Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Northport

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

This was one of best AirBnB experiences any of us had ever had! The house is adorable and sparkling clean. We had thoughtful and attentive hosts in a beautiful town in a beautiful state. On one of the best nights of our stay we cooked in using a remarkably well equipped kitchen, ate dinner in the lovely yard at the picnic table and sat by the fire pit talking into the night, firewood provided by Tammie. It was a magical. We would come back in a heartbeat.

My cousin and I spent a week at holly's house. We made our day trips from there. All the sights were easily and quickly accessible by car from there. Whether in the north, south, east or west of Maine. We enjoyed spending our evenings in a fully equipped house. From check-in to check-out, everything was uncomplicated. We really enjoyed our time there.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We unexpectedly had beautiful cloudless days most of the week. Great location & easy to get to the Harbor and Southport both of which we enjoyed! Recommend the Carriage House for a really top quality meal as well as Blue Moon Cafe (good lobster roll) which was one of Shirin’s recommendations. Would totally stay here again!!

A group of six of us had a comfortable stay with zero issues! I was impressed by the amenities in the kitchen and the cleanliness of the space! The quiet area with a grocery store and good coffee shops nearby was perfect base for our days in Acadia. Hosts were also friendly and gave good recommendations :)

This place was very nice.. The kitchen was one of the best stacked kitchen I have seen.. It was a straight 40 min drive to Acadia Park. It was a straight drive. So it was worth it. Close to Bar Harbor and Bass Harbor. The house instructions were great. Easy and fast to communicate with host. The host was very helpful to give tips about the area. Very clean house. You do hear road traffic noise from house. It did not bother my wife. But I am a light sleeper so I was aware of it. But still worth it. Host has firewood for sell on property to do fire in fire ring. We did not have fire but nice activity to have available. Very nice and welcoming house. You will enjoy your stay there. Host was very friendly.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at this beautiful home on Springy Pond! The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for a getaway with friends and family. We especially loved the peaceful surroundings and direct access to the lake, kayaking early in the morning and watching the sunrise over the water was absolutely magical. The kitchen was great, making it easy for us to cook and enjoy meals together. It was also a great base for visiting Acadia National Park, which we were able to explore during the day before coming back to relax by the lake in the evening. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic retreat with easy access to outdoor activities. We hope to come back someday!

Very nice little apartment in a quiet and woodsy neighborhood in Southwest Harbor, a very short drive from plenty of restaurants and so forth, and also convenient for exploring the rest of MDI. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and Caroline was responsive and very friendly, as were the rest of her family. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and cozy place and very responsive and accommodating host. Place is 30 mins drive from bar harbor and Acadia . The river down the house is an additional beauty in its own. The place had everything you need. The care the host took for arranging everything is really appreciated.

Such a cute place to stay near Bar Harbor and Acadia! The dogs were adorable! Perfect place to stay after a long day of exploring.

This was our second stay at the Cottrell House. The location can’t be beat. It’s nestled off the main street with access to the river while within easy walking to stores and restaurants. The apartment is quiet and clean. Lissette is a wonderful host.

The place was amazing, such a great find! The hosts laid out check-in and check-out instructions very clearly and offered an abundance of amenities to make our stay more enjoyable. They offered toiletries, tide pods, cooking spices, coffee, books- the list could really go on and on. It really felt like a home away from home! Thank you to our wonderful hosts, we hope to visit again!!

Jean’s place was amazing, and she was the perfect host! The apartment was perfect for us! The king size bed was so comfortable, and everything was just as described. The location on the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. Jean and Bob very generous and let us use their whole property including wonderful swings to rest on and lake kayaks and a paddle boat! We were scouting out places to buy near Winthrop, and Jean had some great advice and was super helpful! We will be back!

I cannot say enough about Nancy, the unit I stayed in, or her hospitality! This apartment was perfect and cozy for my visit, with lots of personal touches and extras - if you need it, she’s already thought of it and has it ready for you. She was also very accommodating when my flight was cancelled and I had to shift my days around a bit. The personal touches were perfect - I had farm fresh eggs for breakfast and some delicious muffins too. A wonderful stay, thank you! I will most definitely be back! ❤️

We have stayed at Jackies place twice now and enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Even though it rained for two days the house is plenty big enough to spread out. We had to change our reservation days twice because of circumstances and Jackie was very accomidating..

Our stay at the cabin was perfect! My boyfriend and I wanted somewhere we could stay with our dog and go hiking in Acadia National Park. The cabin is a short drive to many of the best hiking trails and only a 25 min drive to Bar Harbor. It’s in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that we were able to walk our dog around. The cabin itself was the perfect size for us and was very comfortable. The grill was great and we cooked out on it almost every night. We had everything we could think of there, and it truly felt like home for the week that we were there. The house manual had great recommendations for the area. We can’t wait to come back.

This place is a dream! You will be in awe just driving up to the cabin. The view is incredible to say the least and there's many different spots to view it from. Lounge on the enclosed porch, or in the gazebo, or by the fire pit, you'll still be able to see that great view. The cabin is great too. It's rustic and very clean and comes with all the comforts of home. I would certainly recommend this spot to anyone looking to get away to a quite spot, with no nosey neighbors and enjoy the glory of creation. You might even see a bald eagle! It's also not too far from other areas. 20-25 minutes to Skowhegan, or an hour drive to the coast. Kate was super communicative and welcoming. She quickly answered all the questions we had and checked in with us via airbnb (not in person, which is appreciated) to make sure everything was well when we checked in. We didn't see her, but she made sure we knew that she was a moment away if we needed anything, and that's just the way we like it!

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! Connor, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. You can count on us to be back in the future! Thank you!

We loved staying at the cabin! It was 2 adults and one infant, and we had plenty of space to setup a pack n play for the baby to sleep. It was very clean, even for such an old cabin. The heat worked good since it was still cold in April. Lisa came over to introduce herself and asked if we needed anything, super friendly. It’s perfect for a short stay with a small family/couple. Just remember to bring your own towels :) The front porch with the rocking chairs is awesome as well. We will stay here again the next time we are in the Skowhegan area!

A great private place to stay when visiting Acadia! Only about 40 minutes away from Bar Harbor.

we will be returning again for a 3rd time for our honeymoon this has become a very special place to us.
