We came for the wood-burning stove, but we enjoyed every cozy touch built into the Pond Lily Schoolhouse: the restored floors, wainscotting, and fixtures; the isolated and peaceful location; the comfy chaise couch; the ample windows, and therefore ample sunlight. The entire house was well-kept and easy to get comfortable in. We could have stayed a week, easily, especially with Knuth Brewing and Fox and Crow Bistro just 30 minutes away for those times we wanted to get out and see the surrounding area (not to mention eat some absolutely delicious food). The isolation and peaceful atmosphere were also a welcome change from our day-to-day life in Chicago. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. We'll be back :-)

Quaint cabin in a beautiful setting. Great place to escape, if only for the weekend. Everything was clean and it is just a very relaxing place. Host did a great job with the decor and left clear instructions and provided great communication. Highly recommend.

Charming little hobby farm. Great spot not too far out of the cities or towns. Picturesque little brook allowed us the strange zen like thrill of walking out on ice. Can only imagine how fun it is to take canoes out in the summer. Trevor has built himself a hidden gem of a dock that was great for our couples weekend getaway but I could imagine returning alone just to hold up and write. The property accepts and suits all kinds. We got a kick out of reading the extensive guestbook filled with stories of all sorts from families to hippies and everyone in between!

A wonderful, peaceful place to stay! We chose this area as we wanted ti be in between Madison and Green Bay and this place stood out as soon as we started looking. The description is exactly what we wanted, the location peaceful, yet close enough to town if you needed anything. The house was clean and stocked with all the amenities you will need for your stay. The owner was extremely responsive when asking something. We definitely want to return to this house in the summer months.
