Naughty Dog Private Island Log Cabin

KelliRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This trip was a very last minute thing for us. Our 4 year old pup was diagnosed with cancer and we just want him to be happy whether he has to leave us tomorrow or in two years. Kent made everything so perfect for us. With our dog going through chemo, he’s been “off” lately. We Didn’t know how he’d be with other people or dogs, he’s been weird when I HUG him sometimes… just going through it, ya know? Kent arranged times for us to go on the ferry with no other guests just to help us and our pup feel comfortable. It was the best trip ever. I cannot tell you how badly you need this trip😂. It couldn’t have been better. Make sure to use bug spray (or just have a fire going all the time, the bugs don’t like that haha), bring at least two books if you’re a reader, it’s AMAZING! GO OUT ON THE KAYAKS! Check out stars at night! Our first night we were stargazing and I saw THREE shooting stars and I finally looked up why I saw so many in such a short time and there was a meteor shower happening!

Waterfront Island Maine Getaway

HalRating, 5 stars7 months ago
A remote, private and beautiful home on 20 acres. The house is like an older farmhouse with great views to the west from every room. The waterfront deck is perfect to watch sunsets, and the house is decorated with interesting and beautiful art and other objects. Would definitely stay there again.

Island Camp (Boat Needed)

NancyRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Our family had a wonderful time swimming, boating, fishing, hiking the trails, canoeing and sitting by the nightly campfire. Whenever we had needs, Michelle answered promptly and graciously. Lee was a huge help, as well. FANTASTIC hosts!!!!

19th Century Island Cottage

CamillaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay at eagle island. The cabin is very rustic, and might not be for everyone, but for us it was perfect. Beautiful surroundings and very private. We had fun discovering the island and getting to know the history and the few neighbors. We hope to come back.

Isle Be Back!

FrancescaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Rachel’s place was perfect. Being new to the island, I had lots of questions during my planning to take my family to Matinicus for a week and Rachel responded quickly and kindly each time. She even bought a new and improved blender for us in case the other two in the kitchen weren’t quite right. The house suited us to a tea. Comfortable and peaceful. The perfect place for my family to reconnect after being spread out during a busy summer. But here is the best example of Rachel’s kindness: We forgot our car key in the house and only realized once we were on the boat back. We called Rachel from Rockland make sure the key was still in the house. She quickly found it and ran it to the mail plane who was able to get it us a few hours later. It was amazing.

Mrs. Otis's Cabin with Woodland View

SandraRating, 5 stars6 days ago
What an amazing place! Mrs. Otis's was just as described and pictured. We spent 2 nights and will gladly return for more especially when it's warmer (or snowier for xcountry skiing) and we can enjoy more of the outdoor amenities that White Pine Camp has to offer. We loved the rustic and historic location, buildings and furnishings. Check out the boat house, Tea House, Bowling Alley, and Tennis House for a glimpse into the Great Camp history of the ADKs. The gas "wood burning" stove in our cabin added nice ambiance. The staff member in the office easily helped us out with a personal request. We were told cell service depends on carrier, we were fine with Verizon, though once you get to WPC you will want to tune out the rest of the world and relax! On a hike around the property I saw a beaver swimming! Just perfect!

CT Private Home on Belden Island

FredRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Magical! The house and lawn are immaculate and delightful. The bedrooms are large and filled with light. The condition of this house is stunningly fine, and its age of more than 100 years makes it a thrilling place. We brought kayaks, and a kayak ride from the nearby town takes only 10 minutes. Having kayaks permits you to explore the many beautiful islands nearby. On the other hand, the little ferry service is wonderfully friendly and efficient, and they happily carried some of us and lots of luggage. We loved swimming around the island, either jumping off the dock or wading in from the little beach, and we took great pleasure from the outdoor shower! (Oh: there are also two indoor showers.) The kitchen is wonderful for cooking, as are the outdoor grills, and we did all of our dining outdoors, either on the beautiful porches or the surprisingly spacious lawn. In summation: Wow!

Island Cottage Getaway in Casco Bay!!

MeganRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Getting up everyday and walking to the beach, or watching the sunrise from the porch really set our day off on the right foot. We spent all day on the beach, or exploring the island. My kids collected bags of seaglass and driftwood. We splashed in the waves, soaking in all the sunshine and salty air goodness. Nights were spent taking sunset walks, making smores by the fire, and star gazing. We saw Saturn and the Milky Way! My kids had a great time on the lobster boat with Jerry. Homeschool science lesson!!! I planned and packed as if we would be camping, and that allowed us to fully enjoy the home and vacation for exactly what it was. We had hot water to wash dishes, and do sunset baths in a bin outside. My husband showered and didnt have any hot water complaints. Things I recommend-sponges, coffee if you are picky (I am), watershoes, castile soap (can be used for all cleaning needs), bug spray, headlamps for exploring at night, and a well stocked first aid kit just in case.

Private island home on Tuckernuck, Nantucket

SarahRating, 5 stars7 months ago
After knowing Nantucket for decades but feeing sadness at the development and change through the years, I always longed to visit Tuckernuck when eyeing it from Smith Point. As soon as I connected with John and heard about the Decoy, I knew it would be a trip like nothing else. Tuckernuck was truly stepping into the past. The property itself afforded acres of privacy, incredible sunrises, stargazing, and sky/sea-scapes, and excellent comraderie with yard games and visiting. The house is a museum where the love and history of generations is preserved, and was stocked with everything we could have needed. The island - well, I don't have the words to describe that. But something of another world for the adventurous and those who crave lack of modernization and a simpler time. My dog, group, and I had the trip and experience of a lifetime, and nothing can compare. Harry and Mark were above and beyond communicators and help despite challenging circumstances. We couldn't be more grateful.
