Quirky Tin Cottage near the Mendip Hills

Our cottage is a quirky wooden framed, tin clad cottage, sitting on the banks of a stream, next to our house. Although small it feels much bigger with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It can sleep 4 people with the use of the sofa bed. It features a wood burning stove, (it also has central heating ;-)), a gorgeous mural across one wall, a veranda for sitting and watching the world go by, oh and it also has full WiFi, smart TV and sound system if this all sounds a little rustic.

The garden studio is a cozy stand alone building with a double bedroom, small seating area, tv and adjoining bathroom. The house and studio are set in the countryside on the outskirts of Nailsea, with beautiful views and lots of walking and cycling routes on the doorstep, yet only 20 minutes from Bristol and 5 from Nailsea & Backwell station, with direct trains to London. A lovely country pub is a five minute cycle or 20 minute walk away on the lanes (or 40 minutes through the fields).

A private hot tub is presented in a natural setting, with clear water reflecting the sunlight. Lush greenery and fields can be seen in the background, enhancing the serene outdoor atmosphere.

The Garden House, Windmill Hill, Bristol

The garden house is a comfortable converted garage at the end of our garden. It is an open plan studio, heated by a pellet stove. It has been lovingly renovated in part with vintage/antique furniture. The house has its own entrance from a lane at the back of our house. We aren't too far to the harbourside (0.7mile/20min walk) & approx 1 mile from the town centre. Windmill hill has great transport links if you don't like walking. Free on street parking on Cotswold rd.

Well what can I say. I didn’t want to leave for starters. Sue’s place was up in my top 5 of places to stay. Quirky, peaceful, cute and cosy. To top it off dog friendly. Sadly one of my dogs had been told by the vet a day before we left that he needs 4 weeks bed rest so he couldn’t come out with us or our other pup during the day. Sue accommodated him staying at the hobbit house and actually looked after him for a day. Now that’s service and kindness. I definitely want to go back as it’s exactly what we were looking for to escape our hectic lives and jobs. Thank you Sue xx

Really lovely stay, we really enjoyed ourselves. A great countryside getaway and close to Bristol which is what we needed. The hosts were lovely, and so flexible which we really appreciated. We loved how cosy the bed was and felt really tucked away and relaxed, just slightly scary ladder to get up to it!! Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed at the cosy cottage for a week while in the area for some events. We didn’t want to go home! Such a gorgeous setting - we were lucky with the weather so spent all our time outside enjoying the hammock, loungers and of course the bath! WiFi is excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely few days staying at Mikes place, a perfect get away from the city. It was great to be surrounded by nature in such a private space. The hut was clean with everything you could need. We absolutely loved the fire, it was really cosy. Mike was a great host and offered us a lift if we needed. (It is possible to arrive without a car, there is a pub about 20 mins walk away. We walked across to Chew Magna which took us about 1 hour and 20 mins). Mike left us a carton of eggs from the chickens before we left, much appreciated. Definitely recommend staying here if you want some quiet time in nature with gorgeous surroundings. Hopefully be back soon!

The space was compact but very bright and cozy, with a lovely view and quiet surroundings. It was perfect for two people. The location was easy to get to and very accessible to public transport and shops, restaurants etc. Penny and Christian were very friendly and responsive. We had a lovely stay
