Waterfront vacation rentals in North Kona

Wonderful place to stay. We felt right at home, it was clean and peaceful. Easy location to walk to shops and surrounding areas. Absolutely beautiful view. We will be staying there again.

We immediately felt right at home and welcomed by Regina and Scott. From the well organized binder of information to every amenity one might need, this is THE place to spend a week. When not running out to the sites on the Big Island, this property will meet all your needs. The room was quiet and had easy access. We could easily walk to town or have dinner on our private lanai while watching the sunset. When the staff blows the conch shells at sunset, all will be right in your world.

The condo had everything we needed and looked just like the photos. The beach gear was a fantastic touch, making our beach days effortless and fun. The fully stocked kitchen was nice—we loved being able to buy fresh fruit and prepare it at home. The bed was comfortable, and while there’s no AC in the bedroom, the fan kept the space comfortable. The location was conveniently located - only a 2-minute drive to the closes white sand beach and 15-20 minutes to Costco and Walmart. The street outside can be a bit loud from the passing cars, so the lanai wasn’t the quietest spot to relax, but it wasn’t an issue inside, and we slept well. Check-in and checkout were seamless, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Tom was an excellent host—he was proactive and highly responsive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Overall, a well-equipped and conveniently located stay that made our trip enjoyable!

We chose Chris's place for the gorgeous view and nearness to the ocean. We were not disaeppointed; we spent all the time we were there, except for sleeping and showering, on the lanai, looking out on the ocean. We fell easily asleep to the sound of the waves. The sea breeze and the fans were sufficient to cool the apartment. When it was time for us to leave for the airport, we packed our car and gave ourselves some extra time to just sit on the lanai one last time, loving the view. I don't think I will ever forget it. We were impressed by the well-stocked kitchen and most appreciative. Beyond salt, pepper, and evo, there were spices and condiments, rice (and a rice cooker!) and soy sauce, and even some cocktail makings. The pots and pans and knives were excellent. It was no struggle at all to prepare meals and clean up with the help of a full-size dishwasher. An initial stop at a 24-hr safeway and one more trip were all we needed, plus a trip to an amazing fishmonger.

What a great location, literally right on top of Alii Drive and looking out to the ocean! Tastefully furnished apartment and lanai. Well appointed kitchen and two full bathrooms. Dual air conditioning for bedroom and living room, plus a ceiling fan!

Just like the photos-right on the water in a nice complex with a clean pool and nice amenities. Our kiddo loved having beach toys and we appreciated the chairs, umbrella and cooler. Marta was an amazing host, helping coordinate check in and out times with our flights, without me even having to ask. The only downside we felt was that it’s not particularly walkable-you have to get in the car for most things. This, of course, is not the hosts fault and overall we really enjoyed our stay, just an FYI if you don’t know the area well.

Staying at Kona Magic Sands is just amazing! Abra’s unit is one of the best! Very clean and has everything we needed. We love have a unit with a lanai and this one did not disappoint. We love being able to just walk to the beach next door. Abra provided everything we needed to enjoy our time on the Big Island. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful condo with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. I would say however if you have little ones you need to know there are stairs in the unit, I had my 3 year old with me but she did well. I did feel like I had to keep her quiet most of the time as the property itself is very quiet, I don't think I seen any families with small children there. The condo itself was great, and the view was gorgeous.

Beautiful location! We loved the spacious living and dining area and lanai. The views were out of this world and we loved visiting Pebbles Beach (10 minutes down a very steep road), and it was a good jumping off point for Pu'uhonua o Honaunau and snorkeling at Honaunau Bay. Mahalo for a beautiful stay!

