Walter has a beautiful place with awesome views of the sunsets. It is remote, so you definitely need to get a car. Great recommendations for food. Walter was very friendly and super responsive for anything we needed. One thing to note for future renters, the doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms are slatted for increased airflow. This does make sound travel, so privacy within your group may be limited.

Jason was an amazing host. House looked just like the pictures and you can tell it is well kept. He was quick to respond when I had any questions.

Ruimin’s house can be described by the word ‘charm’. It was wonderful to stay in a house that was open to the ocean brise and to be able to wake up to the sounds of birds singing - while being protected by mosquito nets. The house is large and has a wonderful view over the town and the water, allowing for stunning sunsets. Ruimin is an attentive host and quickly provided what we needed (gas grill was not working and was promptly replaced). There is some disrepair to this older house (wood railing around the - great- hot tub), but everything is in good working order and the Hawaiian open-concept charm of the house makes it all worthwhile.

Perfect home for our family of 5. Enjoyed the lovely outdoor patio and trees. The washer and dryer came in handy. There was a britta water purifier. The garage was stocked full of snokle gear, boogie boards and the kids loved the ping pong table. I would recommend this to family or friends. We hope to go back!

Love the space, it was clean and fresh. The layout is spacious. The host was responsive and allowed a late check out which was helpful. One thing to note. There is someone staying in the Garage which looks to be a full time tenant. Created an awkward feel for out door living, sharing the patio etc.. All in all a good stay, we would book again.

We stayed for 9 days with 4 children. The house is conveniently located on the mountain, comfortable temperature during day and night. Close to Kona. The place has well equipped kitchen amd bbq. We cooked meals. There are beach towels, beach umbrella and snorkeling equipment, laundry. Host is very friendly and responsive. Beds are comfortable.

Beth was a terrific hostess! She always responded warmly to us. Her home and lanai are amazing! And the EASY walk to Manini Beach was the huge cherry on top. Thank you Beth for the use of all the beach toys and snorkel gear!!

This is a nice getaway a little higher up and into the cooler air. We always prefer it if possible, and with enough windows we didn't even need the AC. A newer built area so not a lot of neighbors, and a great view down to the coast. We love the coqui frogs at night, kind of funny someone complained but I guess if you're not used to them Large space was perfect for us

This place was exactly what we needed! Even with a last minute double booking, they were accommodating and made the space work very well for us. They were always a text away, and very responsive. Close to what we needed, but also not in the middle of town where it was very busy. Thank you!

I loved this place. Stayed here a week with my mom. The balcony is large and the view is amazing. Despite there being a pool from the apartment next door, noise was never an issue. It was a five minute drive to the downtown. The pool area was relaxing. Jason was very responsive and kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

helpful host and nice house. Everything is perfect except for some cockroaches intruders. Highly recommended for those who love immersive experience in nature but also want to be close to amenities like restaurants and stores.

Lovely little place with beautiful surroundings. Older than appears in pictures but very clean. Very limited space to cook and fridge is quite small but there is a bbq and outdoor seating which was great. Hosts were friendly, attentive and always responsive. The pool is lovely and the nearby bay is close walking distance . The hosts live on the property full time and work from home so they are present and around most of the time. They were very respectful and were not nosy in the least but something to be aware of. Their cat and dog are wonderful and will visit you if desired.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Devorah's house. Devorah was gracious, and her house was amazing. Plenty of space for my huge family. The house was perfectly located in a beautiful neighborhood that's easy to find. House is as described with a great pool and lots of room. We recommend and will return on our next trip to Kona, Hawaii.

The place was very clean with lovely ocean views! We enjoyed our stay, though we did wish trash disposal was included and we didn't have to take it out ourselves.

it was our second time staying at Karina's place and it felt as though we were right at home! the elevation was perfect and we did not need air conditioning and the sounds of the coqui frogs at night lulled us to sleep. Karina's place is a great location from which to explore all the wonders the Big Island has to offer!

Just like the pictures. Amazing view of the water, private space, kitchenette was super useful. Joseph was responsive and friendly. You are on a coffee farm so expect some wild animals, unpaved paths, etc. Overall a great stay and loved the location as it was close to the main town without having to be in town.

Absolutely LOVED the unit! Will come back! AC was perfect & unit was very clean and big! We even got a late check out! Amazing place great host. Read this review if any one before mine may have discouraged you! BOOK IT

We really loved our stay with Brian and Linda. Great location, close to downtown area. The yard was private and nice to have access to. We had some ocean toys and the nicest mattress I’ve ever slept on. Would recommend!

I stayed by myself for 5 nights and enjoyed my visit - this is a low key spot with a great view. The hosts are welcoming and down-to-earth. The “room” is actually a standalone studio separate from the main house with its own bathroom, a kitchenette, and a private outdoor shower. I felt very comfortable here. A few considerations to help you make your choice: 🛌 : the bed was comfy with lots of pillows; some noise from cars 🔐 : there is a key for you to lock the door from the outside and an additional sliding lock on the inside 🍳: there is a large sink, potable water, fridge, cook stove (on the older side), coffee maker, microwave, etc.; a DIY hostel vibe to the kitchenette… 🚽: small inside bathroom and the ask that you don’t flush paper; outdoor shower with privacy & HOT water 🪟: there are 2 windows that are screens only 🦎 : this is on the rustic side w/ geckos and insects; 2 friendly dogs 🐕 🚗: MUST have a car; arrive during the day; 25-45+ minutes to key spots

It’s very convenient that this property had free AC. It was also nice that we were able to cook full breakfast every day. That helps save a lot of money. Also great location!

Not your typical rental. This is someone 's private home so there is "stuff". But that also means you have everything you need. Kitchen has every imaginable gadget. Beautiful view of the beach from the fully furnished lani. Gorgeous tended garden with plenty of sitting areas and a fire pit. Plus many different fruits. Comfy beds, 3 beds and 2 baths. Perfect for couples or family. Host is friendly and very accommodating. Good location, close to beaches, restaurants and sites.

I had a truly lovely stay at this beautiful property. The space is cozy, clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a peaceful retreat. The view is absolutely stunning—one of those views that reminds you to slow down and breathe it all in. The host was kind, responsive, and so welcoming. I’m especially grateful for the treats they left—it really added an extra touch of warmth and aloha. If you’re looking for a place that offers both comfort and natural beauty, this is it. I left with a full heart and lots of gratitude.

The street is peaceful and quiet while also being close to the highways for easy travel in either direction. The interior is very cozy and has great amenities. And of course, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for a week and would definitely recommend!
