We stayed here overnight to visit the Christmas markets with our 5.5 month old as well as my husband’s brother and fiancé. It was a beautifully kept cottage, the hot tub had been warmed prior to our arrival, and the amenities were great - towels, linen, bath robes and some toiletries provided as well as a travel cot and night chair being set up for us before we arrived. There were also enough kindling and logs for a fire in the log burner. There was a Christmas tree set up and everything was just lovely. We were able to cook a meal and breakfast as well as have some time in the hot tub in the evening. It was really close to Bath for visiting both days we were there and though slightly tricky to find in the dark, the detailed instructions were incredibly useful. Would definitely book again if visiting Bath.

We had such a great stay, the property exceeded our expectations and was close enough to Bath to spend time in the city as we planned but also remote enough for us to have a really peaceful break surrounded by nature!! Host was very helpful and available when we needed them which was great. Can’t wait to come back!

A great place to stay with an incredibly helpful host, especially during the power outage! The hot tub area is lovely for relaxing after busy days. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Just back from a magical weekend at Daisy Cottage, the weather was against us but Danielle was determined for us to have a great time none the less! The Cottage was beautifully presented and already decorated for Christmas, everything we needed including wood for the fire was ready and waiting, and the pre-warmed Hot tub was a real treat. Fantastic location on the outskirts of Bath, I would recommend the park and ride for a hassle free experience! We would definitely return here again :)

Lovely stay in a quiet village and only a short distance in to Bath. Nice private hot tub and must give a shout out to The Cross House, Doynton for amazing food, which is about a 5 minute drive away. Also a cozy log burner (plenty of logs provided).

The house is beautiful, photos don’t do it justice. The space is great and so full of character with every thing you need and more. We had the perfect girls weekend. Lots of local walks to choose from, and nothing beats a cup of tea in the morning in that garden! Would definitely recommend this home!

Lydia and Nick were fantastic hosts, helpful, communicative and warm, we stayed during storm Darrah and they did everything possible to make our stay comfortable! Could not fault them at all! Lovely people, wonderful location and if we had as many guests again we would happily stay with Lydia and Nick again 😀

Sophie was a great host and the cottage was lovely, in a beautiful and quiet place but easy to walk or drive to local amenities or attractions. we can recommend walking along the Strawberry line to either Winscome ( good pub, shops and takeaways ) or to Sandford to visit Thatchers Cider. A great stay in a lovely property. Everything we needed was there, and we really enjoyed our short break. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose in future.

We arrived a little later than planned which was not an issue at all for our hosts! It was easy to access the property and as soon as we walked in we knew we had made the right choice! There was some lovely music playing on a little speaker as soon as you came in. Plenty of space to store clothes etc if needed to! The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you need and the bathroom is lovely.The garden and the view WOW! well kept and very clean garden and enclosed so our little Frenchie couldn't get out. The hosts can't do enough for you - were quick to reply if you needed something and they kindly let us use the BBQ . They were so lovely and welcoming but also just left us to do what we wanted to do. We were made to feel right at home. There is so much to do and the surrounding area is beautiful ! We will be staying again thank you so much !!!

If we could give this an infinite star rating, we would. We loved everything about staying here. The building is beautiful - spacious, cosy, warm, and it feels like a real home. The garden is private and peaceful, full of visiting birds, and a haven for our dog. The location is amazing - views across the channel, shops within walking distance and, best of all for us, a coastal path literally across the road. Most important, the hosts are impeccable at hosting - incredibly friendly, welcoming and responsive, while also giving us privacy. They have thought of everything. Wish we could visit every week.

We spent a very pleasant week in Oak Barn, and it was the perfect base to visit Bath, Bristol, Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The property was lovely and warm, spacious and had everything we needed.

This was a great stay - up there with the best AirBnB places we have enjoyed. The location is excellent, well located with surrounding pubs, restaurants and walks. The cottage was well appointed and very well maintained, with some really helpful instructions and information. It is clear that Elizabeth takes immense pride in her cottage and it shows. She is an excellent communicator and made us feel very welcome, with some welcome provisions (inc a bottle of wine) for us on our arrival. We had a very comfortable stay and would like to come back again. Thank you Elizabeth.

The Hideway was peaceful and very comfortable, especially the bed. Everything was well thought out and beautifully decorated with a lovely garden to sit in. We enjoyed our stay there and Jane was very friendly leaving delicious goodies as a welcome, which we very much appreciated. Would recommend.

Tiggys place in Blagdon was perfect to attend a family friends daughters wedding at Coombes lodge. Tiggys mother was kind enough to give us a lift as we didn’t have a car. We got around week for three days with local Ubers to Bath and Cheddar Gorge. The fresh milk delivered was a treat and the Yeo Valley yogurt I purchased at the canteen store is some of the best I have ever eaten. The local grocery store had basic staples for the days that we were there and The Coffee Station House was great for morning cuppa java. Thanks so much for opening you home to us when we were in a bind because of an Airbnb cancellation however I think it was truly a blessing in disguise and meant to be!

We couldn't have wished for more! Perfect location for our day trips to Cheddar and Weston-super-Mare. Beautifully equipped with everything we needed, and tastefully furnished with lovely art work too! So cosy and quiet, with a lovely view of the garden from the master bedroom. Great communication from the host throughout (even when we accidentally left a coat behind - he offered to post it to us). Every aspect makes us hope we get to return one day.

Wagtails Barn is lovely and so well equipped. Everything is high quality and in excellent condition. Robert and Naomi were friendly and helpful- the homemade biscuits, milk and flowers on arrival, a thoughtful touch. It’s a secluded setting yet seconds from roads to get everywhere. It’s about 40mins to Cheddar Gorge, Bath, the seaside, South Wales and minutes from Bristol. Organised a Sainsbury’s delivery with no problem. We loved our stay, a real treat for us (above what we’d normally want to pay for a cottage). No disappointments at all. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed in Jayne & John’s barn for 2 months and enjoyed every moment! They greeted us upon arrival and provided all the recommendations to experience North Somerset and the surrounding beauty. The home is private and equipped with everything needed for cooking meals, working from home (as a couple), & enjoying the relaxing environment they’ve created in the English countryside. We didn’t have a car for our stay and were able to walk into Winscombe for groceries or order delivery (groceries or meals), take the Falcon (bus) into Bristol and easily Uber to the Bristol Airport. Surrounded by nature, the footpaths connect you to hiking & biking trails. Our stay was even more superb because of how gracious and friendly Jayne, John and their neighbors are. They truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to ensure the best experience. Highly recommend staying for any amount of time as you’ll quickly fall in love with the area and the inviting sanctuary they’ve created at the barn!
