean with a big green space. There is also fantastic snorkelling in that area as well. We will very much miss this place. MAHALO!!

We loved staying at the Kona beach house it is a less than a minute walk to the beach and we loved being able to se sunrise and sunset every morning. The house was perfect for us and we would definitely come back!

This was a fantastic stay for our family of four. The cottage was probably the best equipped Airbnb we have stayed in with lots of supplies for a family that wants to prepare their own meals. It was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed the small village environment. We stayed here for a week and could have stayed longer. The snorkeling at Captain Cook bay was the best on the island particularly given the high surfs during our stay. Heidi was friendly and accommodating. Manini Beach, one of the local parks on the doorstep of the cottage, is a quiet and beautiful sanctuary with wonderful caretakers who share their local knowledge. Thank you, Heidi, for a wonderful stay.

...to plagiarize a comment I saw stated in another review: stop looking and book this place! This is the one! A+++ If you have found this option based on the criteria you think you need, there is likely no better place. The location is ideal. The view of the ocean & pool is incredible--the mesmerizing surf and scenery cannot be matched. A special note: This home provides three of the most comfortable beds that might exist within the Hawaiian Islands. Also--the front foyer is chock full of everything you need for beach fun... EVERYTHING...which was so helpful and reduced expense significantly. The efforts made by the host are very notable and appreciated. (I dig air conditioning--this place has it and it works wonderfully.) We hope to return to the Big Island and if we do this will be the first place we consider to stay again. This condo is close enough to anything and far enough away from everything--it will suit anyone...and really is a perfect vacation home. Mahalo!🤙😎

Terry's place was very nice, conveniently located (close, but not too close to the shopping district). You can watch the ocean from the property and walk down to it. There is not a beach in the typical sense, but it is really cool to walk on lava rocks as the waves hit and look at the marine life in the tide pool. There are lots of surfers and you can get lucky and see a whale or two. The unit was very clean and well kept with all the necessary comforts.

This condo was perfect for our stay in Kona. It is comfortable, has great amenities, and very convenient to everything in the Kona area. We especially loved the beautiful ocean views from the lanai and hanging out on the waterfront where we saw dolphins and turtles. Marc gave us great instructions and it was easy to find with convenient parking. Highly recommend!

My stay here was great, the view was absolutely beautiful! Kristina would respond quickly whenever I had a question which is a plus, and we were even able to check in a little early. The place was clean and spacious, and the view of the ocean is totally worth it! The only thing that I would say is if you are a light sleeper and you are planning on sleeping in the bedroom closest to the street, you will be able to hear the cars passing all through the night. Other than that it was the perfect place, pretty close to the downtown area as well. I would definitely recommend staying here!

This condo was just as advertised. Our host accommodated an early check in and communicated efficiently. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful rainfall shower and a very comfortable bed. It is well equipped with everything you need starting with the kitchen and continuing all the way to beach toys. It is well thought out and if you think you might want it, you'll find that it has already been provided!