We stayed at Peter and Lori’s for the last few days of our honeymoon and were blown away! The pictures don’t do the property justice at all. Between the waterfront access (with kayaks and paddle boards provided), the spacious living area/stocked kitchen, and even Peter letting us have fresh fruits from their trees, we couldn’t have had a better experience!!! Peter was there to help us when needed, but also let us explore how we wanted. We also loved utilizing the Manta Ray/snorkeling experiences that he recommended just a walk down the street in the same bay. We didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to come back! Great place to stay in Waikoloa Village. We were in town for a race and it was perfect for us. Lots of space in the main living area and beds and rooms were comfortable. Lots of great supplies in the kitchen as well as toys/games/amenities for kids. We would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing stay at David’s Airbnb! We had 9 people during our stay and the house was great. A few of our highlights were the incredible location, comfortable beds, peaceful neighborhood, well-stocked home, and comfortable living space. Our family loves the beach so it was extremely fun to have multiple beach accesses within minutes of walking. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and sunrises and even found turtles sunbathing everyday towards the late afternoon/evening! The neighborhood was fairly quiet and we enjoyed going on walks right around the home. Another highlight was the beautiful backyard and garden area. We picked some fresh limes and enjoyed eating them with our meals, this was a special treat! We also loved how well-stocked the house was. David had one of the best stocked airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. There was plenty of bathroom, kitchen, laundry products as well as towels/beach towels and plenty of stuff for the beach! David was incredible to work with! Loved this!

We loved our stay at Mary’s place! Although it was a little more remote than expected, we appreciated the access to the different beautiful beaches in the neighborhood. The snorkeling at Manini Beach was spectacular! Because we had our 8 month old granddaughter with us, we also spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool. The “glamping” aspect of our stay was fun and we enjoyed the sounds of nature, particularly our rooster alarm at the crack of dawn which certainly helped us get our days started. We would highly recommend Mary’s place and wouldn’t hesitate staying again when on the island.

The home is wonderfully decorated, comfortable and has stunning views of beach. The floor plan gives great communal space and privacy for quiet times. Well appointed kitchen and great place to grill. Dave was incredibly nice and helpful! Families will love it and we will definitely come back.

This was a great place to stay on the big island. The property was fantastic. I would go again. The beach shown on line is not on the property or near the property but there is a small area on magic sand beach to wade into about 1000’ away that is a public beach. You need to drive 15 miles north to find a nice beach.

Location is perfect and house is just as described. I would stay there again!

Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home on the ocean! We enjoyed watching the surfers and sunset daily from the lanai or floor to ceiling windows, the sound of the ocean waves so rhythmic and calming. The condo is quiet, the pool and hot tub are great after a day of exploring. The kitchen was decently stocked to prepare daily meals and the condo was clean and well taken care of. The location was excellent, close to town/restaurants in one direction and beaches for snorkeling and picnicking in the other direction. Jennifer had snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and picnic coolers available for our use. We also had a designated, covered parking spot with secure, but easy access to condo. A wonderful stay! I hope our family can return again one day!

Great location. We loved listening to the surf with the windows open early morning. Loved watching the fish from the lanai. Staci was great. Gave us great advice and was super responsive to our questions. Thanks!

Nico and Sarah’s place was great! You’re steps away from a small beach and the view from the balcony is amazing. Hearing the ocean views at night was really relaxing. The AC was powerful and kept it nice and cool inside. Very clean as well. The hosts were very accommodating with early check in and later check out for our 2 year old.

The place was fantastic! We enjoyed staying there and hope to come back again. It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen and community grills made it easy to prepare meals. The bedrooms and living area was comfortable and we loved sitting outside watching the surfers and sunset. Highly recommend!

The attention to detail in this updated condo is apparent. It is appointed with guests in mind--USB charging stations, water play equipment, well stocked kitchen, cooler, containers and ice for picnics... The waterfront location was great even though this isn't an ocean-facing unit, it is in a location that other occupants aren't walking by the front door, which is nice. Although we didn't use the pool, it was a nice little feature and appeared very well-maintained. We used the AC both for cooling the bedroom and to blur the traffic noise from the busy street below. It did the trick for both!

Great condo away from tourist area but not far from restaurants and grocery stores. I like being in small building instead of big resort. Well stocked kitchen and furnishings up to date. Clean and quiet. Real hot tub with jets was nice after being out on excursions all day! Kristina was very responsive and helpful. The coffee grinder broke and she had on sent to me within an hour! I would definitely stay here again if I return to the big island again!

Very beautiful home!!! Tons of amenities and space. Beds were super comfortable and tons of extra blankets and pillows. Amazing views from the lanai, super close to the ocean. The sounds of the waves was phenomenal. 10/10 would rent again and recommend!!
