Monthly Rentals in Mistley

We had a great Easter break, it was quiet and met all our needs to be able to walk each day and not really need to get into the car. The layout was ideal for us and the 2 dogs and though there are people around you we felt private and did not hear any of the neighbours, the kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was very comfortable and so was the bed which was a plus. Would definitely consider using this as a base again.

Thank you Janet for hosting the most wonderful stay! The cottage is clean, cosy and beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful details. It was the perfect location for scenic walks - our favourite being the close walk around Flatford Mill. Plenty of local friendly pubs around too. Janet is one of the kindest hosts, thank you for making us feel so at home!!

We loved our stay at the Old Piggery! We were looking for somewhere peaceful in the countryside to spend a relaxing weekend and the Old Piggery was perfect. Communication before and during our stay was really good and the owners allowed us to change our booking dates at short notice due to illness. It was easy to find and check in was super easy with the lock box. The place is beautiful with the large open plan living room/kitchen with a woodburner. We loved that each bedroom had it's own door to the garden and views over the fields towards the river. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfy and there were lots of books/games. It could do with a deep clean and new towels but these things didn't really bother us. It was easy to walk to the river/beach. We saw lots of wildlife in the garden and surrounding areas. We were lucky with the weather being cold but sunny end of Jan and can imagine the garden is amazing in the warmer months for a bbq. We would love to visit again!

We had a lovely stay in Wherry Cottage. Stuart has thought of everything and it's a very comfortable, practical and stylish little house. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view of the estuary in the morning was lovely. We particularly enjoyed the very generous welcome pack and great local recommendations from Stuart. Manningtree is charming and we found it very easy to do a lot without needing a car, including walking to the beautiful nature reserves around Wrabness and getting the train back to Mistley, and walking to Dedham and back along the river via Flatford. Highly recommend!
