Alison’s place was perfect for two young families. Incredible location, so central to the shops and an easy stroll to the estuary. The house is really well equipped. I have stayed in a lot of places but Anneke’s place is very special. If I could give it 10 stars I would. The view and layout of the unit is just about the best I have ever experienced with an Air bnb. The bed was comfortable, the unit was immaculate and waking up to that view was wonderful. We stayed for a week and we could have stayed much longer. We thank her for her kindness and hospitality.

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

Very clean and tidy house with outstanding views over Mangawhai Estuary and out to the sea beyond. And the deck to enjoy the views made it even better!! We will definitely look to book here again if we are up this way in the future.

Nestled right on the edge of the stunning 90-mile beach, this property offers unbeatable ocean views, breathtaking sunsets, and direct access to the sand—making it an absolute dream for beach lovers, surfers, and anyone craving a tranquil escape. We will be back! Les was super friendly and very responsive. He was kind enough to remind us to visit a beautiful beach before we finished our trip, which we might have otherwise missed.

Maggie’s Place had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. We enjoyed breakfast looking out over the beautiful gardens. The property neighbours the river mouth which was peaceful and a fun spot for some fishing. Kitchen was very well equipped and the kids enjoyed the DVD selection! Recommend and would stay again.

Chris is an amazing host, very easy to communicate always responsive. She gave us a welcome gift of the most delicious Luisa plum from her garden. The apartment is located in a very nice neighborhood. The garden is beautiful and very relaxing. The house is very big and is great for a long term stay coz they have all amenities needed. I will definitely recommend this bnb to friends and family

Very comfortable little place with a ton of nice little touches like artwork, good appliances, comfortable outdoor seating. Very close to the beach and the estuary. Even if you aren't a dog person, the dogs are so well behaved and quiet, they occasionally will visit you and you can give them a pat if you like.

Lovely spot. Crystal clear waters. Beautiful beach. Sound of the waves crashing. Feels like a world away. Great place for a long weekend - we were so lucky with the weather (even too hot!). It’s magical to be able to have airbnbs in such locations. May this long continue.

We were six couples who had a thoroughly enjoyable break from city life for 5 days. Used it as a base to do day trips to go fishing, trip to Cape Reinga and Kerikeri. Big comfortable home and friendly responsive host

It was abundant space used beautifully. You get this amazing view from everywhere other than the bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we could want. The hot tub was satisfying. We loved the bush walk. Would love to stay there again. The hosts were really great and worked hard to make our stay great. They were very responsive.

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

We had a fantastic stay at Pacific Rendezvous, there were lots of amenities on site and beautiful walks we could access straight from our accomodation. The staff were friendly and the apartment was comfortable and gad everything we needed. We would love to visit again!

Our family really enjoyed this stay! We loved the layout of the home, having the sleep out allowed the kids to have their own space and we weren’t feeling like we were all on top of each other. The pool isn’t massive but enough for everyone to cool down. The distance to the shops is so close which was super handy for grocery top ups or ice cream runs. As it’s on the main road it is noisy in the front room and impacts getting in and out of the drive - but not an issue for us but worth noting. The host was super responsive as we were 30mins early. Will def be back to stay!
