A special tranquil gem with lakeside access! A very private and quiet place to ‘just relax’ and recharge. I had a fantastic nights sleep and sat outside in the morning sun enjoying my breakfast. Chloe the Lab popped by to make sure I was all settled in (beautiful). The place is very well set up, well equipped and so very private and relaxing. Thank you Christa & Hank. Maggie’s Place was a little haven for us for a few days, with the peaceful setting and beautiful garden. We enjoyed walking out to the river from the garden gate, and the bird reserve is nearby. Waipu is a great little place with everything you need including good coffee shops and restaurants. Most of all the warm welcome from our hosts made it a lovely, memorable stay. We would definitely stay again if we are visiting the area.

Great stay at the Black and White Suites in Matakana. Location lovely and quiet, yet only minutes to the village with access to shops and restaurants. With a car, lots to see and do in the surroundings. Loved Brick Bay Sculpture Walk (amazing native forest) and Sculpturem also really interesting. Property well described; very comfortable bed and sofa for hanging out. Had small fridge and able to make a coffee or have some toast in the room. Would highly recommend for short stays in the village.

Fantastic place to stay on the Tutukaka Coast, with a path straight down to a beautiful beach. Pauline is a friendly, relaxed host and a good communicator. We recommend the place!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Alysn. The apartment was spotless and we had everything we could think of to have a pleasant stay. Well equipped kitchen and lovely beds. Lots of extra things we could borrow like boogie boards, beach tents, cool bag, beach chairs and towels. We felt very welcome and wish we had more time to spend here. We visited Tawharanui regional park and had a wonderful time doing eco walk and enjoying the beach.

The accommodation had a lovely feel to it. Clean, comfortable and restful. The host was very generous with plentiful tea, coffee and breakfast supplies. 5 to 10 minutes to the sites we wished to visit. Parking right at the door.

This is one of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Situated on the coast of some of New Zealand’s best beaches, the property has easy walking access to a small private beach or enjoy Matapouri which is only a very short drive away. The property has every thoughtful amenity you may need which was so helpful if you want to bbq and eat at home. It’s fitted out to a super high standard with comfortable beds, linen and a great shower. It’s immaculately clean, nestled in stunning surroundings. Our host Angela continuously went above and beyond to offer the most outstanding service including fresh tomatoes from the garden and baked birthday muffins for my friend who was celebrating. If that wasn’t enough Angela offers massage therapy from her home which was reasonably priced and out of this world. A truly relaxing place, gorgeous quality and phenomenal host, I hope I can return to enjoy again!

The motel is very close to the sea and the view of the sunrise was breathtaking. we really liked the shower and spa bath, after a long day of traveling. we really enjoyed our stay

Stayed here as I worked at Northport for a few days and it was a gem. Watched the sunrise, very peaceful and amazing views! Comfiest bed, so clean and has all you need if you like to cook your own food. Thank you much, would definitely rebook and recommend to friends and family!

Definitely one of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Such a beautiful spot, everything you would need, Tania was an incredible host! The hot tub snd sauna were top notch and the homemade bread and spreads were delicious. Amazing value for money

Ian was a great host! We absolutely loved staying at his beautiful hidden garden. Ian allowed us to have friends over for a BBQ and even gave us extra furniture for them and had the BBQ set up for us. The room itself was great size and bathroom was nice and tidy as well. We loved staying here and will defiantly be back when we are in the area again!!!

Everything about this accommodation is wonderful: the exquisitely beautiful location and view, the gracious hospitality of the host and her endless special touches and treats, the convenient proximity to magical nature spots, the cleanliness and comfort of the studio…one of our most favorite places to visit!

This was the second time we stayed there. It is very quiet, comfortable and safe. Ruth is an excellent hostess. she was very responsive to our suggestion (it was a very minor issue). She is very friendly and we had quite a nice chat.

Thys & his wife Heidi, were perfect hosts. They made a point of meeting us when we arrived and saying goodbye when we left. The accommodation is absolutely lovely with great views out over the esturary and lush, greenery. It is very private and peaceful. They were very happy to recommend restaurants and things to do and there is a wealth of information in the property. The bed was really comfortable - this was our last stop in our 30 days tour and we have slept on lots of beds! This one was by far the best. Lots of restaurants just a short drive away and the car ferry over to Russell is even closer. I would thoroughly recommend this property in the future and would stay again in a heartbeat. We love our stay at Janeen’s. The space was cosy and welcoming and we felt instantly at home. Janeen was super friendly and very good at communicating. We would definitely come back if we were to stay in the area again.
