What a little gem. Wonderful hosts, super friendly and kind. Being right next to the farm was great and my 4yr old really enjoyed the hot tub and having the chickens there, so much so whenever we suggested going off-site she just wanted to stay! Normally we like a key safe and never to see a host, but these guys have the balance just perfect of being around and friendly but giving you space. The cabin was the perfect retreat for our little family and the village is great with all amenities too.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Fallow Lodge! Everything was just perfect—from the cozy atmosphere to the peaceful surroundings. The host was incredibly friendly and communication was smooth and easy throughout. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay, the pod (pod 2) accommodation was fantastic and fitted our needs as a family of 4, with brilliant views that could be enjoyed from the hot tub. The onsite play park for kids was unexpected but really good and there was plenty of other space for them to play too. We didn't pay attention to which pod we had booked but there are different internal layouts and orientations/locations on the site so something we will be aware of next time we come.

Alex and Liz were responsive, welcoming and professional. Their property, which they built themselves, was better than described and filled with personal touches. The property is the perfect, warm and relaxing retreat. Would recommend.

I loved it so much I have booked to go again, disappointed that the prices are higher. However it was the perfect break that I needed.

Booked for a 2 night stay and was perfect for a very relaxing time. Very easy to find in a beautiful little village. The instructions for getting in was perfect and great parking close to the lodge. The lodge was very clean and simple inside perfect for what we wanted. lots of room inside for the two of us and a Newfoundland dog and must say he really enjoyed his stay here also. The lodge is in the grounds of the Greenman pub this is a real bonus as the pub is a beautiful English pub with fantastic food and staff who made us feel really welcome it really is worth eating here and having a chat with the locals just how a pub should be good beer great food and lovely people thank you. 1 great thing about staying here is you step out straight into the countryside with gorgeous walks which me and the dog enjoyed. Lovely cabin stay to visit our friends who live locally. Anna took great care of us and the cabin has everything you need for a short stay. Super friendly hosts, especially loved the finishing touches of juice, milk and hot cross buns for us to enjoy. Clean and tidy, super comfortable bed too! Really couldn't ask for anything more!!!! 10/10, we will be returning!

Great cabin- had everything we needed for a lovely few days away. The location was great to explore local areas and lovely walks nearby. We recommend the heights of Abraham and lovely black rocks trail parkrun (if you are here on a Saturday). Host was lovely and very responsive when messaging! Very much enjoyed our time in Crich!

This was a great stay! The lodge is very cosy and comfortable, we had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly also! It's a great location for hiking with a dog, there are fields opposite the property but also at the back! Will definitely come back again :)

Brilliant amenities in the cabin, felt very spacious! Loved the rewilding, enjoyed the woodland walk and watching the trains (not noisy, don’t worry!). We can recommend Belton House, walk between Woolthorpe and Belvoir Castle and Mannakin Hall! Hope to stay here again : )

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The living areas were nicely decorated. We felt right at home! We’ll definitely stay here again.

Amazing accommodation- really well maintained and spacious. Also very secure- just what we wanted and needed for our time down in the area. Donna was there to greet us and had milk/water in the fridge and hamper of tea/coffee/biscuits and cereals available. We are already booked for our next trip. Would highly recommend this host/accommodation.

We had a lovely time, even in winter when the rain was pouring! It's cosy and clean, close to Rutland water if you want to visit. I'm originally from Rutland and we were visiting family, it's a short journey to Oakham, Uppingham, Rutland water, close to amenities. It was great to have the dog with us and our 5-year-old. We will be booking again!

We spent Easter weekend at Lodge Phoenix. The experience was unreal, the beauty unmatched. The place was tastefully decorated. Maria was very responsive and helped us out promptly. Highly highly recommend for a peaceful getaway

Great little getaway in a lovely park-like location on a beautiful lake. If you like watersports, this is the place for you! (We were in the area to visit family, so we didn’t partake in any water sports). Very well appointed lodge with everything you need. A couple minor issues (eg. couldn’t find a remote) were dealt with quickly. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway or family vacation.
