Casa do Varatojo is a tranquil and healing location in a small town, offering warmth and hospitality beginning with Sara and her family, and continuing throughout the surrounding communities. I've lived in Portugal for three years in the southern part of the country, and was so impressed at how uncommonly welcoming and accepting of a total stranger the community members have been in this area. Casa do Varatojo itself is a great place to relax and unwind and explore surrounding destinations nearby, including Nazaré. The casinha where I stayed for several weeks was warm, cozy and clean, with a nice shower and little terrace. Sara and her family were helpful and always available if I needed help and information. I had a special request for my reservation, and Sara couldn't have been more accomodating. Finally, Sara offers yoga classes several times a week, and generously offered to let me use her yoga studio many times. It was a great stay! Thank you Sara and your lovely family!

Accommodation true to the description, everything new and very clean. It has a patio with a barbecue that the weather did not allow us to enjoy. The host was very friendly with several welcoming touches. If we return to the area, we would definitely stay here again.
