Barn vacation rentals in New Forest District

Just returned from a long weekend, staying at The Barn at Rotherwood. We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples) and had a great time. The Barn was perfect for us - really comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Debbie was very responsive and left us a really generous welcome hamper for our arrival - thank you Debbie! It was perfectly situated, on the edge of Itchenor, and was easy to get to Chichester, Bosham and the Witterings from there. We would recommend staying here!

We booked Natasha’s place at short notice for an overnight walking the SDW. Easy to find off the trail, cosy & comfortable with the log burner and good local pubs & cafe in S Harting for dinner & breakfast

Melanie’s farmland idyll is a wonderful space to base yourself for a romantic weekend or a working week. The place is immaculate and, being nestled in the Surrey/Sussex border, you have the best of Britain’s southern countryside on your doorstep. We’ll be back!

This was our second stay at John's Barn and we couldn't be happier - such a lovely place to stay, it truly feels like a home-away-from-home. The barn is really cozy and is surrounded by nature - this time we even came home to a small herd (maybe 10 or 12) deer who were walking along the road one night in the fog! We often saw deer, rabbits, foxes, and the odd farm cat on our walks around the grounds and along the nearby rambling trails. We don't get back to the UK very often but when we do we love staying at this property. It's very well kept, is in great location, and Bobbie is a lovely, helpful host. We can't wait to come back!

Spring Barn was absolutely beautiful, really well stocked and super cosy. The views from the hot tub are lovely and Spring Barn is very spacious but felt very homey. We stayed during the red warning storm and Donna was really helpful and kept in communication with us throughout, and was available in case of any issues. Donna was a really friendly host and was kind enough to leave a delicious cake for arrival and was flexible on check out times. The local area was stunning, we visited the Litton pub just down the road which was great, and Spring Barn is well located - close to Bath and Wells, Wells was definitely worth visiting! We would definitely recommend Spring Barn and will be rebooking! Thanks again to Donna for being such a fantastic host throughout our stay.

Gorgeous little getaway, right on some amazing walking paths and in the thick of the New Forest, we could have easily stayed for a week. The space itself is cosy, clean, and livable with everything you need and Liz was an outstanding host going above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay - which we did!

We had a lovely stay at the Stone barn. Nicky was very communicative and access was easy. The accommodations were beautiful and on point. The beds were cozy and warm, and the heated floors were a nice feature. Lovely views of the hills. The Christmas decor was sweet and the mince pies and chocolate Santa’s were a nice holiday touch. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

A great place for a stay in a beautiful part of the County. An old building converted to a modern eco friendly spec. Mod cons and comfortable.

When we arrived at the Chalwood Barn, it felt really clean and fresh, we were greeted with a bottle of cider and some local fudge which was a nice touch. The hosts came to visit us on arrival and explained the location and what’s going on in the area and where and how to get to different places. We visited Bath and Bristol, which was only 20 miles away from the Barn. After long days out walking and shopping the Barn felt really cosy place to come back too and rest up for the night. All in all a lovely place to visit in the middle of the countryside with the hustle of town life not too far away, we would throughly recommend and will be looking at rebooking for next year.

Lovely, relaxing weekend at the flower barn (even endured a storm!) but that did not put a downer on our stay. The flower barn is beautiful, so peaceful and the whole aesthetic of the place is wonderful. We met both Kate and Jules who were so friendly and lovely. Thank you so much!

Shelagh’s cottage was just lovely. Exactly as we expected, cozy and so well decorated. She gave us great recommendations kept check in to see if we were ok. The surroundings are just beautiful with the fields and sheep. The fire was so nice in the evenings. She left us lovely provisions for breakfast which were just more than enough for our stay. We will definitely come again !

The Brewhouse is a fab place to stay - homely, relaxing, clean and perfectly suited for walking into Town to find lots of eateries and the Cheese and Grain venue. Victoria is a fabulous host - communicative and helpful. Thanks so much we will defo visit again, looking forward to it already ❤️

My partner and I stayed in the one cottage with our baby and our friends stayed in the other with their children, the garden was beautifully kept and private with plenty of outdoor seating, very secure so felt at ease letting the children play. The cottages were nicely furnished and spotlessly clean, very well equipped kitchen with everything you would need to make any sort of meal. Plenty of room in the bedrooms for travel cots and lots of luggage. Location was great, small shops within walking distance, town only a short drive away, lots to do nearby. fortunately the weather was kind and we even got to drive the short distance to the ford to let the children paddle in the stream and get an icecream from the icecream van that parks there most days. Plenty of pubs near by serving good food. Anna and Tim were lovely, very welcoming and helpful with information and recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be visiting again.

The barn was just what we needed, a base to stay in to explore the island. The nature of the site means that there were a few creepy crawlies throughout our stay, it turned into a little sport as to what creatures we would find in the bathroom, daily. Not a criticism just something my husband wanted me to mention as this was a problem for him. The host was very friendly and showed us around explaining bits and bobs. The pub is worth a mention we ate there twice and both times were amazing. Sunday roast to die for and an evening meal all met with a friendly smile and chat, within walking distance, wear wellies. Just to the lane a small run farm shop with an honesty payment scheme, good local produce (not cheap) delicious cheese.

What a fabulous place. The photo’s don’t really do this place justice. The communication from Carol was brilliant on finding talbot barn and what to do in and around Marshfield. I can’t fault anything about this lovely place. And to top it off Carol had left us some homemade bread, which was lovely. Fresh eggs, butter, milk and a loads of other items. We would highly recommend to stay here. We will be when we are next down this way. Thanks Carol for a wonderful stay.

The cottage is spacious and beautiful . It has been thoughtfully designed with disabled peope in mind and was perfect for our needs. It was lovely and warm and Vanessa explained how to easily boost the heat if needed. The beds were very comfortable and the utility room is huge and had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is well equiped with plenty of tea, coffee and milk provided. The location was perfect for our trips to Glastonbury, Longleat and Frome. Vanessa was the perfect host and readily availabe should we need any help. We would definitely stay again.

We spent a long weekend at this lovely cottage that was great for a family of four. Sally was an amazing host, excellent communication and just so welcoming and she has really set the property up with the little things that people need. Sally was also so kind as to walk us all around the farm, which the kids absolutely loved. Could not recommend this listing any more, lovely location, excellent condition and just an all round great place to stay for exploring everything the local area has to offer.

We loved our stay at the Hayley's place. It was such a cosy place in a nice and secluded area. The place was so clean and well-equipped. We would 100% visit again.
