Suite Overlooking Waimea

IanRating, 5 stars15 months ago
I travel to this area most years for conferences and holiday. Always choose this accommodation if available because of its location, amenities and most helpful guests. It is my number one place to stay for ease of access also. Very quiet and lovely neighbourhood and very safe walking any time day or night. It is up a hill which gives a great view and I like it for the exercise walking to restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and other shops. Could ask for better hosts! A favourite of many B&Bs I have stayed at around the world.

The Megan Love in Hawaii House

MandiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Megan and her family were so fun and inviting. Healthy breakfasts with roomy accommodations. Her kids are adorable and her guide to the Big Island was helpful for dining and finding good beaches and activities. Her home is in a nice gated neighborhood and we felt safe at all times of day and night. The yoga and crafts were a fun bonus. It felt like staying at a fun relative’s house. Highly recommend!

Ka'awa Loa Plantation Guesthouse

LoganRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Amazing! The place has a quiet, very peaceful, well-curated vibe. The breakfast is as incredible as the huge ocean vistas. We slept great in a comfy bed, relaxed on the lanai and adventured in the bays using the snorkeling gear and chairs we were able to borrow. It was a wonderful stay and we look forward to bringing our families back sometime. Thanks Michael, Greg, and Hannah!

1200 feet above Kealakekua Bay, South Kona

This was far and away our favorite place to stay on Hawaii. Michael and Greg have created a spot on experience. I had read reviews and knew we had to stay 2 nights, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Their place is beautiful, outstanding breakfast well orchestrated by Hannah and a bonus, delightful afternoon snack. I LOVED the porch where we ate breakfast and read and oogled at the stunning view. The property was landscaped beautifully, and was well kept. Their plantation has fruit trees which you will enjoy whatever is in season at breakfast. EVERYONE who was there was friendly, kind, and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat.

Plumeria Suite @ Hale-Hoola B & B

Carl and Elma are very friendly and helpful! Elma is an excellent cook and the gluten free breakfasts (I have celiac disease) were delicious and fresh! Carl was very helpful in giving us a map with recommendations of what to see in the area. We loved the private locking bedroom (key provided) with attached bathroom and private lanai with ocean view. Beautiful gardens, sunsets, stars, sunrises, birds, cows and wild pigs. It felt very close to nature sleeping at night. The mini fridge on the patio came in handy. It is about an hour south of Kona airport. We stayed for two nights on our island circumnavigation adventure. Greenwell Kona coffee tour was excellent, enjoyed the Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park, the painted church. Highly recommend Junjira Fresh Thai Kitchen at (near ChoiceMart grocery store -take out or patio seat) and Honaunau Poke Shop (takeout or patio seating) about 5-10 miles north. We would definitely choose to stay here again. Thanks Carl and Elma!

Megan is so sweet and warm. She really makes you feel at home as well as her husband. It really felt like we were staying with family. The space is conveniently located to many areas. He house is cute and safe. She was always very attentive and quick to reply on Airbnb. And that’s very much appreciated. I would recommend family and friends to stay with Megan.

#1 King Suite

Our stay at Clem’s place was nothing short of amazing. We were greeted warmly by our hosts and shown around the property as well given a rundown of the extra amenities provided. Everything was perfect and the attention to detail was outstanding. I highly recommend staying here especially if you are a single traveler or a couple wishing to relax in a beautiful and peaceful environment surrounded by singing birds, friendly dogs, and good vibes. Also, don’t miss out on the delicious breakfast each morning! That was easily one of the highlights of our stay. Thanks again Clem and Angus, we will be back soon.

Hamakua X - Harmony

DavidRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I really enjoyed my 5 nights. My family had been with me for a couple weeks at a much higher nightly cost, so in my extra 10 days I wanted to ratchet down to a more reasonable nightly cost. And this natural paradise was a success for me. I loved getting know Honokaa area better - and the roads around this retreat are just remarkable with their huge eucalyptus trees! Kitchen was pristine, and they have a nice French press for my critical morning coffee. And enjoyed eating the farm’s bananas for breakfast. And space in the fridge & freezer for my extra foods left over. I was tempted to stay extra nights, but figured it better to keep exploring the awesome island. They had an extra blanket because it does get chilly in the middle of the night. Memorable and enjoyable airbnb!
