This 4 person tent is tucked away in the hollow of our sheep pasture. Listen to the babbling brook and watch the fire flies sparkle on a warm summer evening by the campfire. Included at your site is a fire ring, wood, park style grill, and 2 queen size beds. The restroom consists of a dry flush toilet .In the summer, wash up in our outdoor shower! It was everything we expected and more! Cody loaded our belongings into the gator and drove them back to our tent while his wife walked us to our location. It was a short walk. Cody had our Tiki torches lit and all of our belongings inside the tent. Despite being in a forest-we walked into a very clean tent. There was a lantern, sanitizer, and package of wet ones for easy cleanup. Outside of the tent there were 2 Adirondack chairs on the tent platform, chairs around a fire-pit, picnic table, hammock, and covered area with a tub of dishes and a grill. There was also a large jug of drinking water with a spout. The camp store was clean and cozy. Inside there were 4 bathrooms. 2 half baths and 2 full bathrooms with a shower in each. There were towels and mats outside of the bathrooms to grab and use. The bathrooms were very clean. Cody and his wife Elina were incredibly hospitable. They were very kind and helpful with anything we needed. We would stay again!

The only regret we had about our stay at Lumen was that we but had one night to give it. It was just as intriguing in person as it appeared online; the tents are beautifully furnished, and the grounds in which they reside are gorgeous and worth a walk. The public bathhouse is well made and was clean and cared for each time we used it. Of note for nights 40 degrees and below, the provided space heater will warm one side of the (King) bed, so let your chilliest person have that side. The rest of the tent remained closer to ambient temps. We very much wish to come back when next we’re in New Hampshire. It is a lovely little place, and there is great intent placed on ensuring a great experience for all.

We loved this place so much we hurried back for a second trip. Matthew and Trishs place proved to be consistent and just as magical even on a rainy day. Listening to the rain patter on the river while we idle on river rocks, and then warming our bodies in the heated outdoor shower was a treat. For us, this getaway comes before a surgery with some lengthy recovery. We are so grateful to be able to experience a place like this. It is worth every penny & every moment of travel!

My husband and I had flown in so we couldn't traditionally camp as we had wanted, but Michael's primitive glamp was exactly what we wanted! Private and had all the essentials. We didn't go to the pond it was a little further than we thought and we had been tromping around Acadia all day. Michael provided everything he said was there. Bed needs a little thicker of a mattress lol but aside that we had an amazing quiet time.

Pros: Really beautiful spot right next to a river which mostly covered up any road sound. Interior was adorable and equipped with what we needed and more: heater, lanterns, towels, fire poker, plenty of lighting etc. Porta potty and shower were very clean and hot tub was a very nice addition. Cool spots to explore down river. Cons: just little details like the bed was really squeaky, privacy screen still fairly see through, hot tub had some plant debris Overall: Incredible for the price and would stay there again
