Steve and Bev’s cottage bordering hazelnut orchards is a delightful restful place to feel at home. They are friendly and communicative, and their cottage is great. The area is pretty interesting agriculturally and with the trains. I got to see snow, rain and sunshine during my stay, their property and the cottage are cozy and beautiful through all the weather. Great spot to get away and relax. All the amenities are great (wifi works well, I did some remote work and that was super convenient).

Great location about halfway between Portland and Mt. Hood. Great for 2 people for a quiet getaway. Would definitely stay again!

This is our second time to this house, we love staying here. Randy and Barbara are very responsive and helpful hosts. Beautiful and quiet place to relax.

We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! Lots of cooking in the beautiful spacious kitchen, lovely walks on the property, and cozy afternoons in the living room looking out at all the greenery. Would happily visit again.

Cathie and Dan's cabin is a perfect spot for a retreat. Quiet, private, beautiful and plenty of split wood for a stove fire.

Stayed the weekend for a wedding. Gorgeous property and house, very clean. Comfortable private suite on second level of the house. Christy is friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Everything you would want in a host. Hope to stay there again!

I stayed here for a work trip turned working vacation. My dogs had a blast-- there was so much room for them to run and explore. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, cozy cabin, and responsive hosts, not to mention friendly horses. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the country charm of this place! Danny and LeeAnne have done an incredible job preserving it's character and quaintness. Everything was immaculate and well thought out.

Loved, loved, loved Virginias home. Was big and clean. Beautiful home! Lots of room. I’ve been dealing with cancer all year and it was so nice to be there! Was so happy that we went and spent Christmas there. Virginia decorated with some nice Christmas decorations. Had such a wonderful time. A very warm and relaxing place!

The cabin is perfect for a cozy getaway close to Portland. It was squeaky clean and the wood stove kept the place very toasty. If you are arriving at night, look for the driveway with string lights as the cabin is set back from the road. We look forward to coming back!

Jean was very flexible with us on the check in and check out times to accommodate our work and travel schedules. We appreciated the responsiveness to our requests to modify those times as well.

Great little getaway tiny home to stay in! Located in such a peaceful property. Had such a great time staying here. Home was very comfortable and felt right at home! Comfortably fit 3 of us total! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice cozy getaway that’s also not too far from town.

Came to stay for a new years get away. it was so peaceful and just what we needed for a relaxing time together. the GPS tried to make us turn after the driveway so we had to turn around but it was fairly easy to find. the beds were very comfortable and had all the cooking utensils we needed for a few day stay. such a beautiful property

Christi's cottage was perfect for our familybof four. The toys in the kids' room were so helpful. The kitchen was fully shocked with helpful appliances and cookware, which made our life much easier staying there the week of Christmas. would definitely stay there again. Wonderful host and accommodations!

We have stayed here three times in the last thirteen months and will keep coming back. It's quiet, private, comfortable and the setting is beautiful. Charlotte and her husband, Val, are welcoming and helpful. It is a convenient location for exploring the surrounding area with plenty to see and do.

That was so nice! The place is very cozy and homey, and Ed and Jacquie have nailed all the little extras spot on. When I stepped inside my first thought was, “Oh, I could live here!” We were greeted warmly given a short tour and explanation of the hot tub and the little ins and outs of the place, then left to our own quiet privacy. Baked goodies were there waiting for us and fresh flowers—the attention to detail was spot on! This spot is just far enough out of town to feel like getting away, yet was close enough to be easy to access all the necessities. Also, the hot tub was wonderful, private, and very easy to use and to get in and out of. I will recommend this stay to anyone who wants the peace and beauty of a cottage get away. We will definitely be back when we can get there!!

This was our second stay at Steven's Scholls Valley Retreat and it was just as wonderful as the first time, a few months ago. Actually better, because we did feel like we were coming home! The living space is so spacious; the views of the beautiful countryside from every window are peaceful; and the warm, earth tone colors of the furnishings all make this place a comfortable and pleasant place to spend a week. And, a delightful bonus was that all of Steven's Christmas lights were still up when we arrived! In addition, Steven is a wonderful, friendly & responsive host who we always enjoy talking with!

We were making last minute plans and Lori was very responsive and flexible. It is a beautiful area and exactly as described. Thank you so much! It was perfect.
